I don't know. I'm still skeptical. I find the Lego D-Rex head to be a better match for the shadow. The upper jaw for the Spinosaurus is too thin.
Compare the shadow pic and a pic of the Spino skeleton on the new viral website. Also, extras claim the photo is a Spino skeleton.
D-Rex might be like a chameleon? with ability to camouflage
That shadow is too "full" to be a skeleton's shadow. It looks as if there is flesh around the head(if that makes sense).
I ment a fossil Spinosaurus skeleton on display at the park.
Viral? Does that mean it's sponsored by Colin and the crew or is it fan made/supported?
I do think that there will be at least 2 T-rexes in JW, for breeding purposes, but the last thing the park's staff would want is to have both of them in the same enclosure. That would make things too dangerous for visitors, the staff, and to each other. It is always a risk when breeding does occur in zoos, because injuries and deaths do occur. I remember sevral years ago, my local zoo got this new male Sumatran tiger, and wanted him to breed with the resident female (who was a very beautiful specimen and a wonderful mother). They did get into a scuffle, and with one swipe of his paw, the new male broke her neck. She died on impact. Now imagine how much damage either Rex could do to each other if they lost their tempers...
Besides, even if they did get along fine, how would anyone be able to control their breeding with Mom and Dad hovering over the nest all the time?
Alpha, indeed there's a forth digit!
But Spinosaurus isn't on the list of dinosaurs that was released.
Actually, it's a Spinosaurus skeleton:http://www.masraniglobal.com/img/media_pic8_large.jpg
I really do think that the LEGO D-rex is the legit one, and it does match that skull's shadow. I can't wait to see how formidable and hideous she is!!!
I just noticed something about the LEGO model. D-rex was supposed to be scarier and more intelligent than ever, right? Well, look at her hands. There are opposable thumbs. I don't know if she will have them in the movie, but if she does, than she's gonna be a lot worse than the door-opening raptors...
I so want to see thus movie!!!
This may confirm the Legos are legit and that the shadow is indeed D-Rex
Interesting.
O_O u are right it seems
Sweet, big fan of Lego, look's awesome!
Notice how the head matches the mysterious shadow labelled Rex Redemption?

Anyone notice how the D-Rex head matches the shape of the mysterious shadow labeled Rex Redemption? Bum bum bum!!!!!
Nice Something Real, love that idea about the raptors! Also based on the green one we saw in the picture, I think that they(green) arn't, but the other ones with random colours are...Maybe the "dead-ends"were give to Owen to study...maybe they capture ones from the wild to make the D-Rex...and lefts over they give to Owen? Maybe...
I'm not opposed to the idea of a Rex breeding pair.
This is awesome! The Diabolus Rex looks incredible, and so do the raptors. Can't wait for more sets (if there will be any more sets, that is).
I don't think anyone has said anything yet but the bottom two pics look like compsognathus instead of raptors. They appear much smaller and only have one LEGO thing on its back and the raptors have four. There's other noticeable features that are different, too.
BTW +fromholland, I think the D-Rex looks like it has a larger head, but the T-Rex has a bigger body. You can't really tell from these pictures.
JP CARNOTAUR - You've got a very compelling notion here! It may be a bit far-fetched, but the difference in coloration we're seeing in these cute little toys may be indicative of the fact that some of the raptors might be experimental "dead-ends" that were used during the process to create the D-Rex. As such, some of them might be able to shift in coloration! It's not exactly a safe bet, but it could be a neat premise if presented in an interesting fashion! Regardless, thank you for bringing this concept forward! :)
ULTRA PREDATOR - Wow! That was an incredibly neat and very lengthy chapter! The details you've provided really help to round out your concepts! Excellent work! Thank you ever so much for sharing this with us! :)
I want it to be charcoal black, the area of skin directly above all of its ribs are white and the area over its spine going from the back of the neck to the tip of the tail all white. With dark red eyes.
I can't really tell if the D-rex lego model is bigger than the T-rex lego model. Anyone?
i can see them having both a male and female but i think it would be kind of hard to maintane and care for them
Nice work noah, sort of what I said, glad to see others agreeing, here
http://www.jurassicworldnews.com/community/forums/topic/38809 Like we both said, lego's is brown, (female) brochure refers to King, male+green...
^I agree, Colin is doing a great job. I was hesitant at first, but as I heard more and more of the story, I now have complete faith in him.
Yes I agree with your assesments, Noah. As much as I want to see the full D-Rex, I don't want to be spoiled to early. I don't even think they should fully reveal him, until after the movie comes out.
Well, Acording to the Little Trailer Leak from Fans, It's supposed to be something like that, It's also supposed to have a Cameleon feature to it like in TLW Book.
They'd have to be pretty stupid to Fully reveal it early on.
I'd like to Coin the Phrase "In colin We trust" I have faith in his Directing and Writing skills.
They may show bits of the D-Rex, But I highly doubt they'd do it all at once.
For the Rexes, I think if they Had a mating Pair, It might be a good Idea, But Rexes would be a difficult animal to Domesticate. So, The Bull may just be a Steer Instead, As to Control breeding.
NOAH ECKECKENRODE - There's definately some merit to your hypothesis! I'd greatly enjoy seeing a mated pair of Tyrannosaurs in the film! :)
Sounds great! Take all the time you need on it. :)
I think it depends the measurement. I'll check that.
New Lego T-Rex pic:
Image removed at request of NBC Universal - *Chris
Sue's skull is actually closer to 1.4 m long than to 1.5 m long (from what I read). Agreed that T.rex's skull is the most volouminus between the Theropods. Giant Carcharodontosaurids' skull are likely longer but more slender and definitely not as wide.
X_PADEN_X - How excellent! I'm very much looking forward to seeing your new work! :)
