Australovenator- 16 ft long, 1,500 lbs
This carnivore was pretty fast. Probably could hit 30 miles per hour. It had sharp teeth, but it's main weapon would have been it's 6-8 inch hand claws. This dinosaur certainly earned it's name as the southern hunter.

Muttaburrasaurus-23 ft long, 1.5 tons
This herbivore was not especially fast. On it's back legs, it probably could not run more than 15 miles per hour. But they did not need speed. Like other iguanodonts, this dinosaur had a large thumb-spike for defense.

Fight-
A large Muttaburrasaurus is walking out of a forest to a lake to drink. It's early morning and the air is nice and cool. But the peace will not last. Without warning, a trio of Australovenators charge out of the forest. One faces the Mutta head on while the other two leap at it's side. They use their long claws to hold onto it's flanks while they bite at it's shoulders and back. The pack is made up of an alpha male, alpha female, and their adult son. The son is the one facing the Mutta head on. The iguanodont tries to shake off it's attackers. It succeeds in throwing the female off but the male continues the attack. The Mutta tries a new strategy. It starts to run. It may not be fast, but it's fast enough to make the male Austro lose balance and fall off. As the Mutta turns around to face the alphas, their son attacks. It bites the Mutta on the back of the leg. However, it foolishly hangs on instead of leaping back. The Mutta takes advantage of the Austro's inexperience and stabs it in the head, right behind the temple. It strikes with so much force, that the thumb-spike breaks and leaves the tip embedded in the predator's head. Now, all hell will break lose. Fueled by raging levels of adrenaline, the begin a full on assault. The female slashes the Mutta's flanks with her teeth while the male strikes at it's face with his claws. He succeeds in taking out one of the Mutta's eyes. The herbivore is panicking now. He begins to spin wildly in circles. The male delivers the killing blow. His large claws sever a major vein in the Mutta's throat. All of it's life blood pours out on the ground. The alphas shriek in victory. They turn their attention to their son. He lies motionless on the ground. The mourn his loss by growling softly. They won, but at a price.
Winner- Australovenator

The Mutta had no chance. While it was bigger and had a wicked thumb-spike, it was simply outgunned and outnumbered. It was truly over when it killed the young Austro. This caused it's parents to unleash everything they had.
