I guess I should probobly tell you guys why I chose what I did.
Baryonyx because its a fish eater, and most likely won't eat me
Dilophosaurus because I could probobly just close the jaws or tackle it and it might just run.
Allosaurus because its big enough that my whieght won't affect it at all and it still runs fast.
Utahraptor because its cool
Dienochierus because its one of my favorites and it will ent the mystery one and for all.
Deltadromeus because it also really cool
Edmontosaurus because I really like how big it is.
Pentaceratops because it has the largest dinosaur head their is.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumT-rex/Spinosaurus confrontJun 28, 2013
I have always believed that Spinosaurus' sail would have lowered it's agility. Spino was certainly longer than Rex and taller too.
Rex- 43-50 ft long, 20-23 ft tall
Spino- 45-56 ft long, 20-23 ft tall(head) 23-25 ft tall(sail)
However, the spinosaurs as a whole seem to be lightly built for their overall size.
Rex- 8-10 tons
Spino- 5-7 tons
All sizes here are based on my opinions, theories, and estimates.
Thanks guys

Even though Tyrannosaurus is my favorite, I'll try and do some different dinos.
Large Carnivore- Tyrannosaurus, just so awesome in my opinion.
Small- Ceratosaurus if considered small, personally, I don't consider it small. If it does not count, Australovenator.
Ride- Gallimimus, those things were so fast. Some believe, including me, that they could hit 65 miles per hour!
Eaten- Tyrannosaurus, quick and "painless".
See, but not interact- Camarasaurus
Skeleton- Tyrannosaurus, my favorite of course.
Meet herbivore- Triceratops
Herbivore attack- Titanosaurus, just get stepped on and get it done and over with.
Cool survey. I did my best to have as many non-Rex dinos as possible, haha
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus or Troodon?Jun 28, 2013
Carno would be a "newer" addition. The Troodons would be too close to the Velociraptor. It's kind of like when they did the Spinosaurus. No offence to Spino or any of it's fans. But T-rex was kind of labeled as the biggest, baddest dino out there in the first 2. Then Spino came in and people flipped out. The Raptors were portrayed as the smartest and deadliest dinosaur out there pound for pound. You throw in Troodon which is smarter and you may have some problems with the fan base. Carno is a safer choice, no pun intended.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
If you mean White Tip's, the raptor from Dinosaur Planet, original pack, then I think it is actually very possible. It was wiped out by a rival pack. Almost like wolf pack warfare. If you mean her second pack which was killed by a sand dune collapsing, then it's less likely because that's a "freak" event. However, it could still happen.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus or Troodon?Jun 28, 2013
Troodon, from the game of couse. It practically is the Dilophosaurus poison thing, just not spitable, and on something smarter than Velociraptor, but I don't think either one of them will be the new scary dinosaur.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus or Troodon?Jun 28, 2013
Interesting. I would be leaning towards Carno though. The chameleon ability is obviously like the dilo spitting poison, just for added effects.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
I know. Have you ever seen that one episode of dinosaur planet where the Velociraptor's pack got killed? It is unlikely, but anything is possible.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
It will be hard to come across just one raptor, sorry to say this, but your dead as Microraptor.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
If it was one Rex/Spino chasing you, obviously you would go where it can't. If you were to run into a Velociraptor, it depends on how many. If it's only 1 or 2, you have a chance to fight (real life, not JP raptors). Any more though, might as well choose death by King/Pharaoh (if you've read FBR 3, you know what I mean).
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumIs Spinosaurus Overrated?Jun 28, 2013
Spinosaurus is over-hated for the simple reason that it is new. T-Rex was accepted as the king, the biggest, baddest, most awesome carnivorous dinosaur of them all. In JP3, who had heard of Spino before it came out? In a nutshell, Spino is hated because some new dinosaur no one has heard of comes in and kills the king.
It is possible that the Spino fossil found is not the biggest, but it also could be the biggest. Only one skeleton and a few fragments have been found, and maybe the skeleton found was the only one heavy enough to survive erosion.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumIs Spinosaurus Overrated?Jun 28, 2013
Like I have said numerous times, it really all depends on your own theories and opinions. I think T-rex was heavier than Spino, but Spino was longer. It all depends on who you talk to.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013

ReplySpinoDinoOfLaPushDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
I had a dream I got chased by velociraptors. It was the scariest feeling ever knowing I had no chance of escape lol
ReplySpinoDinoOfLaPushDinosaurs ForumIs Spinosaurus Overrated?Jun 28, 2013
The fight in JP3 was kinda wrong because they were subadults of nearly the same length (40 & 43 feet) . Rex would win at parity because it had better weapons, but at maximum size for both, Spino would have a good chance to overwhelm it with sheer size. Nearly a 20 foot length advantage and 2+ ton weight advantage drastically changes the outcome. I think Rex makes a better JP villain, but Spino would win more IMO. It's nearly impossible to comprehend how huge Spino was. It's unlikely that the Spino found was even the biggest, so it is pretty underrated in some ways and over-hated.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumIs Spinosaurus Overrated?Jun 28, 2013
I'd say Spino is overly hated, not overrated. I think a few more people to like it would be nice, but there are way too many people who despise spinosaurus.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
I was really talking about dromeasaurus themselves. The race is perfect to kill almost anything, just nick the right raptor.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumIs Spinosaurus Overrated?Jun 28, 2013
It may have had the strength to do it to a sub-adult like the one in JP3. It may have had enough strength to snap an adult Rex's neck, but it would be much harder. Well, that and the fact that, like I said, it did not have the needed wrist motion. I think it's funny how little things like that are some of the most important pieces of info out there.
ReplyKelmayisaurus gigantusDinosaurs ForumTop 10 Longest TheropodsJun 28, 2013
F Y I kelmayisaurus gigantus was 22 meters long (72 feet long) wich makes it the largest theropod to ever exist.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumIs Spinosaurus Overrated?Jun 28, 2013
I said most of what you had said Rex Fan. It's ok though. Good point with the wrist motion. That and it probably didn't have the arm strength to snap it's neck.

ReplyRex Fan 684Jurassic Park ForumRaptor ProposalJun 28, 2013
Interesting thought. It's certainly possible that they were adapting/evolving.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumT-Rex/Spinosaurus comparisonJun 28, 2013
Yes, like I said, Spino did not have the wrist action needed to do that motion. I found it interesting that the Spino "magically" slipped free from the Tyrannosaurs' jaws. I think Spino should have used it's claws far more than anything else. The Rex should have used it jaws more than just head-butting the Spino.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumT-rex Growth RateJun 28, 2013
I'm not going to say who's right and who's wrong, but I will say that we all have different opinions, estimations, and theories. I think Tyrannosaurus averaged 43-46 ft long with a weight of 8 tons and maxed out at 50 ft long and 9-10 tons. You can think what you want and I will think what I want. Sound good?
Thanks
ReplyDinosaur.FanaticDinosaurs ForumT-Rex/Spinosaurus comparisonJun 28, 2013
Spino had a pretty good grasp on Rex's neck, and he used his arms to his advantage, aiding his neck muscles in snapping Rex's neck.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
Same here, haha. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure which is scarier, real Velociraptors or the JP ones? Sure the JP ones were bigger and scarier looking, but a bunch of those real ones would not be pretty. I don't care if they got the feathers of a peacock or the size of a labrador, 80, 2 inch teeth and a pair of sickle claws over 3 inches long would not be fun. Then multiply that by 10! Just sayin, maybe the real Velociraptors are a little underrated.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs Forum10 Dinosaurs That Could Be The New Villain In Jurassic Park IVJun 28, 2013
Yeah. I'm saying Tyrannosaurus and the Raptors will be the main villains. Then you could have Metri be a secondary predator or maybe even with the return to Nublar, the Dilos.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
I'd run to the big carnivore and say "eat me" and hope the raptors don't get to me first.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
I totally get what you mean. Raptors are deadly, well they were, but so are the big carnivores. If you are being chased by a Rex/Spino and they chase you to a thick jungle and you realize there is a pack of raptors in there, you are screwed.
Make your choice-
Death by a thousand teeth and a hundred claws or death by giant hand claws/bone crushing bite?
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumIs Spinosaurus Overrated?Jun 28, 2013
Naturally I'm going to have different opinions and theories, but they are MY opinions and theories. Not being biased. Anyways, Spinosaurus was certainly the longest carnivore at over 56 ft long. However, the spinosaur family as a whole seem to be pretty light-weight for their overall size. I don't see Spino exceeding 7 tons. Now, this may get controversial, but I'm going to say it anyways. The way the Spino killed the Rex in JP3 was all wrong. It used it's hands and arms to snap the Rex's neck. In life, Spino did not have the wrist action needed to perform this motion. It should have slashed the Rex's throat or something. That is one of the biggest reasons why I think the Rex should have won that fight and not Spino. Spino could win, but not that way.
Spino is underatted in the fact that it is unique and interesting. But it's overrated in it's overall weight and strength.
My opinions guys. I don't want to see any Spino fans get all fired up because of what I said. You know who you are. Am I clear? I apologize that I had to say that to anyone who does not do that. Thanks guys.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumT-Rex/Spinosaurus comparisonJun 28, 2013
I agree. It could probably swim if it had to, but not on a daily basis. That sail could catch a breeze and blow it off course if it was above the water, then again, it could act like a sail on a sailboat, I don't know. There is one thing I would like to point out about Spinosaurs. It's not downgrading him or anything. It's the way it won the fight I JP3. Of course Spino could beat a Rex once and a while, especially a sub-adult like in JP3. However, the way he did it was all wrong. It should have used it's claws more. They had him grab the Rex by the back of the neck in it's jaws and hold it's shoulders and head with it's hands to keep it from getting away. That was one thing. Then, he used his hands to twist the Rex's neck which broke it. Based on my research, which I did a lot before I brought this point up, Spino did not have the wrist action required to do this motion. It's not a matter of it's jaw strenth, but how it's wrists and hands could move. I just thought that was interesting.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
I think raptors would be much more of a threat in Jurassic Park 4. Yes T. rex and Spino are huge, but if you where driving a car, you'd be safe. Raptors would be running almost equal. And more, you only have to run into thick jungle, like in jp3, your home free. Your still dead if there are raptors. It's the small things that kill ya.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumEnough with the Spinosaurus vs. T-rexJun 28, 2013
There is nothing wrong with the debate itself. However, you are right that the people who, on both teams, think they know everything really should stop. You know who you are. Anyways, the Tyrannosaurus Spinosaurus debate is ok, but don't get carried away.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
I don't think you are giving Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus their due credit. They are some of the largest land carnivores ever, both are contenders for the title. That said, raptors are definetly some of the nastiest dinosaurs pound for pound. T-rex was smart too and I don't think Spino was necessarily "dumb" either. Of course they are not raptor smart though. In the long run, I would rather be attacked by a Tyrannosaurus or Spinosaurus than a pack of raptors. Rex/Spino would be quick and painless relatively speaking. Raptors would be slow and agonizing.
The Heavy Artilery= Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus
The Assassains= The Raptors

ReplyDeltadromeusJurassic Park ForumShould team raptor be an official team?Jun 28, 2013
I really want a team raptor. I made a discussion about raptors, you should go check it out. Raptors are really the main villain, but are more ignored by the really big thing with killer jaws. "That's when the attack comes. Not from the front, but from the side. By the other two raptors you never even knew where there."
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
I'd almost bet that if there was a raptor part of the jurassic park fan ratio, it would be the clear winner. No one here do not like the raptors.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumThe True KillersJun 28, 2013
The Raptors were the most deadly for the obvious reason of stealth. They are small, light, agile, and fast. The T-Rex and Spino were big, slow, and heavy. The Raptors could hide in tall grass and dark corners. Rex and Spino however, could not hide so easily, and the their footsteps would be pretty loud and give a warning.

1. In Jurassic Park III, Grant and Billy talk about the Spinosaurus, Billy saying "I don't remember seeing this on ingen's list. Grant then replies "well....they were hiding somethings...
This Spinosaur could have been a secret project OR it could have been thought to have been a Baryonx, due to the snout factor (Baryonx was on the cloning list)
2. When Steven Spielberg released Jurassic Park, he wanted the behavior and look of the dinosaurs to be as real as possible ( the reason Jack Horner, Robert Bakker, etc. we're hired to give advice). If JP4 is going to use the classic dinosaur look, then what good is it hiring the best Paleontologists?!?
3. If you go to imdb.com and search jurassic park,it gives you a page of info. Clink on the FAQ and one of the questions is "how accurate are the dinosaurs to modern science? The Trex is the Most accurate, yet it has two or three problems. Now try and tell me someone wouldn't fix this crap going on with the tyrannosaur and brachiosaur? And if they are gonna fix the tyrant lizard king, they should fix the most lethal dinosaur in the movies...the raptors. It says on the website that the raptors are the most screwed up in all three movies.
In conclusion, I think they may not add feathers, but they will fix all of the other bloopers as well.
