It also wasn't on the list of confirmed dinosaurs returning to the movie. I think it's the shadow of D-Rex. Too big for Velociraptor and wrong shape for T.rex. Probably a combo of the two, aka, D-Rex.

Spino wasn't on the hybrid species list, but I guess they could've added it.

(My concept design is finished, gonna post it later today)

Glad you guys liked it.

UCMP, I think it could be too. Perhaps Mapusaurus would be better for the number 6 spot and Triceratops should be number 4. Glad you liked it overall though.

I think that Triceratops should be a lot higher on this list, but otherwise I definitely agree.

Nice list. Spino made the list, which actually kinda surprised me, but hey, that's your opinion, not mine.

Great fight, though I was rooting for Dryptosaurus.

Not really sure what people mean about "darker tone" when looking at these pictures.  Clearly, these are just things that will be in the park.  It looks just like the type of signs you would see in a Disney World or Universal Studios.  The signs even say the events they are advertising.  Did you expect the park to have a "dark" tone?

Well...look at this.

These pictures show a Velociraptor head and a Rhinoceros Viper head. If you look carefully, you can see it looks like a Velociraptor head, and the small "horns" could be traced to the Rhinoceros Viper.

Well written, but rooting for Dryptosaurus.

Well, it does look like a spinosaur head. Maybe they decided to change the head shape of Diabolus Rex. I'll be posting a theoretical drawing soon.

Certainly it's too slender for T.rex and disproportionate for Spinosaurus, so if it's a dinosaur, it's D-Rex. If not a dinosaur, then a mosasaur.

definetly two interesting animals!

Excitement overload!! This has got to be the diabolus, look at that jaw, what else could it be, not even spinosaurus had a jaw line like that top one! By the looks of that street lamp and bench like object, I'm willing to bet that this monster is out, out and hunting....

FayhDinosaurs ForumJurassic Park's Scientific Accuracy - The ultimate thread

@Evan123I guess we can all agree that the "themepark monsters" inside the Jurassic Park universe are not accurate represenations of the real dinosaurs.

But this thread is informative anyway because I bet most people who watched the movies and are NOT hardcore dinosaur fans would take the information as accurate simply because the movie universe presents them that way.

After all, no one in the movie said "Hey, hang on, that Velociraptor is a bit too big, don't you think? Looks more like a Deinonynchus to me."

Too bad we still don't know much about the actual behaviour of dinosaurs...

THEDINOSAURMAN - This is extremely fascinating! Is it just me, or does that carnosaur image at the center of the first image you presented appear to have slits for pupils? It looks something like a T-Rex, but has slitted eyes like a Velociraptor. Hmm, perhaps a teaser image of D-Rex? Thank you so much for sharing these with us! :)

I hope it has a darker tone. As it currently stands, I'll be watching the movie, but perhaps a tad reluctantly. I hope Colin knows what he's doing with this.

they probably don't want alot to get out, after all their major stuff(d-rex and the plot) were already leaked, and we're a year from the release date!

I think colin - or whoever is representing jurassic world - is being careful at this point, because the movie overall sounds like it has a darker tone...while what is represented here doesn't.

Reply

I sincerely hope the movie is darker than these suggest.

It looks more of a dud, then it should be; I mean, This is one of the best Franchises to work with, And this is what it's being Represented with!?

Those pictures will not show up. For some weird reason, ComingSoon.net has it where you can not insert or embed the images in a message. I had to add it to Pinterest. Here are the photos that he is talking about.
