This is an important discovery when thinking about how dinosaurs moved about and spread.

The Lost World for sure. I remember re-watching that and JP 3 over and over again and never getting bored of them. God those were the days...

Um I know it's not a popular choice but I actually really enjoyed Fallen Kingdom, I'd prefer to rewatch it than Jurassic World 1. I don't know why, I just really liked it. I liked the idea of the Indoraptor a lot.

My favorite sequel is The Lost World, I think it's extremely over looked. Sure, it has it's problems, but there are a lot of great ideas in it. I love how they show the dinosaurs coexisting and creating a mini ecosystem, expanding on the behavior of dinosaurs, mainly the Tyrannosaurus. I also like it shows that if living dinosaurs did exist in modern day, humanity would try to exploit them for profit.

I really love the tone of the film, it has a very eerie and foreboding feel to it, where as the first movie was about humanity bringing dinosaurs to our world, this movie is about humanity entering the dinosaurs' world. Isla Sorna has a very "Skull Island" feel to it, it's a place where humans aren't the top of the food chain, a place where they shouldn't be. The movie has really great scenes that, in my opinion, could be considered just as iconic as the first, such as the Tyrannosaurus parents attacking the RV (RIP Eddie Carr), the Velociraptors in the long grass (RIP Ajay), and the scene of Dieter Stark being swarmed and killed by angry Compsognathus (let's be honest, he kind of deserved it). I will admit there are certain scenes, like the San Diego incident and the infamous "raptor gymnastics" are a bit over the top and silly and some of the characters are a bit bland, but other that, I feel like The Lost World is a really solid and entertaining sequel.

Brachiosaurus were actually highly adapted pterosaurs. The hunting by flinging smaller dinosaurs high into the air and eating them when the splatted.

Beipiaosaurus was actually a dromaeosaur, not a therizinosaur like we thought, that just lost all its sharp raptor teeth and sickle claw

Also, recent studies on pterosaurs indicate that whenever they appeared, they were accompanied by a funky, 70s styled soundtrack.

That’s the reason dinos went extinct! No because of a meteor! The raptors made so many holes that dinos fell into them and died. The avian flying dinos survived because they could fly out.

Possibly, the one in the first film was a juvenile, so it would be cool to see a fully grown one.

Full sized could also be referring to it being a full scale animatronic rather than CGI.

what do you think full sized means? That it will be bigger than the JP one?

Here's another on that shows a prototype for a pyroraptor plush (a VERY stylized one)

*Warning Spoilers!* It also shows a plush for a certain non-dinosaur creature that will appear in the movie:

Here's a link to the pyroraptor toy image, I don't want to post the actual image just in case Universal has a problem with it being shown here:

Because the toy is in a stylized chibi form, it probably isn't the best representation of the final design. Overall it looks like it's fully feathered with a large tail fan, it appears to have small wing feathers, although it's hard to tell what they'll fully look like in the movie.

The indifference from velociraptor is the real problem, but they do look a bit stockier. Also it looks like one of them is albino.

Just because raptors didn’t pack hunt doesn’t mean other dinosaurs didn’t. It’s suggested that T. rex might have.

I've seen leaked images of a chibi style pyroraptor toy, which looks similar to the JW: Alive design

Could you please share these if possible

Yeah, I think they look pretty cool as well (I really like the patterns on the one in the third picture), my only nitpick is that I wish that they differentiated their designs from the classic velociraptor a bit more (they should have put a big fin on their heads, lol). Jokes aside, I am pretty excited to see them in action.

Personally I'm fine with the atrociraptors not having feathers, as we're also getting the pyroraptors which will be feathered (I've seen leaked images of a chibi style pyroraptor toy, which looks similar to the JW: Alive design). I like that we're getting both scaly raptors and feathered raptors in the movie, it's a good mix of new and old.

As far as the raptor pack hunting, it is kind of sad that they probably didn't do that. It is possible that they worked together to take down larger prey on occasion, but sadly it probably wasn't as common as once thought. I doubt that they'll change it for the movies, as the raptors are already well established as pack hunters in JP universe. That and the fact that JW isn't really going for 100% accuracy (which I'm personally ok with).

BEING THE PALEO PERSON WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING AND AM DECIDEDLY SAYING IM BETTER THAN YOU, ITS INNACURATE BECAUSE IT HAS NOT FEATHERS.

Jokes aside I do think it looks great. Can’t wait to see more. Even if the size is wrong I’d be fine as long as it’s still smaller than the up velociraptors even by a little bit.

Also this might be a bad time to mention raptors probably didn’t pack hunt which is sad.
