I would say my favorite Jurassic Park character would have to be Ian Malcolm. I identify with him somewhat, as he is the man who warned everyone of impeding chaos but was ignored. He nearly pays the price for this instead of the people who ignored him in the first place. And then in the second movie, he finds the family he has worked for being threatened to be taken from him by the very island he has strived to warn everyone about.
Saw that as well. Really covers the wonder and fascination that we all have for Jurassic Park. Seen through the eyes of a child who looks with things in wonder for the first time.
Hopefully my entry does better than my last one ;)
Thanks for entering!!!
Oh what the heck. I entered ;)
Changed my display name to just my first name 'Matt' but my user name on this site is officially 'Sickle_Claw'. I always liked that name, and it was the first thing to pop in my head when I first joined the JP community way back. It's my username across most of the JP community, including JPL and JPtoys. I thought of that name thinking of the famous 'raptors in the kitchen' scene in Jurassic Park, where you see the Sickle Claw of the raptor tapping on the floor. Something about that has always stuck with me.
I'd say yes. I loved the Jurassic Park arcade games and have played all of them so far. I got the furthest in the Jurassic Park one, had to watch a playthrough of The Lost World one, since i always died at the Compys. But the Lost World one always seemed extremely interesting to me. Maybe if they could keep a light gun feeling to the game while adding complexity, that would be intriguing.
All right, I concede that if you are talking about the shrunken down version, there's a possibility that if you take the animal by surprise you may be able to bring it down. But for several animals, especially ones charging at you like a Grizzly bear-it may be difficult to get a good shot at them and in your panic it might not be possible to aim correctly.
A fully grown one, it would not be advisable to tackle alone at all. If you must, I would recommend a sniper position in a location the animal can't easily get to, and if it somehow manages to tear down your defenses...
Looking forward to the next fight...it looks intriguing.
Thanks Allo!! Glad to know a lot of people liked it!!!
That was great!
Thanks everyone!!
The weapons and armor can't be biological.
Is it biological weapons and armor or manufactured?
I'll get started on my entry around tomorrow morning.
I know TK. I'm the last guy you have to tell that to. I was saying that those rounds would easily take a 200 pounder, not a full grown, 5 or so ton Torvo. At least, not one shot. For a full grown Torvo, a .50 BMG or .338 Lapua Magnum FMJ round to the eye would most likely be sufficient.
I'm in! Making Entry now :)
I pmed my entry! :)
hell, i'll join! i'll Pm you my entry tonight
Clash of the Dinosaurs is awesome, though the Dinosaur Revolution is the scariest.

Well, my favorite show is Top Gear and my favorite host on the show is Jeremy Clarkson whose nickname is Jezza.
Ya but a full grown torvo would take a stronger gun.
Actually, it was a shrunk down Torvosaurus that was brought down to 200 pounds. About any centre fire cartridge, be it a .223, a 22-250, a .204 Ruger, or even a 9mm Handgun would be more than enough. Heck, a .17 HMR, .22 WMR or .22 Magnum, all Rimfire rounds, would be enough to drop a 200 pound animal of any sort.
I'd say the Torvo had the advantage from the start. Even with a machine gun, a human would not stand that much change against an angry and rampaging therapod. Well, unless there were multiple humans against one.
I remember this from a while ago. It's still pretty cool.
Thansk Sci-Fi King!!!! Yeah, I made it that way so hopefully someone would fal for it!
Actually, here's an article about the European Torvosaurus...

Figured you'd at least find it interesting.
Also, even though I don't really like Wikipedia that much, they do a decent job of explaining some things...
I say eropean torvosaurus is about 41 feet on average. but thats me.
I was just wondering why you thought that. You don't think the size is right or something?
sorry im not trying to offend you i was stating my opinion. you have yours.
Thanks guys.
Why do you say that TK?
It's a nice comparison! I like that you included Torvosaurus, it's a nice change.
Sounds great! Rooting for:
Pliosaurus
Kronosaurus
Cretoxyrhina
Hyneria
Cymbospondylus
At first I thought this was going to be serious, but I should've known. Nice job!
