Let me guess, Eoraptor, Cryolophosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Aussie rex, Tarbo/Z rex, and T. rex. These aren't all the Dino's I would think, but just the main ones.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumNeovenator vs StyracosaurusSep 7, 2013
Yeah, but it's pretty unknown for the general public. There were a couple of pics, but not too many really good ones.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumNeovenator vs StyracosaurusSep 7, 2013
How is Styracosaurus little known? It is a common dinosaur for the people who know a bit about dinosaurs.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumVeterupristisaurus vs SiamosaurusSep 7, 2013
Biting and waiting for it to bleed to death. It is a possible way, but I don't think that they had sauropod often. Only in desperate times do I think that they would attack an Alamosaurus.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumNeovenator vs StyracosaurusSep 7, 2013
They were great! It's hard to find pictures of little known dinosaurs like Neovenator and Styracosaurus

See a possible depiction of how Tyrannosaurus took down Alamosaurus in one of my older posts, Tyrannosaurus vs Alamosaurus, part of the original Clash of Series(Season 1, Clash of Titans)
;)

Wow DinoFights, big reaction from you, haha.
The documentary I'd want to do the most is one where it goes through all the continents at different times.
Something like this...
Episode 1- Mid-Triassic S. America
Episode 2- Early Jurassic Antarctica
Episode 3- Mid-Jurassic Europe
Episode 4- Late Jurassic Africa
Episode 5- Early-Cretaceous Australia
Episode 6- Mid-Cretaceous Asia
Episode 7- Late-Cretaceous N. America

Good fight. Glad you liked the pics I found DinoFights.

Oh, we'll, its still really cool, and very well placed. I need to go look that up now.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumNeovenator vs StyracosaurusSep 7, 2013
I just googled Allosaurus vs Styracosaurus and it came up as the only good picture.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumNeovenator vs StyracosaurusSep 7, 2013
Interesting, well I have to say good job finding the fight pic. I really liked that.

Crap, I forgot to give credit to Rex Fan for the pictures.
Anyway, thanks for the pics Rex Fan!

ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumNeovenator vs StyracosaurusSep 7, 2013
Bloodthirsty, also known as territorial. If I was the Neovenator, I wouldn't have put up with the Styracosaurus drinking from my pond. Basically, Neovenator deserves a rematch. Is that a possiblity for after you have finished season 3, to go over you mistakes and re write the battle?
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumNeovenator vs StyracosaurusSep 7, 2013
Wasn't really that late to me when I posted it (9:30 ish here in Seattle)
Thanks, I thought it was a little subpar but as long as the fans think it's good.
Yeah, sorry about Neo being a wimp. I tried to make it more realistic this time and it failed, so back to bloodthirsty killers on the next fight.
Also, I was thinking maybe Cristatusaurus or Suchosaurus as well, because either way Suchomimus and Baryonyx are possibly rentering as alternate personalities XD
Cristatusaurus measured about 34-36 feet and Suchosaurus about 30-33 so either would be good fits, really.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumMost Accurate DinosaursSep 7, 2013
I couldn't have said it better. Probably because I have enough trouble enounciating words. Halaluya, I'm going to pronounce you some day, some day.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumNeovenator vs StyracosaurusSep 7, 2013
Okay, first, I'm glad that I'm not the only one up this late,
Second, great fight,
Third, Neovenator is being a wimp.
I can't quite say I agree with the winner. Styracosaurus was pretty bad news, but I think that Neovenator was pulling a my sister and backing off at every little bit of pain. Man up, and fight like you want to be declared strongest medium sized dinosaur.
Ps, I've though of a Spinosaur that could replace Suchomimus, option 1. Suchosaurus, 30 feet long, could be Baryonyx, who cares. 2. Sigilmassasaurus, 25 feet long, stronger than the other Spinosaurs, might be a Carcharadontosaur, again, who cares.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumEvolutionary Convergence Sep 6, 2013
It's funny to me that Postosuchus and kin have become the tail dragging, cold blooded, non-intelligent, lizard-like animals in a tripod stance that dinosaurs once were...

Convergent evolution is a cool thing. Animals that are only very distantly related, like ichthyosaurs and dolphins, end up evolving very similar characteristics. Postosuchus walked on two legs because its ancestors saw how efficient early bipedal dinosaurs were.
Spinosaurs may evolved the conical teeth and long narrow jaws because the design was efficient in Dilophosaurus. Masiakasaurus grew long arms and claws, a narrow skull, long teeth and a diet like spinosaurs to get a better niche hold. Bahariasaurus became a fast and agile sprinter with long arms like the much smaller african dromaeosaurs, "the predator" may have been an abelisaur that mimicked tyrannosaurs or vise versa, megaraptors may have mimicked spinosaurs in hand design and megalosaurs and allosaurs evolved very similar characteristics, only the most advanced megalosaurs like Torvosaurus and Edmarka showed major differences.

I have to agree with DinoFights on this one. T. rex is a great hadrosaur/Ankylosaur/ceratopsian hunter. But sauropods are just not his thing. I'm not saying that he didn't attack sauropods, but even if they did live in a pack, the best Allosaurs take days to kill some sauropods not much bigger than Alamosaurus. Also, the sheer bulk of a sauropod will make it tough for T. rex to get its jaws around, and only the smaller front teeth will bite down on the flesh.

I'd say Nyasasaurus! Making me the OG Dino! (this pick is subject to change)

Yeah.
BTW, one of my friends is taking a class on computer programming and another on video game making. He said that he and I could work together to try and make dinosaur oriented games and maybe even movies/documentaries. He creates it, I make sure the dinosaurs are correct ;)

The animation wasn't really bad so much as it was not top quality. Better than I could do, anyways.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumVeterupristisaurus vs SiamosaurusSep 6, 2013
Still, the jaws aren't built for slicing and don't open wide, even if it did hunt in huge swarms and adults of Alamosaurus are simply huge compared to any Tyrannosaurus.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumVeterupristisaurus vs SiamosaurusSep 6, 2013
Well, that's a difference of opinion right there ;)
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumMost Accurate DinosaursSep 6, 2013
I actually thought Dinosaur Planet was quite good. I thought it had good animation and information. A little speculative, but then again, most documentaries are.
PS- In Dinosaur Planet: Alpha's Egg, the large carnivores are said to be Carcharodontosaurus. However, being that this takes place in S. America, not Africa, they are more likely Giganotosaurus.

Not tall enough to reach an adult's neck, improper dentary, lack of speed and stability, small gape and a different niche all are against T. rex.
Here's an Argentinosaurus-sized Alamosaurus and the average 11m T. rex.

When it comes to sauropod hunters, they always have wide gapes, slicing teeth, high speeds and extremely well balanced bodies, all the characteristics T. rex lacks.
T. rex was a ceratopsian, ankylosaur and hadrosaur hunter that may have traveled in small packs, not the huge swarms that carcharodontosaurs and allosaurs did.
ReplyKeatonc33Dinosaurs ForumTop 10 Most Bizarre DinosaursSep 6, 2013
Good list! For my money though, I think a pachycephalosaur deserves some recognition. Stygimoloch or the classic name sake. Just for the unprecedented boney head structures and the on going mystery behind their purpose. Suchomimus came to mind too because of the crocodilian snout, but that also applies well to Spinosaurus who also has the more unique sail. Good call there. I also couldn't help but notice no sauropods. The weight and length alone make them pretty unique, not to mention the necks.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumVeterupristisaurus vs SiamosaurusSep 6, 2013
I'm sorry, but with all this talk of carcharodontosaurs taking sauropod's heads off, why do so many say Tyrannosaurus did not hunt large sauropods like Alamosaurus? It's bite was many times more powerful than the carcharodontosaurs and, while Alamosaurus was big, it was not the biggest dinosaur out there. Just felt like pointing that out ;)
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumMost Accurate DinosaursSep 6, 2013
Every documentary has at least one flaw.
JFC used a lot of speculation, Planet Dinosaur portrayed Spinosaurus as a little too weak, Dinosaur Revolution was decent but, once again, used a little too much speculation and the animation wasn't as high quality as, say, Planet Dinosaur, Dinosaur Planet had clunky animation, WWD had the giant Liopleurodon and When Dinosaurs Roamed America is outdated in visual depictions and speculative at some parts (pack hunting T. rex)
I'm just waiting for the next major documentary, showing feathery Yutyrannus, bristled ceratopsians, Oviraptors as clam and crab eaters, bipedal Postosuchus, Huaxiaosaurus and other newer dinosaurs and discoveries. I think either Dinosaur Revolution or Planet Dinosaur are the most accurate IMO.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumVeterupristisaurus vs SiamosaurusSep 6, 2013
Yeah. I don't think it could decapitate an adult Argentinosaurus, but definitely Saltasaurus and Amargasaurus.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumVeterupristisaurus vs SiamosaurusSep 6, 2013
Amargasaurus was fairly small compared to other Sauropods. Giganotosaurus had the strongest bite of the Carcharadontosaur, and I really think that it could decapitate almost any Titanosaurs under 70 feet long.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumMost Accurate DinosaursSep 6, 2013
I've only seen bits too. And I would only watch it because it had Bradycneme, and well, dinosaurs.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumIf You where a DinosaurSep 6, 2013
I guess I did, and I had no intention of doing it whatsoever. I just wanted to taunt a Carcharadontosaurus. Change me back change me back!
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumMost Accurate DinosaursSep 6, 2013
JFC was really accurate too. I've only seen bits and pieces of Planet Dinosaur on Youtube to be honest. But I know most of it.

I thought you were a Utahraptor? Did you switch to Deltadromeus?
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumIf You where a DinosaurSep 6, 2013
Thanks, but I think I can take care of myself. I live with Carcharadontosaurus, Spinosaurus, Bahariasaurus, Eocarcharia, Kryptops, ect ect. At least we now know that phobodon never existed.
