Top 10 Strangest Dinosaurs 10. Tyrannosaurus rex- 50 ft long, 9 tons Over-sized head, huge body, tiny arms with only 2 fingers 9. Parasaurolophus- 33 ft long, 3 tons Huge 6 foot crest and duck like bill 8. Ceratosaurus- 25 ft long, 2 tons 4 fingered hands and 3 blade-like horns with massive overbite 7. Triceratops- 26 ft long, 5-6 tons Giant frill with 3 massive horns 6. Stegosaurus- 23 ft long, 2.5 tons Tiny head, short front legs with long back legs, spiked tail, and 17 thin plates on it's back 5. Dilophosaurus- 23 ft long, 1 ton Notched jaw and 2 thin crests 4. Guan long-10 ft long, 150 lbs Long arms and 3 fingers are strange for a tyrannnosaur. It also had a covering of feathers and a single crest on it's head 3. Spinosaurus- 56 ft long, 7 tons Unusually long arms and claws, long yet thin jaws, and giant 6 foot sail 2. Majungatholus- 25 ft long, 1.5 tons Tiny arms and ugliest face of all the dinosaurs. Often called the ugliest dinosaur ever by some, it is also often referred to as The T-rex Of The East. 1. Therizinosaurus- 36 ft long, 4 tons Long neck and tiny head, pot-belly, and 10 foot arms with 3 foot claws Sizes are based of my estimates. They are not that important to the post, just a good bit of info to have. Questions? Comments?

Those are some odd dinosaurs for sure. When you think about it, T-Rex was huge, then it's arms were tiny. The funny thing is, T-Rex's arms were about 5 times stronger than a man's.

Yeah, they were the same length's as a man, but could lift some 450 pounds. T-rex and some others in the list may not seem strange at first, but then you take a closer look.

why didnt you include carnotaurus?

Lord Vader

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJun-07-2013 3:10 PM
Maybe he forgot about it. Maybe he figured that Ceratosaurus and Majungasaurus (had to resist calling it Majungatholus) were close to Carnotaurus, and decided to not include it. You should get an answer next time he is online. That is one thing I really like about him is that he replies to your questions.

Majungatholus is very similar to Carnotaurus. In fact, it's even stranger. Ceratosaurus is also pretty similar.

Yeah, basically. Spino fans probably like that Spinosaurus in the top 3 here, lol

Yeah really. Depends on how you look at it to. If you say weird, some might get all defensive about it, but say unique, then the same group would get mad that T-Rex made the list.

They are all unique. It's just some are more unique and bizarre than others. There's no denying the fact that Spino was a little strange. So was Rex though. They are all just so different.

I know. I'm just saying, some people are like that. I haven't seen anyone like that on this sight (except maybe Star Killer, who's total online time of five minutes and six posts were all hating on T-Rex). I doubt there are any people like that who check regularly.

i know where you are coming from mr happy, i was really used to calling majungasaurus majungaTHOLIS (caps to italisize) before they changed it to majungasaurus. And i think carnotaurus was more unusual than ceratosaurus because ceratosaurus had a horn on its nose as well as 2 above its eyebrows. Carnotaurus had only 2 above its eye brows, but they were bigger and thicker than ceratosaurus's. On top of that, carnotaurus had the shortest arms in comparison to body size, and didnt also have bone bumps all over its body?

I agree that Carnotaurus was more bizarre than Ceratosaurus. Rex Fan did say that Ceratosaurus, Carnotaurus, and Majungasaurus where similar (which they were). It is possible that Carno had bone bumps, but without a skin impression, we may never know (might not know, time travel could be discovered, hopefully not abused, because changing the past could screw up the future, for better or for worse). I don't know why he didn't put Carno in here though. Personally, I would replace T-Rex with Carno just because almost all Tyrannosaurs are like that (big head, big body, tiny arms, it has nothing to do with anything else)

I put Tyrannosaurus in because it really is a little bizarre. It's head is even bigger overall then other tyrannosaurs. Carnotaurus is too close to Majungatholus and I think Majungatholus was even stranger.

i got mine from the first jurassic park, John Hammond says it 4 times throughout the movie. And knowing me Rex Fan, im sorry but in my opinion i would disagree with what the quote is portraying, but if it meant what i would like it to be, yes i do like it, lol

Besides Majungatholus, Ceratosaurus, and then the debate about Carnotaurus, what do ya'll think of the top 10?

i think its preety good and accurate, and yes i would put spinosaurus in the top three as well, but in this one i would put spinosaurus in second instead of majungasaurus because i think that the sail, 8 ft long head, and unusually long arms makes it preety bizzare.

Rex Fan 684

MemberCompsognathusJun-07-2013 4:03 PM
Oh it was, don't get me wrong. Based off my estimations, Spinos head was 6 feet. That's just something you and I have a different opinion about though, like the size and fighting ability. Glad to see you guys like the top 10 overall though.

i agree that Therizinosaurus was the more bizarre because it was the tallest therepod, had really long arms, and its claws were really long and sharp, 4 ft long.

Yeah, I forgot to include it likely had feathers. Can you imagine a creature like that? Guess it existed, haha

To me, i would think dinosaurs would look preety stupid with feathers, but there is some evidence of some dinosaurs having feathers.

This includes the tyrannosaurs.

Yeah. I feel like maybe Yutyrannus needs a spot here. There are some things I may have changed, but overall I like it.

This is a good top 10. I figured Rex Fan's Quote had something to do with Rex. A feathered Rex would look so funny. If I saw one in a zoo, I would probably think they did something to a chicken to make it grow huge and look like a dinosaur. The raptors are ok with a few feathers though. T-Rex's head was about 6 feet long, so I am leaning closer to S-Rex's head size idea. Because Spino's head is shaped like a crocodile's it may have equal bite force, but for all we know, since that's the case, the muscles for opening the jaws could be extremely weak like crocodiles (just a suggestion).

Yes, well, as we all know, I am one who believes Spino is smaller than most think. That's a whole other discussion though.
