It does, though i get where you're coming from. The neck is a popular target in interspecific and intraspecific conflict, as it is one of the fasted ways to kill a rival with a quick bite to the neck.
Tyrannosaurus had a tremendous bite force, where as if it got its jaws around the neck of another animal, a quick flexing of the jaws would spell the end out for that animal.
Giganotosaurus on the other hand, wouldl need to shred the skin and get through any major life sustaining structures in order to kill an animal. My working hypothesis is the Carcharodontosaurids shook their heads back and forth violently, as the great white shark and various other shark species do when dealing with prey. Their teeth cut through fat and skin, and they back off waiting for the animal to die from shock and blood loss. That being said, it would take Giga longer to kill rex with a bite to the neck, then it would take rex to kill giga.
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.
Why it had a decent bite of its own and those sharp big teeth that would cut throug even the thick skin of a Dino switch some shaking and kill rex
i explained it in the post above.
