T-Rex an herbivore?

A lone Triceratops wanders through the forests of the late Cretaceous, grazing for shrubbery. He looks up as a sudden shake of massive footsteps echoes through the woods. It is a Tyrannosaurus Rex, lumbering towards Triceratops. But then, Rex stops at a tall tree full of large, flat leaves. He closes his massive jaws around one branch and slides his head down it, his teeth catching leaves to eat. The Triceratops turns his back and continues grazing, unthreatened, as the Rex gorges itself on its leafy snack. NO. Just, no. How did that segment strike everybody? An aquaintance of mine read an article that states that, because of T-Rex's "weak teeth, useless arms, and ill-proportioned, stubby legs," it was a herbivore. Furthermore, the article stated that most, if not all specimins of T-Rex found have had green on their teeth. This article had my aquaintance convinced that T-Rex was in fact an herbivore. Can you believe this???!!! Obviously, I don't buy any of this, and I wanted to open up this thread to see just what kind of reactions this article brings about. Please, everyone, Team Rex or not, defend the Tyrant King from this blasphemy!

Long hair, tye-dye shirt, ripped jeans, smell bad, and don't forget the weed. Or just show up with a Ram 6500 V10 T-Rex 6X6, and scare them off.

T-Rex a herbivore? lol that's a good one, NOT *makes a T-Rex eat the guy who wrote that theory.* I'm pretty sure it was just a joke though otherwise that guy really is an idiot and has never seen a dinosaur in his entire life.

Leuitenant 9097, send all dinosaurs into battle. Give the troodon the best cars with machine guns you can get. Lets get a couple RPGs in there to. Just for good measure.

We're talking about Hippies here. All you have to do is give them some bad weed or something..... Actually, take em all out. Lets just call in the B52 Stratofortress.

I like how this disscusion has 2 points of view... the legit view with facts.... and the WTF view where were talking about..... uh what was the question again ALSO... hippies drugs have had some bug spray "accidentaly" spilled into it.... (dude we put so much bug spray in it, when they die they think theyre still high....)

Life cannot be contained, it breaks walls, crashes through barriers sometimes painfully, but uh... Life uh, finds a way

I have an analogy. This site was first made by someone who wanted to share the news that he learned about jp4. Fans started to come, and it became a jp4 fan site. Then we dino freaks came, and it became a dino site. Then someone talked about cars, and then guns, and now it is hippies must die site. What's next, Llamas wearing sneakers while eating bacon?

You people are wacked out. :) Apparently the author of the article is some well-known thinker who's off his nut. I mean there is PROOF of carnivorism in ALL therapods, especially T-Rex, and people just go and deny. Jack horner is one of them.

Maybe your friend read a journalist's misinterpretation of the of the herbivorous Therizinosaur article, who thought that since it mentions Theropods, which includes T-rex, that must mean it was an herbivore or that the paper was prood of T-rex being an herbivore? A lot of those traits sound like a Therizinosaur, besides the useless arms, and the legs aren't THAT stubby. Also "most, if not all Tyrannosaurus have been found with green on their teeth"? WHAT KIND OF LOGIC IS THAT?!! If it were fossilized plant material, it wouldn't be green anymore! Not to mention everything else mentioned here proving Rex was a carnivore. Maybe that green stuff was the weed that the hippie who wrote this article was carrying that "fell" onto the T-rex's teeth......

If people weren't lazy, we wouldn't try to be efficient. If we weren't efficient, we'd never get anything done.
