Rex Fan 684 - I agree with you on this one. It makes sence in nature expecially when we have an example in the way lions hunt.
have you guys ever played a game called jaws unleashed?
it's a game where we play as jaws (great white shark) and we are free to roam the ocean around amity island after we finish the arcade
we can either do the mission or just roam hunting human, fish, whales and other creatures in there
the game also has a hunger meter and hunting meter where we constantly need to feed and hunt or we're dead
now, I'm thinking about a pretty similar game, where we play as a T-rex, Raptor, Spino, Troodon, Dilo or other dinos and we are free to roam isla sorna and/or isla nublar, hunting, eating, fighting herbivores, carnivores or maybe even human either tourist or poacher
it'd be a cool game imo
Very interesting... Thanks for sharing this!
I don't have any ideas. I'm just exited for Prehistoric Kngdom!
(The tech demo is going to be realeased very soon.)
That's what makes it special.
Thanks for the info rex fan, Almosaurus is definitely a cool dinosaur, its strange to see that it lived in North America unlike the other titanosarurs which lived in Africa/South America.
Nice find, I do agree, i think pterosaurs were very social animals.
Trust me, I bet you won't see it coming ;)
Definetly is! i remember WWD doing an episode on pterosaurs...ornithocheirus if i remember correctly. And they showed it as a lone animal, only gathering in the mating season. This new find is definetly a game changer in that realm
Very interesting. Speaking of pterosaurs, i think at the American Museum of Natural History they have an exhibit on pterosaurs until Jan. 5 2015
Greg Paul put spino at 4 tons, so you aren't too far off ;)
ciffhangers man, gotta love and hate them. Will try to read part 2 when i can, looking forward to it
Great chapter. Can't wait to see what scared them off.
It takes place on Isla Nublar on the year 2040, years after the park fails. That's all I'm saying.
@RexFan if i'm correct, they don't even know if those remains are Alamosaurus or not. They very well could be...
Now, on to pack hunting Tyrannosaurids. We have evidence of this occuring - at least large amounts of Tyrannosaurs, namely Albertosaurus - found in large gatherings, all being killed off at once. The individuals ranged from 5 or so meters, to a very old gargantuan 11 meter animal. Such variation in size suggests at pack living in at least the mid sized Tyrannosaurs.
The Larger species, such as Tarbosaurus, Zhuchengtyrannus, and of course Tyrannosaurus would certainly not need that advantage. They are already large enough to take down large animals on their own. However, When the youngsters come out of their egg and are old enough, cooperative hunting in family groups was bound to happen.
Yeah, I'd hope to see JPOG 2 but, I doubt we will.
luckily prehistoric kingdoms tech demo should be out soon I hope!
So you are literally making Rex the winner everytime? Well as one man to another, please dont make it come out on top almost every single time. I mean you make good fights, but one big factor of making a good fight is not knowing who the winner is going to be, and every time i see you post a fight with Rex in it, its preety much a no brainer to who wins.
Something like operation Genesis, but with more real life acurate dinosaurs
great fight as always Mr.Happy.rooting for rex. what is the last bonus fight going be?
Alamosaurus was a large titanosaur from North America. The first specimens indicated animals about 60 feet long and 20-25 tons. However, new bones indicate these dinosaurs were comparable to Argentinosaurus in size, somewhere around 80-100+ feet long and 70-100+ tons...

Thanks guys. Figured you'd like this one.
It's a good fight, regardless of the winner.
Alrighty then, hopefully the last part is a shocker.
I've never heard about alamosaurus, I'll have to do some reserch.
I mean the actual fight as in this vs this, not the winners. There's not a chance in hell Rex vs Spino would have been in Round 1 of LS if I didn't use the random matchup thing.
That said, I'm writing FBR VI, so stay tuned for that.
Thanks UCMP.
Great chapter, looking forward to the next.
Jezza does have a valid point, i mean look at all of the fights Mr Happy posts with T-Rex, and who wins 99.9 % of the time? Ill let others be the judge of that. I know he says he has a random generator, but when the generator is in T-Rex's favor most of the time, most would assume the generator is biased or Mr Happy doesnt have a random generator.
Thanks guys.
S-Rex, I've got the second part of this, then one last bonus fight, and I'm done posting a series for a while.
Nice chapter, looking forward to the next one.
Preety cool fight, i like the cliffhanger. I guess you guys are wondering why ive not been posting fights. The reason being is that there are all kinds of fights being posted by you guys, so im gonna wait till there arent quite an abundance ;)
Curse you cliffhangers!!!
Haha, nicely done. Rooting for T.rex of course.
Yeah Hipho, you forgot about Alamosaurus.
Anyways, I always felt tyrannosaurs were pack hunters. I see the juveniles and sub-adults scaring up, say a hadrosaur, and chasing it into the jaws of the slower, but stronger adults.
Wow. This is amazing. I'll still be rooting for Utahraptor, but I'm expecting Tyrannosaurus to win.
Thanks for sharing this! I think the pack hunting was family groups.
Now that's what I call an amazing cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next one.
I personally believe that the smaller tyrannosaurids lived in larger packs, whilst the northern Tyrannosaurs (rex) lived in small family groups. but in the south, where there was a different type of prey, I personally believe that the "Tyrannosaurus X" (or as I like to call it "Tyrannosaurus australi" the southern Tyrant Lizard) lived in small packs of up to 5 members and hunted the Alamosaurs and the smaller Hadrosaurs.
