It's everbodies favorite Jurassic Park charcter! Mr. DNA!
How could Rexy be in JW? The magic of movie logic! Thats how.
As SilverFalcon said these pictures are on the interent, compare these pictures of dinosaurs with the dinosaurs on that picture.

We need to look for pictures that fit in the sillouette. And let me tell you, you need to dig deep. I found the Spinosaurus one on page 14 on google images.
TYRANT KING - I believe the concept has potential - though it must be done with extreme care so as not to be silly. If we're made to understand that Owens is walking on a razor's edge between life and death with the raptors at all times, that will definately make the interactions between him and the animals much more interesting! :)
@Gigadino interesting topic, however JW and every other JP aren't based on facts. If they where Rexy and the raptors would be covered in feathers, Spinto would be walking on all fours, etc.. I see your point on how Rexy would already be dead and based on facts if it was a real tyrannosaurus it would be. Jurassic Parks dinosaurs where genetically modified which explains why the Rex can't see you if you don't movie. Also my point is that along with the dinosaurs being genetically modified, the screenwriters of the movie can make this Rex be Rexy or the baby from the lost world or anything else because they are not based on facts. Their is no way to bring back dinosaurs and at that make D-Rex. I'm hoping it is Rexy, but as many mentioned before the scars are on the wrong side. So basically their is a 50-50 chance of this being Rexy or another Rex. It's all based on what the screenwriters want.
But those aren't monsters (even though they're kind of), but dinosaurs (even though they're more like hybrid, rather than true dinosaurs).
I'm a Spinosaurus. Not bad.
its jurassic park, the can make a new species of dinosaur. so why not let them live longer... for the park its a money safer. still its a movie and everything is possible in movies ;)
I'm not claiming that she won't appear, I'm saying that using Rexy is strange, for the motivations I already pointed out.
I don't think so. Rexy is basically a Tyrannosaurus with amphibious DNA. If anything, the latter would have shortened her life. Amphibious usually dead at 15 or so.
It might be modified to live longer.
"Rexy" can be in it, because the notion is awesome and the screenwriters say so. That's how. (Assuming it's really her. And I hope so.)
"Fran" was closer to 12 m than 11 m (11.5-11.8 m).
@JurassicWorld, that doesn't feature new species in Jurassic World.
If done correctly awsome if not its gona be horrible
Why do youg think it is awful?
One wrong step and their raptor chow.
I don't mind seeing the raptors working with a human, like lions would at a zoo.
What I want to see is the trainers treating the raptors horribly then the raptors gettheir revenge on them. Don't you think that would be awesome?
The changes are good, I got Carnotaurus, nuff said.
Well Rexy was not around 20 years old by the events of Jurassic Park ALPHADINO65, they didn't have the technology and had not produced animals as early as that, maybe she was given extra growth hormones but she was definitely only about 3 or maybe 4 years old leaving her at 25 or 26 by the events of Jurassic World
I'm with Silver falcon in thinking that Claire, when she is holding that flare is preparing to release the Tyrannosaur in the hopes of her destroying the abomination. If that does happen I think we can all prepare for what will probably be the most brutal, destructive and amazing showdowns in Jurassic Park history!
Well these raptors aren't good, they are trained to the same extent as maybe lions or tigers, they will kill Owen if he makes one wrong move. I think this relationship is really interesting and I love it!...I'm pretty sure they'll turn on him soon enough however, I predict we will be seeing some brutal dinosaur scraps before that though! Overall I think it's a fantastic new direction to go and I'm looking forward to it!
I'm so happy to see Rexy again! It's by far the best dinosaur in the whole franchise.
you are insinuating that the list on the website is the list of animals that are the only ones in teh park(with exception of raptors and the hybrid) when if you think about it... doesnt necessary mean thats all thats on display in the park... those are just animals they are willing to show us that are gonna be in the movie with the exception of the raptors and hybrid... there are probably more species, but we probably wont be seeing them either... they made a seperate list to show you animals besides the other two, that you are gonna see in the film... doesnt mean there are not other animals on display... think with your mind... is there a chance that not all of the animals in that pic are on display? possibly, but i bet there are animals on display that arent on the website list and are in that pic...
I just realized that both Baryonyx and Suchomimus are on that page. I was worried the Rex and D-rex would be the only carnavors featured in the park.
SHAMBS - What a fantastic find! It looks almost...deformed - as if the gentics didn't come together properly to form a uniquely whole animal. It might be that D-Rex is an "unrefined" genetic template that cost too much to create and therefore would represent a significant loss to Masrani were it to be destroyed, thus the company won't put it down despite the fact of it being malformed. I'm not confident that this is the case, but it could be! Regardless, thank you so much for sharing this with us! :)
Gojira, your last question should have been answered before, so I'll answer it now. No T.rex specimen has been found exceeding 28 years old, and that one particular specimen was Sue, who also happens to be the largest confirmed specimen.
Sue had many pathologies when she died. She had suffered multiple fractures and breaks throughout her life, and many scars. It has been determined that she also suffered from chronic arthritis in her joints (mainly in her legs I think), which is usually associated with old age because the cartilage in the joints breaks down from constant use. Therefore there is little lubrication between bones in the articulation, and the pain sets in due to friction.
Judging from Rexy's size during 1993, she would have had to be fully-grown, about 19 or 20 years old for an actual Tyrannosaurus. So if she's alive for the events of Jurassic World, she'd have to physiologically be about 40 years old.
However, because these creatures aren't pure dinosaur and we as a human race can manipulate genetics pretty easily, I bet her longevity could have been lengthened substantially.
Nice! Enjoyed it a lot!
No. She seemed gray with a little bit of brown in the end and gallimimus hunt.
Are you lot colour blind or summin hahaha
the first film the rex is a brown colour and in TLW and jp3 the rex is green.
U can see that clearly in the first movie by the end scene with the raptors AND. The gallimimus hunt!
U can CLEARLY. See the rex is green in the san diego sceens and at the end with hamonds "life will find a way" speech. As well as when the rex fights spino. Very obvious.
Now thats cleared up, how thats not obvious i dont know lol but il get to this quality pic. Its brilliaNt. she looks menacing and hardcore. Powerfull and agile and will look quality in the film. The cgi is excellent.
I can kinda see what ppl mean by the skinner look. But iv always thought that with all the cg models through the films. Maybe the practical effexts just look stockier! dunno.
But that is evolusionary piece of art :) and it looks agile and the battle scars make it even better.
In the book they did refer to Rexy as "he" despite her being a "her"...
I've been looking at pictures of her and, well, I can't decide if she's green or brown...
Rexy being green:

Rexy being brown:

^ That's a good idea, and Colin confirmed Rex would appear.
