It's often been said that Rexy is old due to her size. At 46 ft(14 meters) long and 10+ tons in weight, she would be roughly 30 years old. That's about as old as a standard Rex can get. A standard Rex. Rexy is not your standard Rex. When something is cloned, it often reaches maturity faster. Usually twice as fast. So, if a 46 ft standard Rex would be 30 years old or so, Rexy might only be 15. By the time Jurassic World rolls around, there's a high chance she'd still be alive. If Jurassic World takes place 22 years after the events of Isla Nublar, Rexy would be 37. Old, but not nearly as old as she would have been if she was 30 in Jurassic Park(52 if that were the case). Maybe good ol' Rexy was still in her prime during the first movie. Also, if she was only 15 in the first Jurassic Park and was already 46 ft long, then god help whoever encounters this giant beast in Jurassic World...

There wasn't any InGen 15 years before 1993. InGen was formed during the 1980', perhaps 1983. So a 15 old Rexy by the events of the film would be excluded.
That's my opinion though, and I still think this is a very interesting subject! ;)

There's no way to confirm or deny any of this really. However, I said cloning usually speeds up growth twice as fast. There's a little "wiggle room" for that statement. All in all, I don't think Rexy was all that old simply because she was huge, but I still think she would have been at least 10.

Yeah. They needed a "product" that took a long time to grow, but they needed it in a short amount of time. So, they sped up the growing process. The real question is, by how much?

If you look at the Brachiosaurus you'll see a beast that would need decades to grow that size in real life. In Jurassic Park, it took only 5-7 years. It's all well explained in the novel. Some of the characters asks why the dinosaurs are so big if they started the park a few years before. Dr.Wu answer saying they just sped up the growth rate.
So I think they sped it up by 5-7 years...

It doesn't happen often. There was the Rex vs Giga I wrote after Sniper's Rex Vs Giga, or BlackSpino44's What do you want to see in JW where I commented about Rexy possibly being in it, and then I made a discussion.
