Authors Notes: As stated in the beginning, this series will feature some fowl language. They're soldiers fighting an enemy they couldn't have imagined, what do you expect?
And as I stated, the next part WILL feature my first creation, Iragrex leptos, The Swarm.
I'll have the next part up later this week, so look forward to it then.
Me too. Hopefully the second will get this much.
Thanks again! I'm happy this is getting a lot of positive feedback! :)
SCI-FI KING25 - That was exceptionally fun to read! I greatly enjoyed the way in which you portrayed Owen! Thank you ever so much for sharing this with us! :)
How very neat! :)
Why does the title say "Tyrannotitan vs Oxalaia", when it's Suchomimus vs Yangchuanosaurus?
Hell Yeah!!!!
EVAN23 - Yes, indeed! I heard about this as well! I'd be willing to wager that her role has something to do with the D-Rex. Perhaps she feels sympathy for the animal and has a hand in its escape. If her role is small and "poignant", perhaps she is killed in the process of whatever actions she takes. We'll have to wait and see! Thank you so much for bringing this interesting news up! :)
This is gonna be LEGENDARY!!!!!!!!
While no stress tests have been done on Suchomimus jaw and bite strength it is thought that its bite force was considerable so it could keep prey from wriggling free, since the fish it likely caught would weigh several hundred pounds and be strong enough to free itself from a less powerful predator. Another deadly adaptation Suchomimus showed was long powerful arms that held 12 in long claws on the thumbs, and 4-6 in claws on the rest of its hand. These claws are thought to have acted like meat hooks so the Suchomimus had more control over struggling prey, some paleontologists even think that after the prey died the Suchomimus could use its claws like literal meat hooks and carried prey, though no test have been done to confirm or deny this theory.
suchomimus is not a carnosaur
yangchuanosauris was a very large and powerful beast. Found in china this beast is notibale was its abnormal bulk. With a fairly robust skull and body, this animal had a bite stronger then other allosaurids its size. At a weight if 4 to 5 tons plus the that hatchet bite mechanism which would be about 4 to 6 tons which would be enough to break the spine of the suchomimus. And with 7 to 8 inch hand claws on large, powerful armS attached to a 30 to 33 foot long 15 foot tall body was truly an impressive and strong beast.
Suchomimus
This massive predator was found in 1998 in Niger by Paul Sereno, Allison Beck, Didier Dutheil, Boubacar Gado, Hans Larsson, Gabrielle Lyon, Jonathan Marcot, Oliver Walter Mischa Rauhut, Rudyard Sadleir, Christian Sidor, David Varricchio, Gregory Wilson and Jeffrey Wilson. The Suchomimus is believed to have been both Ichthyophagous (was able to subsist primarily on fish) and at times a Carnosaur (was able to subsist on red meat if no other food source). The Suchomimus type specimen discovered in Niger was originally estimated at being 11 meters and weighing 5 tons, though these estimates were later reduced to 9.5 meters and 2.5 tons because the type specimen was found to be a sub-adult. Later studies suggest that a full grown Suchomimus ranged in size and weight from 3-6 tons, stood 3-5 meters tall, and was 9-12 meters in length. The Suchomimus snout contained 122 conical teeth that differ from most other conical teeth because the Suchomimus teeth bent backwards slightly and contained serrations. It was a heavily built dinosaur with its body being covered with powerful muscles, these muscles made the Suchomimus bite very lethal because of the combined strength of its teeth and its gripping strength. The Suchomimus is believed to have been a bipedal dinosaur unlike the larger spinosaurus giving it the ability to use its massive claws to rake its prey thats trapped in its powerful jaws.
Megaraptor:
Megaraptor should never be used for comparisons or fights due to use not only knowing virtually nothing about it, but also due to not even knowing exactly what it even was in the first place. After all, its entire existence is simply based on a claw that thought to be the dewclaw of a giant dromaeosaur-like coelurosaur; hence the name “MEGA-raptor”.

These days, megaraptor is considered to be either a neovenatorid allosauroid or tyrannosauroid coelurosaur. More paleontologists agree that it was more likely the hand claw of a mysterious neovenatorid.
Due to the lack of evidence of its existence in general, megaraptor has no real estimates but it might have been anywhere from 20-30ft in length

Who would really win?
Abelisaurus would triumph due to being about the same size but likely more robust, overall advance and equipped with much more powerful jaws. The only advantage that megaraptor would have would be its large claws larger arms. The problem is that dinosaurs such as neovenatorid did not have dramatic arm ratios. Dinosaurs in general actually had pretty short arm ratios, except for dinosaurs such as therizinosaurus.
There is no doubt that quetzalcoatlus was large.

But regardless of the size, it is unlikely that quetzalcoatlus could ever take on a predatory theropod over 20-30ft in length. Pterosaurs in general were extremely lightly built, especially the massive ones such as hatzegopteryx and quetzalcoatlus itself. They would likely get badly injured quite easily in physical conflicts, meaning very unsuited for combat.
Plus, quetzalcoatlus had an extremely lightly built skull with an overly elongated toothless beak. Such jaws would not cause any real damage to 20-30ft theropods; more like harsh pinches.

Thanks guys! :)
I will be posting the next chapter tomorrow. Also this will be four parts. By the way, you did a great job.
Nice start, looking forward to the next chapter.
Nice battle, I was rooting for Torvosaurus though I knew Siats would win.
Well... If you think about it, Her role might be just a supporting role like that of Lex and Tim.
Or she could just be doing something in the back ground that supports the plot.
Who knows!
I ber her role will be small but pivotal like Chris said.
Now I read that it is Irrfan Khan's character...to me looks like Dr. Wu and also the ranger in the back I noticed!
Dr. Wu! Amber stone! Owen! Raptors! T-Rex! Pteradacly! Hamada (Security), helicopter pilot! YAY!!!!!!
So cool! Speechless!
So many things...can't talk...later...maybe...
What should be mentioned first and foremost is that we know almost nothing about Siats or torvosaurus.
Torvosaurus:
Your estimates for torvosaurus is incorrect. Torvosaurus being 36ft in length was recently debunked officially.
http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0088905
It turns out that specimen was actually 33ft in length, not 36ft. Even Wikipedia acknowledges this change.
Though it must be emphasized that wiki's weight estimate is innaccurate and very unlikely. At that weight for that size on such a slenderly built theropod, torvosaurus was even more robust and heavier than its much broader 39ft cousin, acrocanthosaurus; which is utterly false. If anything, based on torvosaurus close, similarly built relative allosaurus, torvosaurus was likely ~2-3tons.
Siats meekerorum
As for Siats, your size estimate for it is misconstruing the difference on how large Siats really was and how large it might have possibly been through maturity.
I don't know where he is getting his numbers from, but every legitimate source I read on Siats meekerorum puts it at about ~30ft in length. Additional size estimates are primarily based on potential growth estimates of which are not even really conclusive.

http://www.fieldmuseum.org/science/blog/dino-discovery
Even the actual, full scientific papers for Siats meekerorum states it at around ~30ft, not 40ft in length:
http://www.nature.com/ncomms/2013/131122/ncomms3827/full/ncomms3827.html
Lindsay Zanno has explained this to prevent confusion.
Just watch at 8:42 on Dr. Lindsay Zanno's video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDxM0AVC29Q
There is also no way we can truly say if Siats meekerorum could grow up to 38ft, if at all. I watched an interesting YouTube video by content creator ThePrehistoricMaster where someone actually made a very good point
Quote by YouTuber +calibersoul2012
"As for Siats growth estimates (which is obviously what you certainly must be referring to, I assume), it is potential considering that it might have been a sub-adult. However, we do not know if Siats could have reached its maximum estimate estimate of just under 39ft, a more realistic estimate of 34-36ft or grow a mere foot longer. You also have to strongly factor in that this is all considering if Siats would have grow in size at all. The sub-adults of certain species will not grow after that stage in terms of size, just in appearances and maturity. We just do not know enough about this dinosaur to make such claims."
Siats was ultimately around ~30ft in length, not 40ft.
Who would win?
Siats meekerorum would ultimately triumph regardless of the torvosaurus length advantage.
Elaboration to why Siats would triumph:
The reason is because torvosaurus was not significantly larger and was a primitive megalosaurid of which were just a subcategory of even more primitive and relatively gracile allosaurids.
Siats was a member of the neovenatoridae, which are more robust than allosaurids but not as much as carcharodontosaurids; somewhat like the bridge between allosauridae and carcharodontosauridae. Thus, it is with great reason to expect Siats to ultimately be overall stronger than torvosaurus.
Additionally, Siats was also likely overall more advance.
Not going to lie...
This litterally looks like There last Dinosaur Set they released, But just a switch of colours...
Still, Pretty sweet.
Awesome! Now show us the D-Rex set.
(I know I love them too! :D just want to make Ceratosaurus feel better)
Thanks Sci-Fi King! ;) That was my other guess.
BTW Guest what?! I getting JPOG on Christmas! My friend got it the other day... I would get it but I am in Queens Land Australia on holidays, I live down the coast back in Sydney...we always talk about it at school cant wait!!!!!
Blue is also the leader raptor in the Jurassic World trailer. If you look closely, you'll see the other raptors speed up when he does and at the close up when he screeches you see the striping.
^DOWN WITH ALLOSAURUS! DOWN WITH ALLOSAURUS! The Ceratosaurus shall live on!
(Actually, I'm fine with Allosaurus. I mean, it's my third favorite dinosaur.)
^Oh. It was fixed. Originally, the description was describing the past design. It said the male had pinkish-red skin on its head, while the females were a dark green, but it doesn't anymore.
i got the name from jp legacy. im not really sure where they got the name from. i think it was some guy on twitter who said he was an editor and that got see the animatronic in person and thats the name they called it
You're going to have to ask dinoboy, he's the one who said it frst. Also, she is the one seen in the poster with Chris Pratt. If you look at her eyes, you'll see blue stripes going from them down the length of her body, hence the name "Blue".
It's a good idea, and @Silver_Falcon, how did you get that?
Yes Great, yes will shall! Ceratosaurus freedom! Ceratosaurus freedom! Down with Allosaurus! Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol :D
