If the Dilo in JP is not a juvenile, then it's even more inaccurate than I thought. Either way, this is Hollywood we're talking about. If they want to give a juvenile adult characteristics, frankly, they can do that. Is it right or accurate? No. Does it bring in money? Yes. And in the end, that's what they want.

If it could break out, it would have broken out and fought the Rex with the Big One and the other raptor. If it did not escape, it would need more than warm blood and meat to survive. Water is important and that meat would run out eventually, especially after over 20 years.
ReplyDanlophosaurusJurassic World ForumWhat are your thoughts on Colin's New ScriptSep 22, 2013
I agree - the raptor would break out bc everyone knows "life uh uh uh uh finds a way".
ReplyDeltadromeusJurassic World ForumWhat are your thoughts on Colin's New ScriptSep 22, 2013
I would understand that it would live. After all, its warm blooded, and there is meat in the freezer
ReplyLord VaderJurassic World ForumWhat are your thoughts on Colin's New ScriptSep 22, 2013
Perhaps the Raptor survived until the power went out, and then managed to break the lock and escaped. That's my best guess.

The raptors are smart enough to use human tech, or at least will be in a few years. Right now they are learning how to use a tracking devi......... Oh no, I wasn't supposed to say that. Uh, uh, forget what I just said

A crest/frill/spitable venom would accually be best on a young Dilo.
1. It serves as a deterrent to bigger dinosaurs who want to eat it while mom and dad aren't around
2. It can confuse prey which makes it easier to catch for the young and inexperienced.

I know, but they're smart. Maybe she found another way to escape. :)

ReplyJhawkins1987Jurassic Park Games ForumDilophosaurus~Do the Games Mess it Up?Sep 22, 2013
It deffinatley isnt a yound dilo !!!
It has a display crest ! Any animal in past or present would only have one for a particular reason which could be to make them selves bigger to fight for teritory or to attract a mate meaning mature adult !
So in my view in the film it was adult.
But there is a dilo skull specimin in NYC museum of natural history which is surprisingly bigger than i thought it was . Id say judging by the measurments it could prob reach 20ft thats not OTT

Ya, but the door was locked.
ReplyDinoSteve93Jurassic World ForumWhat are your thoughts on Colin's New ScriptSep 22, 2013
I hope that too, even if I don't think they'll show it in JW. But I think she escaped, because -They open doors...-

I want to know what happened to the raptor in the freezer?! Did it get out? Did it die? I hope they show it in jp4

Call it what you wish, I still think its an Allosaur.

Personally, a new park with a dino escape to the mainland would be cool. The delay was due to Colin's rewriting of the script to be more "epic and ambitious" than the original. A mainland sequence would make sense as the part that makes the movie more epic. As for the characters, only bring back Grant and maybe Tim or Lex, with just cameos of some other older characters. Give us mostly new characters, since this is supposed to be a fresh start for the franchise. I'm writing a script with similar ideas, but it won't be finished for a while.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm pretty neutral when it comes to the plot. I just wanna see the dinosaurs as the animals they were. Not the Hollywood monsters they've become.

I think returning to Nublar will have a lot of memories just for being Nublar. I'd love to see Rexy (or at least her skeleton) at some point in the movie. Maybe the Velociraptor skeletons in the visitor centre (and freezer), and perhaps Muldoon's skeleton.

I'm not saying anything about the plot until I'll get some information.
Yes, of course it would be nice if they make a reference from the previous films.
Personally, I like the leaked plot running on the internet about the functional park, even if I don't like the tamed dinos at all. But, if Trevorrow had denied the plot, as I said, I will wait for more informations.

Proceratosaurus is another good example. It was named Proceratosaurus because people thought it was a ceratosaur. But Proceratosaurus, along with Dryptosaurus, do represent primitive tyrannosaurs.
Dryptosaurus

Take proceratosaurus bradleyi for example. Initially, when I saw it the first time, I thought it was a ceratosaur. Buuuut, it turned out it was a tyrannosaur. The horns and the three-fingered hands confused me.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumList of Competitors for Sep 22, 2013
The traits of the tyrannosaurs go much deeper than just the arms. Yutyrannus and Guanlong for example have long, three fingered arms and hands like Dryptosaurus. One thing all tyrannosaurs have is a D shaped cross section in their teeth.

I can't find a pic but the end scene of JP 2 when Hammond says "life will find a way" and the stegosaurus tyrannosaurus and pteradactyl are shown living peacefully together
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumList of Competitors for Sep 22, 2013
He certainly seems like an allosaur

All tyrannosaurs are cool. My favorites are Tyrannosaurus, Daspletosaurus and Albertosaurus.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumList of Competitors for Sep 22, 2013
That's fine. It looks pretty Allosaur to me too.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumList of Competitors for Sep 22, 2013
They are. I really like Dryptosaurus, but I consider him an allosaur

Spino vs rex vs Giganotosaurus would be cool though. A three way battle of the largest theropods what could be better.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumList of Competitors for Sep 22, 2013
Mine are Nano, Siamo, and Daspletosaurus

I like Tyrannosaurs in general, and my top three are Rex, Albertosaurus, and Tarbosaurus.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumList of Competitors for Sep 22, 2013
Perfectly understandable. I used to really like Albertosaurus, and I still do.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumList of Competitors for Sep 22, 2013

Yea, Albertosaurus is just my favorite dino out of your list. :P
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumList of Competitors for Sep 22, 2013
That's fine with me. I'm also rooting for Yutyrannus and Ceratosaurus, but Albertosaurus is my first.

Rex vs Spinosaurus is old. If you want to see pretty much any of our opinions, just refer to previous discussions. New people always starting a new Rex vs Spinosaurus discussion or bringing it up in an unrelated topic kinda annoyed me, so I edited my forum signature a little.
This discussion has loads of cool pictures in it.

Looking forward! I'm rooting for Utahraptor, Ceratosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus and Albertosaurus!
