They used the same mechanical trex in the last two films, just added a second for TLW U retards lol
it even says on the extras of the dvd's
so yh it is still a load of bollox. On the scale graph pictures he looks smaller in length and mainly height due to the sail on spino but in the actual battle in the movie they looked same size.
Infact! If u wanna get really technical like u all seem to be doin, both spino and rex were under sized. Rex technically shoulda been the length of th
JP3 spino n spino prob 50ft instead of 45
If you look at the Brachiosaurus you'll see a beast that would need decades to grow that size in real life. In Jurassic Park, it took only 5-7 years. It's all well explained in the novel. Some of the characters asks why the dinosaurs are so big if they started the park a few years before. Dr.Wu answer saying they just sped up the growth rate.
So I think they sped it up by 5-7 years...
Yeah. They needed a "product" that took a long time to grow, but they needed it in a short amount of time. So, they sped up the growing process. The real question is, by how much?
There's no such thing as Velociraptor antirrhupos. There's Deinonychus antirrhupos and it's nearly 6 ft tall, but no Velociraptor antirrhupos. They "combined" the two and made Deinonychus a species of Velociraptor. That way they could make a 3 ft tall Velociraptor twice as big.
True. Much more that they actually WANTED dinosaurs to grow very fast in a relatively small amount of time.
There's no way to confirm or deny any of this really. However, I said cloning usually speeds up growth twice as fast. There's a little "wiggle room" for that statement. All in all, I don't think Rexy was all that old simply because she was huge, but I still think she would have been at least 10.
I mean giant by Jurassic Park standards. I agree with your estimation though.
There wasn't any InGen 15 years before 1993. InGen was formed during the 1980', perhaps 1983. So a 15 old Rexy by the events of the film would be excluded.
That's my opinion though, and I still think this is a very interesting subject! ;)
iNGEN has it's secrets DinoSteve. Need I bring up Site B? Spinosaurus? The Pteranodons?
Good point. Well done.
She would be a giant indeed. I still think she couldn't be 15 in the movie, as the park itself was three times younger...
Interesting thread though.
I know Indiana. Hmmm... being the biggest doesn't mean neccessarly Rexy/Big Red is also the oldest! Every dinosaur (like every creature) is different. Maybe Rexy is just a freaking giant for her species on Isla Nublar and Sorna. Let's also take the fact that genethics and cloning have an important spot here. ;)
Yes. Also I thought a little sexual dimorphism wouldn't hurt anyone ;)
Same here. Rexy would be utterly immense!
No problem. I like how Terrance and Tommy look similar(minus the sizes) since they're both male Tyrannosaurus'.
She would be massibe. I'd love to see that.
Glad you like my site Indiana Jones. Cryolophosaurus is featured on it ;)
Ok Indiana Jones, I didn't remember too well. Of course, that wouldn't add more than 0.5-1 year? Rexy has still many years to live.
Oh, and forgot bout Cryolophosaurus. I don't think it is going to appear in the film. It would be cool, but there are many other cooler choice. Like Troodon. It was said and re-said, yes. But I do still think at it. It would also appear for continuity factors, as it already made an appearance in JP:TG.
Indiana Jones is right about the sub-adult Rex. Cryolophosaurus would not be a bad choice, but I don't know if it's the right choice.
Great job, both of you. Love the pic and the chapter was good too.
Great chapter, good job MrHappy! ;)
Yes. What I was trying to say (sort of) :)
I haven't read the book. So that could almost guarantee Rexy to come back as King (or Queen in her case).
If you can clone dinosaurs, you can accelerate their growth rate very easy actually. It's all ecplained in the novel. Dr.Wu says there that they speeded up their growth rate to fit the park needs.
I know this is insane, but it's the truth.
5-6 years old? How the hell could she that big when she's that young? I don't care WHAT genetic engineering you've done, you're not getting 40+ foot Rex in 6 years. Maybe they had one of those big ass holding containers until the park was built. 6 years and 40+ feet long and at least 9 tons in weight. That's insane, that's like gaining 100 pounds a day everyday for her entire life.
If that was the case though, she would be so freaking huge it would'nt be funny. Malcolm could see her and say "Hey look, it's King Kong."
More so likely that he escaped because the big one attacked him. It's a damn shame he died IRL. It looked like he died, there is no actual proof that he DID die.
That and he's freaking BADASS.
Platforms of the original OG, but updated. Xbox360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 PC. I'D prefer however PC
Me too, DinoSteve. More dinos, more missions, better graphics. But what platforms?
^^ gta online with dinos instead of cars, sign me up...
I perfectly agree with noah. He's just a badass. So, if the film only hinted that he could die, I don't take it as a fact. So I hope he's still alive, and managed to kill or escape the Raptor.
Seems cool. I'd play something like this.
