Either way, Bright-Eyes and Storm represent the good ole days on the forums. I could never bad mouth Bright-Eyes and I don't think DS could do the same for Storm.

Storm(see pic above)

Size- 45 ft long and 17,000 pounds

Description- Storm is a combat veteran. He ahs faced off against and defeated other Rexes and he has a deep hatred for raptors. This hate stems from some nasty enocounters when he was young(hence the scar on his snout). While very smart and powerful, Storm is also haunted by the ghosts of his past on occasion.

As you can see, we have yet another worthy competitor!

DinoSteve93Jurassic Park Games Forum2000th Post Details

This post is to make everyone know my character entry, named Bright eyes.

We begin!

Balaur bondoc: He looks like this: http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2013/271/4/5/balaur_bondoc_by_moricemonkey93-d6oazq6.jpg

(Drawn 3 fingers instead of 2, but you got the idea :P )

Physical traits: 6ft long, 3ft tall, 30kg heavy. He is sort of powerful for his size, but he is very, very agile and fast, capable of JP Velociraptors speed, and their jumps too. He has a moderate bite, but his sets of sharp claws make up for this.

Emotional traits: He had a rough past, all his family has been killed, and he had to survive alone. Because of this, he gathered a great level of combat skills and life experience. He's a great hunter, as he uses a lot of strategy and thinking. He can't forget his past, thing that makes him tougher and more dangerous than he should be. He is gentle with the ones he love, showing even compassion. However, he's a constant danger for his enemies. He hardly has happy moments.
His most interesting trait, however is his extraordinary intelligence! Because of some green berries (hence his eyes are green), that his mother ate when pregnant, he inherited an amazing level of intelligence, equal to that of humans. He is problem solving, uses and makes complex strategies to overpower his stronger opponents, and constantly THINKS. He is definitely a great thinker, with a vast imagination. Because of his look, his enemies often underestimate him, having a surprise when he shows what he's capable of.

He has just a single weapon, with a destructive effect: he managed to craft a dart thrower. With his amazing intelligence, he made a wood mechanism attached to his foot. Simply a small wooden tube that releases a poisonous dart, poison collected from the green berries that made him clever. However, he has just 1 dart. He must use it in desperate situations. Also, the poison makes effect just after 20 minutes. But it's deadly.

Skills: As I said, he is very wise and has a great amount of experience. He knows what to expect and when. He is also very skilled in combat and crafting, being an expert hunter that relies on both fighting and trap making. Yes, he makes traps!

ALL advantages: speed, agility, natural weapons (bite, claws), human intelligence (also emotions), experience, combat skill, crafting, dart thrower.

ALL disadvantages: his size, and... I don't know if this is really a disadvantage, but here we go. He can show too much compassion at times.

I tend to prefer the Raptor scenes from these movies. I really don't know if I prefer the Velociraptor or the T.rex. This is JP wise, of course, as the real T.rex is a lot better than the real Velociraptor :P

I can't believe everyone is so upset about this. This is my favorite raptor yet. They have the vertical pupils, the creepy yellow eye, and they're perfectly camoflaged. I read the books -- numerous times. This raptor is the most like the one in Jurassic Park (the novel) than any others have been so far. Perfect! And it's also the scariest raptor yet, IMO.

I've been a fan of the original story for a long time. The way I see it, everyone who likes the pretty, colorful, comically intelligent raptors in JPIII: You've had your day. You have the JPIII raptors whenever you want to see them. But fans of the novel and original film have yet to see a quality raptor since the contemporary special effects of 1993.

I'm ready to see the novel raptors come to life, and I think it's about time Crichton's raptors got their due.

@RexFan yeah man, it's always bothered me that we have always jumped the guns when it comes to giant theropod remains. People are always so quick to try to dethrone tyrannosaurus as the largest predatory dinosaur, and they do it off of very few bones. But it's absolutely not ok to scale up a few bones of potentially very large Tyrannosaurus individuals? logic.

Oh also about ucmp 118742, did you ever consider the reason that it died was because it was growing to fast for its bones to handle.

Erhm, no. I have yet to hear a case of this happening in any animal, let alone Tyrannosaurus.

It's not tht its crazy, it's that for rex we have many other specimens all ranging from 7-9 tons and 37-42 feet long, so we can't just start averaging rex that high.

Well, when we have a little over 40 or so specimens of Tyrannosaurus Rex i think it's safe to assume that we can guess a basic average for these theropods' length and weight. They do that with Allosaurus Fragilis, why is it not plausible with Tyrannosaurus?  37-42 feet long and 7 - 9 tons is right on the money imo.

Hmm, turned your post about a fight into one about T.rex size estimates. Hmm, how bout that, haha.

Hiphopananomus Dinosaurs ForumDinosaur duels #7: Mapusaurus pack vs Tyrannosaurs pair

Agree with most pf your estimates don't know if I agree with 15 metre. Or above 10 tons.

I myself see rex averaging at 7-8 tons and 39-44 feet long

and maxing at 9-10 tons and 45-47 feet longI personally don't think any theropod geting above 10 tons.

Or the reason it's only known from a few bones is because it was snuffed out by a rival and then his corpse was eaten.

Personally, I feel T.rex averaged about 12-13 meters long and 7-9 tons while it reached a max size of 14-15 meters long and 10+ tons.

We can put a max of that high but not an average, also the method that got those specimens above 10 tons hasn't been done on other dinosaurs.
