I think Spino should make a brief appearance, getting killed by the new dinosaur. Either that or safe in an enclosure.

I think it was completly allosaurian. It wasn't suited to be a spinosaur, wrong jaws, wrong claws, wrong body.

Chased by dinosaurs
Chases by sea monsters, tecnically not a dinosaur movie, but it is still really good.
Walking with dinosaurs
That is all I've watched that I like. I have seen land before time and Dinosaurs, but I don't like them.

ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumShould Acrocanthosaurus be considered an early Spinosaur?Jul 17, 2013
I know there are a fair amount of differences, but there are enough similarities that may justify a reexamination of Acro's exact placement. I think it's somewhere between the allosaurian dinosaurs and the spinosaurian ones. Not really fitting in either. Just a thought though.

ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumDo All Fossils of Dinosaurs Show Feather Evidence?Jul 17, 2013
Herbivores, with the exception of the therizinosaurs, almost certainly did not have feathers. Now, the therizinosaurs probably did. There is direct evidence for raptors, including Velociraptor, that shows they had feathers. V-Raptor arm bones are now known to have little bumps on them that represent where the feather would embed itself in the bone. Other raptors have feather impressions around them. I don't think Utahraptor had feathers because it was one of the most primitive raptors.
Now, the large theropods are another story. Yutyrannus had feathers and this makes sense. The tyrannosaurs belonged to the same group of dinosaurs as Velociraptor. Juvenile Tyrannosaurus' probably had feathers as well. Now, members of the carnosaur group probably did not have feathers, with a few exceptions. Concavenator seems to have had quill-feathers on it's arms. If the large carnosaurs had feathers, it was probably only a few on the arms and maybe head.

I want to see the return of Tyrannosaurus and Velociraptor. I like Ceratosaurus a lot and would not mind if it had a bigger role. As far as new dinosaurs go, I think Therizinosaurus would be cool.
ReplySpinoliciousDinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus~Meat Eating BullJul 17, 2013
But the Troodon is just another type on raptor...I just hope they use carno, or something that's just really epic
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumFavorite DromaeosauridJul 17, 2013
I'm not saying it's impossible, but like my Tyrannosaurus size theory, it's just a theory. 99.9 percent of what we "know" about dinosaurs, is theorized. There is very little we truly know.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus~Meat Eating BullJul 17, 2013
I don't know if it is Carno or Tro, it could be neither, and something much different. I don't know.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumFavorite DromaeosauridJul 17, 2013
Well Rex Fan, here is an analogy. You said T. rex could grow up to 50 ft max, we have no proof, but it could. So it also could be that Utahraptor died out later, and Dienonychus came in earlier.

ReplyMakaveli7Jurassic Park ForumDifferent Movie, Different Director?Jul 17, 2013
I like some of Jack Horner's theories and stuff, but some seem rather outlandish and unlikely. Not impossible, but unlikely.
ReplyLord VaderJurassic Park ForumDifferent Movie, Different Director?Jul 17, 2013
Speilberg is a great director. 1 and 2 were amazing, and 3 was good. If they used some of Jack Horner's ideas (Rex being scavenger) and actual facts (Spino being a fish eater) then the movie would have bee boring. I think that Rex should have been the killer, and Spino is a secondary that gets destroyed by Rex in the end, or Spino is the main one, then gets destroyed at the end.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumCeratosaurus vs Therizinosaurus Jul 17, 2013
Same. It's probably my second favorite dinosaur. So underrated.

Ceratosaurus is cool. I think Ceratosaurus should appear in JP4.

It's so hard to say. I just want the movie to come so we can find out, haha
ReplyMakaveli7Dinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus~Meat Eating BullJul 17, 2013
I hope Carnotaurus is the mystery dino for JP4. It's either Carno or Troodon, IMO. Carnotaurus would be cooler, but Troodon is more likely.

Lots of food I guess. S. America at the time was similar. Giganotosaurus, Mapusaurus, Tyrannotitan, Aucasaurus, Abelisaurus, Ekrixsomethingsaurus(hate trying to spell that), Irritator, Oxalaia, etc. Large prey and lots of it is my best guess.
ReplyMakaveli7Dinosaurs ForumThe Story of Cleo, Episode 1: In the Time of the Pharaoh Jul 17, 2013
I wonder why Africa had so many giant predators during the cretaceous: Bahariasaurus, Spinosaurus, Sauroniops, Carcharodontosaurus, Sarcosuchus, Suchomimus, etc.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumFavorite DromaeosauridJul 17, 2013
I going by what we know NOW. Not yelling or anything, just stressing my point ;)
We have 1 good skeleton and some other fragments of Utahraptor. Deinonychus is actually one of, if not the, best known raptor yet. There are dozens of Deinonychus skeletons, so we have a pretty good idea of when they lived.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumFavorite DromaeosauridJul 17, 2013
Rex Fan, if I am correct, we have only found one Utahraptor skeleton, and even if we had found more, there still could be a chance that they lasted another few million years. And that Dienonychs showed up earlier than we have found.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumFavorite DromaeosauridJul 17, 2013
Utahraptor first appeared about 126-130 million years ago. They survived until roughly 110-115 million years ago. Right after they died out, about a few million years, Deinonychus showed up. Give or take a few million years that is.
All raptors were smarter than T-rex. T-rex was the smartest large theropod. This excludes the large raptors because, well, they ARE raptors after-all.

It looked alright when I first saw it, but turned out differently when I posted it. Glad you liked it.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumFavorite DromaeosauridJul 17, 2013
Well, do we know when Utahraptor died out, or just when they lived? And I think that Utahraptor, though not the smartest, is still smarter than the next best thing, T. rex.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumCeratosaurus vs Therizinosaurus Jul 17, 2013
Great job on this. That first therazinosaurus pic was cool and very strange.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumFavorite DromaeosauridJul 17, 2013
I don't think Utahraptor was the smartest. It would have been smart, but remember, it was a pretty early raptor. Would have been somewhat primitive compared to say, Velociraptor or Deinonychus.
PS- Many people think that Deinonychus and Utahraptor lived at the same time. Deinonychus actually lived a few million years after Utahraptor did. Not much later, but later nonetheless.
ReplyRex Fan 684Jurassic Park ForumDifferent Movie, Different Director?Jul 17, 2013
It was also much shorter. The first two were better, but the third was good. I can't really think of anything you did not already put though. You're right, Spielburg did not direct number 3. That almost certainly has something to do with it. Plus they listened to Jack Horner too much I think ;)
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumCarnotaurus~Meat Eating BullJul 17, 2013
Disney was actually going to use Tyrannosaurus, but Carnotaurus was discovered while they were making the movie, so to honor the new discovery, they used Carno. Now, they kept it T-rex sized, but still a pretty cool dinosaur.
