@Something Real - Sorry for not formally responding to you! I agree with you, as such a successful film it's not surprising that Jurassic World has fallen under even greater criticism than most films these days. I'm glad that you haven't had to defend the film though! You must hang out with the right crowd. ;)
LOTS of Blue and Rexy shipping and fan art.
@SFK - that's interesting that you say, if I can paraphrase, that you don't like how Jurassic World blots out the original trilogy for modern moviegoers. That is a good point, many people have seen JW and not the first three. I will say, however, that the fact that JW had the biggest box office opening in history is truly a testament to the huge, loyal Jurassic fanbase. So yes, while a few people may overlook the originals, rest assured that the number of people who love and respect the originals is much, much greater.
401, we see TNT a few times in this story. They've already been run into a few times. We also see another Tyrannosaur of my creation and he dukes it out with Terrance in chapter 16.
SFK, I searched that and got a variety of results. Some were cool, some were funny, some were even cute. I don't know what happened with you though.
LORD VADER - That was a fantastic chapter! I am so very pleased that you returned to continue this wonderful story! Thank you so very much for taking the time to create this and share it with us! :)
I think this coming Sunday I'll make it. Anyone agree with the names or have anything that could be added? Which ever name gets pciked the most will be what it will be called.
This is my first time reading this, I haven't read any other chapters and let me just say I LOVE THIS! This is an awesome story! Please keep making more. Now I'll have to go back and read all the chapters in order :P.
Good chapter, I noticed how you referenced Terrance and Thorne.
And for the hybrids they sounded interesting, if you ever want advice on how to create names, you can ask what I do when it comes to naming an animal if you're interested.
@Sci-Fi King25
Dare I ask what JW Blue and Rexy is? Or can that not be said here o.O?
Alos thanks for the compliment!
Looking back I based this drawing off of the one you just showed me, Sci-Fi King. That is actually one of my favorite illustrations of dinosaurs.
The only things I hate about JW-
The original trilogy seems irrelevant to some percentage of people.
Now, the Internet's most cringeworthy thing-'
NEVER. EVER. Look up JW Blue and Rexy on Google Images (I needed it for a Jurassic World: The Game comparison and clicked on Blue and Rexy instead). I got a bunch of these things called "Jurassic Human World".
Anyway, I LOVED the film and some of the merchandice! :D
Neat! I wonder what new discoveries can be made from it.
Oh. I thought you ment the end and I was like "The end to what?". Anyway, I can't wait. :)
True. I enjoyed it, some didn't, whatever. It's inevitable, I don't let it bother me because, well, the opinion of others doesn't matter to me. I'll do what I want and like what I want. If you like it, cool, if you don't, I don't care. I've gotten pretty laid back over the course of the summer, which helps me in that sense.
I know what you mean with the cringe bit though, I get that occasionally depending on how bad they badmouth it, but I just say I thought it was great ano change the topic.
Interesting discovery, I like the illustration to this, makes the dinosaur appear a bit majestic.
Well I mean many paleontologists do say it would have looked like an odd bird, and Velociraptor came from an ancestor that branched off from birds, so I think it's okay I made it look like a bird, an odd one at that. :)
Thanks!
Very cool. Wonder what the scientific name equivalent of "Lightning Claw" is?
@Lord Vader - When I'm enthusiastic about a movie I can't help but cringe when others do not appreciate it. Call it over-obsessive devotion to the fandom :D
@Lopsquid - Okay, the design of the dinosaurs weren't to your liking; but I think it is cool that we have a totally new and unique plot that is setting up for a wider expansion out of the typical island theme park plot. But I won't harass you about your opinion anymore; to each his own. :)
Cool. It kinda looks like a T Rex and allosaurus hybrid.
This is very good! I do agree it kinda looks like a bird but it's looks like a velociraptor archeopteryx hybrid. I like it, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the advice, the reason why he looks like a bird is because it's said Velociraptors would have looked liek odd birds so thats how I tried to draw this raptor. There's not much brackground as I felt I would ruin it haha.
Thanks for the compliments!
^
Raptoars are bird.
BUt anyway nice!
The artwork is really, very nice.
The background could use some work honestly, but the Raptor himself is relatively awesome- It really is. Maybe some more detail on the feathers, killer claw, and head a bit. He does look maybe a little too much like a bird, I'm getting a scavenging pigeon a bit with his enlarged tail but nonetheless, good work!
Each to their own. I enjoyed it, the next guy may not. Everyone's different, I kinda just shrug it off. Who cares? It's a movie.
@Dinosaur.fanatic2.0 First, the indominus was just kind of ridiculous i mean why would you even make that? and hoskins wanting smaller versions of the indominus to use in war I mean just WHY? and the Mosasaurus was just conveniently floating there waiting for the indominus with it's blue whale size and bulk.
@Therizinosaurus rex
well the raptor were just big lizards in Jurasssic world, in jurassic park 3 they had round pupils they had more accurate heads and They had bird skin and quills but Jw just got rid of all of it.
I'm excited to see what The End is, I hope you have something very cool instore!
@Lopsquid - I would argue that the different plot style from JP and TLW (and arguably JPIII) is because the first three movies were basically science horror films, while JW was an action movie. I think judging by it's genre JW was really a very entertaining and appealing film. Also considering this was Colin Trevorrow's second movie directed and the first Jurassic installment in over a decade, I was able to overlook some minor nitpicky details. What exactly about the plot bugged you?
@LOPSQuid
What is wrong with Raptors with scales?
I think Inostrancevia had stronger jaws and was faster than Andrewsarchus. Yeah, it was 4 m long and Andrewsarchus was 5 m but...I don't think Andrewsarchus could have a chance
Something Real -I won't disappoint!
VirtualVel -I feel like waiting builds anticipation!
While I was not here when you were here, welcome back!
To answer your question, no I have not had to defend this movie and I probably won't. Everyong has the right to speak their opinion and it's ok if they don't agree with somethings. There are some people out there that don't like dinosaurs (scary I know, lol) but people like what they like. As long as I saw a movie and I liked it, I'm a happy velociraptor :3.
The week just started and you're going to make us wait till the end of the week for The End?! Classic, I like it! You should seriously take all the fights you've made, put it into one big book and sell it :P.
DINOSAUR.FANATIC2.0 - It is very good to have you back! I look forward to your presence once more! As for your question: I have not had to defend Jurassic World in any capacity; everyone with whom I have shared conversations concerning the film enjoyed it to one degree or another. I feel that Jurassic World receives some of its ill-deserved criticism because it has done so very well - much like James Cameron's Avatar. For some reason, it seems that there are individuals within the world whom attempt to drag ideas and individuals down for the fact that they are successful. It is unpleasant, to say the least. However, Jurassic World's record-holding numbers are the most telling statistic! There is really no need to defend a film that has swept aside the competition with one swipe of its clawed hand! :)
GORILLAGODZillA - Oh, how neat! This is a very interesting premise that you have presented - and I am certainly looking forward to seeing how it turns out! DAIKAIJU DANIELLE's art, as always, is quite fantastic! I am quite pleased by this presentation! :)
Personally I didn't like Jw that much in comparison to Tlw or even jurassic park 3.
I was dissapointed with the raptors being even more scaly than they were before and how thay were hopping around like crows even thogh they were 6ft tall and the indominus was just boring it just looked like a standard large theropod and the plot was just....It went beyond the realms of actually happening and it just seemed like one big cheesy monster popcorn movie!
5.5/10.
I only had to defend the movie once. The guy I was talking to said that it was just dinosaurs running around eating everything in sight, AGAIN! But the worst part was when he said that anyone and everyone involved with Jurassic was an idiot for thinking that it's cool.
This isn't world politics buddy, it's a movie.
I really liked it. Maybe its cause I am bias. Or how excited I was about the movie. I don't know.
