RAPTOR-401 - Oh, now this is a very neat topic! Hmm...I happen to think that the actual, genetically pure Dilophosaurus would win out against the Jurassic Park incarnation for one reason: adaptation. If the ability to spit toxic slime was in fact natural to the physiology of Dilophosaurus, then it would likely be immune to its effects. To support my theory, I will point to the King Cobra. This large reptile is also known for spitting venom into the eyes of foes - and it is completely immune to the effects of said venom from others of its kind. Therefore, I am inclined to believe that the genetically pure Dilophosaurus would win out against the fabricated version by virtue of sheer size and weight. This was a very neat topic; I look forward to more! :)

Well, I said 1895 Guide Gun, so I got the number right, just not the right variant. Not bad I'd say.

The scope looks to be a 2-7x32 or 3-9x32. Not sure what manufacturer or what model, but that's the magnification I believe it is. 

It all depends on the shooter. Some people find it better with the scope further ahead, others with it further back. 

Just figured I'd throw it out there in case anybody else was curious. Grady's rifle is a Marlin Model 1895 SBL (Stainless, Black Laminate). As said earlier it is chambered in .45-70, and a capacity of 6 rounds. I'm not sure on the scope (never have been good at ID'ing them). The only thing I was surprised about was that they had the scope mounted all the way to the back or the Weaver rail. I'd probably mount it a little closer to the front of the rail for a little faster target acquisition on the pull up.

I stopped when they cut the Rex's leg open with a chainsaw.

I noticed the Stegoceratops in the lab. It was supposed to be in the film, but Colin thought two hybrids would make the Indominus Rex less special.

I thought the other hybrid looked like the TLW Pachycephalosaurus.

My first thought was it was possibly a wink at the Di-Hu-Ogs from the earlier scripts.  But when I watched it the second time, I could see it definetly had some Pachycephalosaurus in it.  I'll have to wait for it to come out on digital copy so I can stop and crop in on it.

Yeah it was posted by **AL** a while ago, but it's okay, we all overlook something, I think I may have done it too in the past a couple of times.

It still is somewhat interesting, though.

It did have some educational merit, Although it wasn't quite done as well as it should've been done. For example, their premise was that it was kept in a bog or something, that's why it was so intact... But the thing looked straight out of the Paleontology books, Flesh 'n all. 

The Practical effects could've been a bit better, you could tell what part was specifically meant to be manipulated and the skin just didn't have a natural look to it.

It was fun and interesting regardless though. I think I enjoyed the Documentary from Montana where they had found a Duck billed dinosaur that had died in a bog encased in mud. That was good, I loved it.

No no no, I didn't read it that way at all. If anything, I find it great that you're self-concerned and respectful. Plus, you are a moderator. It's your job to be professional, it's what you got to do. Seriousness accommodates comprehension of indeterminable or fiat disscussion. I'm happy you've said that.  

Also, as a side note I just wanted to say that in now way am I bragging about my posts, if it seems like I am over-glorifying myself I apologize, I just like to take everything i post with seriousness, even my spoof posts.

I know, but by now and considering my moderator status I try to make sure everything I say is easily put through on the forum, I along with many others are very serious with the quality of my discussions and replies. Even in my spoof posts I make sure it is the highest standards from me, because I really do care of what people say of my work.

Haha typos are alright Raptor401, I'm sure we get what you were saying. And yeah, it really all just depends. Here's some nice ideas: 

Jp Spinosaurus vs R. Spinosaurus

Jp Raptors vs. R. Velo or utah or Drom

Jp Troodon (from Tall Tale) vs R. Troodon (alaskan or not)

Have some other fake creatures against real. Nothing too exaggerating though. 

And has the forum always been quiet lately? I haven't checked this website for the past few months because possible leaked spoilers. xD But I'm back, ready to learn and see what ya'll have each day. 

Also, mispells and mistakes I have noticed in the discussion have been edited to clear any confusion and to assure that ALL my topics will be more quality in the near future, even more so than the past.

Hm so so far we have "mixed" statements, but all well stated and argued. Thanks for commenting guys, I think iw ould go for a 50-50 or so chance with this.

I think if the JP Dilo were to squirt in the real DIlo eyes, it would have an easier time killin the real DIlo, however I imagine the real DIlo to have been fast and to have reliable instincts that would most likely be able to dodge the poison, considering how strong and light paleontologists say their feet were.

Not also to mention intelligence... I think the JP Dino would be smarter since the all the different DNA it has from modern-day dinosaurs (birds) and frogs would help increase its intelligence, while the real Dilo was much, MUCH more primitive and may have been "dumb" compared to JP Dilo.

I guess it all depends. Next time I think I will make a situation that is more descriptive so we can all make more solid arguments, but it is still interesting to read everyone's thoughts.

And holy crap have my replies evolved to be much more longer and full of "quality"...

JPCerato- I get what you mean, no one is truly evil (just corrupted or have their ideals ahead of them) and the innocent die also. Part of reality. We just feel sorry for Zara, not because she was a girl, but because it was the worst death in the movie. 

As for the Gif, I found it and pasted into my signature. Just rescale your gif. though if you do it, otherwise it becomes stretched. ;)

I predict that the next movie will be very similar to The Lost World.

I mean, it's the logical choice to go, with InGen returning to the island, rounding up dinosaurs and what's left of their research, trying to sell it to the highest bidder (probably the US military...) and somehow Starlord will end up in the middle of all this, and have to put a stop to it. Somehow.

Now as everyone else has said, I really want to see some of the other dinosaurs on the website appear, namely Suchomimus, Pachycephalosaurus, and Baryonix. I still don't know about Spino making an appearance though...

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the Stegoceratops makes an appearance, as it is confirmed to be movie canon.

It depends. However, it could be easer for JP Dilo to win. It could intimidate real Dilo and then spit at it. It could spit a couple times and then leap onto it and attack. However, assuming the Telltale game is canon, the JP Dilo was a juvenile, and probably could easily take down the real Dilo.

Hey, even some android devices can't even get it at all... :( 

I even tried tablet emulators...all of which could not play Jw the game...

The Jp dilo in the Tall Tale games had them working together but they were still small (or young probably? In jurassic world we got to see what looked like maybe an adult size of it? But it's still dwarfed by the real Dilo. 

So I'm just going to say the real Dilo. Can't really imagine a small lightweight theropod putting up a fight against something near 6 to 7 ft tall alone. The jp dilo's only chance is a direct hit. 

In a pack though Jp Dilo could win. 

It depends on how good the real dilo's senses were, and how much it would've relied on them.

The JP Dilo's spit is most effective when it gets in its prey's eyes, as it will blind them. I'd imagine it would probably burn if it hit certain other areas as well, but it would not be anywhere near as devastating.

If the real world had a good enough sense of hearing and/or smell though, this would almost totally negate the JP dilo's blinding toxin.

But the JP dilo has to hit its opponents eyes first though... so that being said, I have to go with the real Dilophosaurus.

I always felt the Jurassic Park franchise were on the level of the Avengers. :)
