I agree with @Alphadino65 and @x_paden_x here. However, the site's pictures for Stegosaurus and Gallimimus are pretty true to their designs. However, most of the dinosaurs on the website are pretty bland in color.
I sort of noticed this in the trailer, they better change the colors to be more colorful. The greyness makes them look not as majestic as I personally imagine dinosaurs.
Thanks for posting this, gives me more awareness of the blandness of the dinosaurs, hopefully they're gonna change the colors, afterall it should be easy to do since it's CGI.
The colours are indeed bland.
But keep in mind, One of the Glorius things about CGI Means that they can change the colour of the Dinosaur in the final cut, Giving it brighter and Better colours.
These are also all grey in colour... Which is bothersome because Unless they purposley did that, It means these are just Basic CG Models intended to satisfy the audience until further.
Although the Site is full of completely Inaccurate statistics...
I think that they're using a "It's a Fictional story" To by pass all real reason for them not having accurate things.
Quick investigation Reveals That this is a 32 Page book intended for Children with Cartoon like Material.
Expected to be Released In may.
In fact, the biggest problem on the JW site is the dinosaur size chart, with all their inaccurate scaling.
I think the Trike in the first movie was a sub-adult, that's why the colour's a bit different. Besides, look at the horns and frill ornaments in both images. The JP horns don't bend and the frill spikes are much sharper, while the JW horns are longer and bend, and the frill spikes are smaller and even a bit duller. Differences b/w age and sex? Almost certain!
The different colours and jaw horn sof the JP3 and JW ankylosaurs could be attributed to the same factors above, or the fact that they're from 2 different islands, probably being 2 different subspecies. Almost all of the JP3 ankylosaurs seen in the movie were born on Sorna, thus making the allele frequency for this hide colour scheme much higher.
Another thing to consider is that more of each dinosaur species' genetic code have been uncovered and incorporated into JW's animals. Claire even said in the trailer that within the last 10 years, more advances in genetics have been made than in 100 years of paleontology. Maybe she not only means that creating I.rex is quite possible, but that the JW dinos are more dinosaur than in JP?
^I was thinking the Metricanthosaurus wouldn't be in a section of the park with other small carnivores. (Maybe if Dilophosaurus makes it to the film as a park attraction, it'll be in the same area as Metricanthosaurus.)
(Please continue this!!!)
I really enjoyed this topic! Some of the things I didn't realize about the dinosaurs were stated here.
@Sci Fi King, I meant the same general area, not enclosure. ;)
So basically, it's what we already know. Although her wording, that BDH's character was watching the boys, seemed like a strange choice. I'm probably digging too deep, but hey.
I don't know how many times people are going to post the same stuff, but this isn't the second trailer, it's already been debunked as test footage for various trailers - notice the stock Raptor footage and the very rough Indominus CGI.
If we can stop calling this the second trailer and posting the same screenshots and videos, that'd be great. One thread on it is enough.
Wow, this is awesome! Thanks a lot for sharing this!
@Danielosaurus or anyone else who now has it plz send your love my way- greentigerne@yahoo.com
THANK YOU MR HAPPY!
SPINOSAURUS WINS
OTHER 2 DIE!
Was rooting 4 Spino
^Those are pretty good, but I'd say that the Metricanthosaurus would be in an area alone, as there's no other small carnivores confirmed (it should be like that if there's other smaller carnivores on display).
I'm assuming the Parasaurolophus and Edmontosaurus will be seen in the Gyrosphere and the Cretaceous Cruise.
Cool! :) Thanks for sharing this.
Definately gonna get the Ultra Dino Breakout.
I'd guess the Spinosaurs are all in their own little shared area. It would probably be called something along the lines of Spinosaur Stream. As for the Metriacanthosaurus, I'd say an area with all the other small carnivores on display.
Its not an allosaurus they are half of the size and only have three claws!
if anything it looks more carcharadontosaurus or giganotosaurus looking IMO
I heard it from a leak a while back, Sci Fi King.
Yeah, I see where you're coming from Allotitan. The arms are well-sized and the crests are in the right place, so I'm willing to bet that Horner and co looked at some allosaurs for inspiration. But she looks too weird to be an actual dinosaur, so the visual designers hit the nail on the head with her appearance.
kk lets get the facts
Spinosaurus was Spinosaurus
Oxalilia was Oxalilia
Spinosaurus bigger
Oxalilia Bipeadal?
That might actually be Spinosaurus!
^The snake is a Death adder? Interesting. Where'd wou get it from?
It's been confirmed that its a hybrid between T-Rex, Raptor, Cuttlefish, and Death Adder. It even says in the trailer its a hybrid. So it isn't an Allosaur, I'm afraid. Can't shoot ya for wishful thinking.
When I get the trailer thank you!
Sure Chris! Happy to help! and I'll be getting all the sets. :)
thx and btw, u dont have to wait for eocarcharia vs kelmayisaurus vs utahraptor. I don't post fights on a daily schedule, or any schedule for that matter, so if u can't find it, don't waste time
thats me on the left with the hat
trollll! in the dungeon! i just thaught you should no...*faints*
I will be getting that Ultra Dino Breakout set. I just hope that it has a cheaper price in dollars. If you convert it, it's $149.88!
I can tell how these toys may work.
Raptor toy- if you press the button on the side (its the bit that looks like its skin is torn) the arms will move (you can tell because the arms seem more detached then anything else in the picture. Theres a possibility that the mouth or legs move too, but I'm not 100% sure).
Dimorphodon toy- There is a button on its back that looks like the one on the Raptor toy. If you push this button the wings will move (I know this because the wings are quite obviously detached. Also, I have a toy made in 1990 of a Pterodactyl that worked in the same way).
