Chapter 8: Peace, At Last
Earth layed on the ground, burned and broken. He looked down into the fissure, gasping for breath. He struggled to stand, but fell down. But the alpha-Mapusaurus wouldn't give up, no. He struggled to his feet, but this time Gaia helped him up. A few yards away was Tyria, who also looked into the ravine. They then heard the roar of the Tyrant Lord, and they weakly chirped in joy.
In the ravine, Tyrance stood over the body of his nemesis. He turned to Egypt, and the two beasts turned to leave, Tyrance in front. But then, he heard a scream of pain--Ultimus Dominum had grabbed his tail and was pulling him towards himself. The Tyrant Lord had enough, he rammed him with his large skull, but Ultimus kept his grip on the Spined Lord.
He then grabbed a spear-like rock and rammed it into Tyrance, slicing his side. Dominum clawed him, cutting his already scarred hide. The Tyrant Lord was taken aback, as Ultimus bloodied him with his claws and the rugged rocks on the wall of the ravine. He fell to the ground when he took a direct hit to the face from the Ultimate Lord's thagomiser. Dominum grinned in pleasure as he tightened his grip on Egypt's throat.
Tyrance's vision was blurry, but he could make out the sight of Dominum brutally murdering the Spined Lord. No, he would not fail, as he did 65 million years ago! The Tyrant Lord found the strength to stand up, despite feeling severe pain. He rammed Dominum straight in the chest, making him drop Egypt.
Tyrance clamped onto his neck, smashing him through many rocky blockades, sending both of them into unbearable pain. He knew this was the end, but with each blockade he smashed Dominum threw, he saw a different figure in his mind. First, Earth--the alpha-Mapusaurus. Then, his sister Tyrana, soon followed by Tyranno. Next, the Spined Lord, Egypt. It was a horrible sight as Ultimus Dominum unleashed his last resort--another blast of fire, more powerful and intense than any of his previous flames. Tyrance increased his bite force, as it shot up from 20,000 to 50,000 pounds instantaneously. He wouldn't give up, no, he wouldn't fail. Tyrance threw him through one final blockade, as an image of Tyria appeared in his head. Ultimus broke a spear-like rock off the ravine wall, and tried to swing it at Tyrance.
He dodged every strike despite the immense pain due to his injuries, and caught the spear in his jaws, shoving it through Dominum's ribs, pinning him to the wall. The Tyrant Lord walked in menacingly to finish him. Ultimus let out a weak moan, but had one last trick. His body glowed like melted metal, and he expelled fire once more, directing it at Tyrance, then at the ravine wall.
Tyria and Earth moved away from the crumbling cliff as rocks poured into the fissure. The rocks rained around the three lords, as Tyrance and Egypt backed away. Ultimus Dominum cackled maniacally, increasing the intensity of his fire. The cliffside began to collapse, as Tyrance and Egypt fled. The two lords clambered up the steep ravine wall, which was at a steep angle. They ran into a rock wall, ramming it with their large bodies--they broke through, to see the Legion of the Tyrant Lord, with Tyria in front.
As the ravine slowly collapsed, the great army took one last look at the corpse of Giganoctus--he had redeemed himself before death. They hung their heads, showing honour, before the body fell into the ravine, lost to history.
The cliffside was crumbling faster now, and they all fled, heading for one location--the centre of Isla Nublar. Ultimus Dominum remained, letting out a weak moan of failure as the ravine fell on him--including the remains of his ancestors. But, he had one, final trick up his sleeve--his body temperature shot up, as he began to glow brightly, his innards melting from the heat!
A loud explosion was heard, and the ravine continued to deteriorate even faster, as the Tyrant Lord fled, leading his legion. All of them were injured and exhausted, but refused to give up--their wills indestructible.
The severely injured Earth led his three to a clearing in the forest. The alpha-Mapusaurus lied down to rest, watching over his pack. At last, he had succeeded--he had saved them. Gaia walked over to him, and they nudged, resting next to each other, watching the beta and the omega.
Next, Eagle led his mate, Hawk, and the omega, Falcon, to a fallen log within the island. Blue sadly followed, hanging her head low. Eagle approached her, showing remorse for treating her badly. He accepted her into the pack--and so she reclaimed her old name, Claw. She was nudged by the other three Dakotaraptors.
Egypt met up with Blossom, Fang, and Venus, approaching his son. The father chirped lowly, telling him how proud he was of what he had become. He then sadly let Fang go, watching him walk away with Venus. Blossom walked to her mate, and the two nudged as they watched their son walk off into the distance.
Egypt was then approached by Tyrance, who was filled with sorrow that he had failed to save him 65 million years earlier. The Spined Lord cooed that it was okay--he had saved him here. They had arrived at the foot of a mountain, where there was a swamp. The Spined Lord and his mate resided here.
The Tyrant Lord turned to the Tyrant Thunderstorm, nodding to his ally. Thunderstorm and Earthquake nodded to Tyrance and Tyria, as they clambered up to the summit of the mountain. When they reached the top, there was an elevated perch at the edge--seemingly made for the destined Tyrant Lord. Tyrance stood up and epicly strode to his throne--each step he took shook the Earth itself under his feet. He reached the perch, and looked into the sun, seeing the images of his family--Tyrana, Tyranno, Tyranoa, and Tyranak.
Then, he gazed down at his kingdom, and down the steps to his throne--The beta and omega Mapusaurs, Gaia, Earth, Falcon, Hawk, Eagle, Claw, Venus, Fang, Blossom, Earthquake, Thunderstorm, Tyria, and Egypt were all looking up at their lord and saviour. The Tyrant Lord opened his jaws--a roar, unlike any sound heard before, shook the planet itself, sending shivers down the spine of every dinosaur on Isla Nublar as they bowed before their lord and showed honour with their own roars. Still, the roar of Tyrance, the Tyrant Lord, drowned out every other sound on the island. He closed his maw as his kingdom bowed their heads. All hail, the Tyrant Lord.
