Clash of Similarities Day 1: Allosaurus fragilis vs Yangchuanosaurus magnus

Welcome to day 1 of Clash of Similarities. It stars two Allosaurs, as you know. Now lets meat the contestants. It was a late Jurassic carnivore from North America. It had long, powerful arms with three fingers holding 5 inch claws. Allosaurus fragilis is 35 feet long, 14 feet tall and 3.5-4 tons. Allosaurus amplexus is 38 feet long, 16 feet tall, and 5 tons, but it is not sure wether A. amplexus is a species of Allosaurus, of a different dinosaur all together. It is known to hunt in packs, which let it take down huge sauropods like Camarosaurus or Brachiosaurus. With long arms and powerful claws. Not normally acknowledged about this dinosaur is that it has four fingers instead of three. Y. magnus was 35 feet long, 13 feet tall, and 4-5 tons. Y. shangyouensis was only 33 feet long, 12 feet tall, and 3-3.5 tons. This dinosaur also hunts in packs so it can take down large sauropods like Mamachisaurus. There is also the smaller sauropod Shunosaurus, who is on the single Yangchuanosaurus menu. Fight!! A cry echoes through the woods. An teenager Allosaurus named Al has just killed an adult Stegosaurus with one powerful bite to the neck. The smell of the Stegosaur had attracted the attention of an adolescent Yangchuanosaurus named Chen. Chen hears the cry of the Stegosaurus as it dies and gets angry because he was going to kill and eat it. He runs over to where the sound came from to see Al eating the carcass of the Stegosaurus. Chen roars at Al, who roars back, not going to give up his large meal. Al and Chen are about the same age and size, and they know that if one of them makes a wrong move or misstep, the other will kill him. They start off with mock charges, not getting to close to the other one. Finally, Al makes a real charge and slashes his long hand claws across Chen's snout, creating deep gashes. Chen back up while roaring in pain. He sees Al make some distance between them. This doesn't stop Chen from running in and slashing at Al's chest with his claws. Al runs back, and roars at Chen, partially because if his pain, partially because he want to scare Chen away. They aren't trying to kill each other, just scare them away, but will kill if necessary. Al runs in and hits Chen right in the chest with his body, but Chen fights back, and it becomes a pushing war. Finally, since nether can over power the other, they both back up. Al runs in again and tackles Chen, and they start rolling and rolling while they fight. They keep fighting on the ground, clawing and kicking at each other, they keep rolling until they reach a river and plummet right into it. The river is moving very fast, and quickly separates the two Allosaurs. Al washes up on shore at a bend in the river, but Chen is already far away, carried by the river until he to gets washes up on the shore. Many years later Chen is an old and experienced veteran fighter, he has many battle scars from the countless times he fought in his life, but he still remembers the incident with Al. He is on the hunt, and quickly finds a Shunosaurus, his favorite meal. He kills the small sauropod quickly by jumping up onto its back and biting its neck, severing the jugular. When the Shunosaurus fall, it creates a loud boom. So loud it could be herd for miles. This attracts the attention of Al, who is in the area, and he is hungry. Also an experienced veteran, Al has no trouble finding the carcass. He walks over to where it is and is about to roar when he sees who made the kill, Chen. The two recognize each other immediately, and they forget the formalities of roaring, and run strait in for a battle to the death. They collide, chest to chest, neck to neck, arm to arm, and it becomes another pushing contest. Chen gets the advantage and pushes Al back, then pushes him over. Now Al is on the ground, and Chen is going to bite his neck, so Al lashes out with his leg and sends his toe claws deep into Chen. The force of the impact alone knocks Chen to the ground, but he and Al quickly get up. Al goes in and bites Chen's snout, but Chen starts hacking away at Al's neck with his long and powerful hand claws. Al lets go, and Chen goes in to bite Al's neck, but Al uses his head like a bat and hits Chen 's head with his. It doesn't do anything but stop Chen's attack. Chen and Al face each other, not even blinking. They then start circling, not taking their eyes off the other even for a second. Then Al charges Chen. He gets within reaching distance, but Chen doesn't budge, knowing very well that that was a mock charge. Al back up very quickly, and they return to circling. Then Chen lowers his head and runs at Al, going to headbutt him. Al doesn't even flinch, seeing just what he expected. Chen put his foot down at the last second and stopped the charge. Chen returns to his previous spot and they resume circling. Now, they run right at each other, and when they collide, they go to one side and crash to the ground. Not going to stop fighting, Al gets up, only to be tackled by Chen. They roll around on the forest floor, clawing, kicking, and biting. Chen gets his back on the ground and Al on top of him, and he throws Al off using his powerful legs. Al flys very far, and lands with a thud. He has broken many bones, but Al is not about to stop fighting. Chen gets up, and gets rammed in the side by Al, breaking many ribs. Chen roars in pain, and sees Al coming in for another headbutt. Chen swings his body to one side, gathering momentum. Then he swings his body the other way very quickly, and hits the oncoming Al with his tail. Al is sent flying until he hits a nearby tree. This lets his legs stay on the ground, and keep him standing up. Al has many broken bones and has lost lost of blood, but he keeps going. He has one last hope to win, and he musters up all his strength to do it. He runs at top speed over to Chen's side, and jumps onto him. The combined weight of himself and Al send Chen crashing to the ground, and he breaks most of his bones. Al stands up and gets of of Chen. Chen put his arms on the ground and pushes himself up. Both Al and Chen are very badly beaten, and are heavily bleeding. They run at each other, and they both go for the other's neck. Al snaps his jaws at Chen, but Chen manages to get out of the way and in the perfect position to bite Al's neck. Chen gets his jaws around Al and shakes his head, driving his long teeth deeper and deeper into Al's neck. With one last great effort, Chen sends his teeth into Al's neck and severs all arteries, the Trachea, and gets to cutting the spinal cord. Chen lets Al fall to the ground, dead, and he gives a triumphant roar. Telling everything that he killed the mighty Allosaurus. Chen the Yangchuanosaurus wins!! The battle was really a flip of a coin, but the Yangchuanosaurus was slightly heavier than Allosaurus, a d a bit more heavily built. Next on Clash of Similarities. The largest Allosaur, and one of the largest theropods, Giganotosaurus was the most feared animal in Argentina. It was the killer of giants, but not the only one. Mapusaurus a nightmare for all, but what happens when he meets his cousin in a battle to the death? Only on... Clash of Similarities!
