Either way, Tyrannosaurus' close relative Albertosaurus and the other tyrannosaur Yutyrannus have been found in groups. More primitive carnivores like Mapusaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Allosaurus are often said to be pack hunters. Why not the more advanced Tyrannosaurus which has been found in family groups composed of juveniles and adults?

Based on this information, Amphocoelias. If it is the mid to lower estimates for it though, then Ultrasauros (Brachiosaur).

He is team Spino just checked, his cover pic is pretty cool, just saw his forum signature "Spinosaurus... The Real King of The Dinosaurs", and he has the same profile pic as FACT DUDE.

What do mean "No evidence of pack hunting"? There actually is evidence that Rex hunted in family groups. And for intelligence, I'm pretty sure I remember hearing it was in the ballpark of a Newborn kitten. You didn't give Rex as much credit as you should have. There truly is no evidence that Spino hunted in packs.
The debate is pretty much dead however, and all you've done is pretty much nothing for our opinions.

RexKiller
When we say "Spino is light", that is in comparison to size.
"Rex was really stronger", is means pound for pound.
Don't know what to say about the sail, maybe it did affect agility slightly.
"Spino's bite force was low", in comparison to Rex's. In my opinion (there it is, opinion), Rex's bite force would not exceed 7 tons.
"We'll never know for sure", is pretty self explanatory.
"In my opinion", is also pretty self explanatory. Some people can think that Rex would win more often than not, some people can think that Spino would win more often then not. It's all just opinions.

This was totally biased, we WILL never know who wins against who because
A) we didn't live 65 million years ago
B) They didn't live on the same continent, Spino living on South America, T-Rex living on North America
T-Rex had a lot more competition than what you gave, it had lots of challenges with Triceratops Anklyosaurs (forgive me if I misspelled that) Those Herbivores were extremely hard to kill and were considered to be the most advanced Herbivores ever, with Triceratops deadly 2 horns, and Anklyosaurs armor and deadly tail it had. Considering your title is "Spinobro" you completely was biased to Spino. Yes Spino was Bigger than a Rex, but that doesn't mean it would win because of that. The T-rex would win a lot more than you gave it credit for. I say the T-rex wins 65% to 35% for the spino if I had to give my ratio.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumMegaraptor vs AbelisaurusAug 16, 2013
Nice fight. I'm predicting Kelmayisaurus for the next fight. Only because of size and power. Sure, Abelisaurus was larger and stronger than Megaraptor, but this size difference is quite significant.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumSomething Strange About T-RexAug 16, 2013
Mutations. Perhaps inbreeding on occasion caused strange things to happen. Unlikely, but every possibility needs to be examined.
RexKiller, that's probably where he got it. But that's one reason why I hate that theory so much. He's most likely going by 1 specimen. Not the species as a whole.
ReplyLord VaderDinosaurs ForumSpinosaurus vs. Tyrannosaurus RexAug 16, 2013
Rex Fan is right.
You're right RexKiller, there probably will be people who say what you just listed. Thing is though, if people don't say "In my opinion" or something similar, it makes some of the fans mad.

Oh RexKiller, I thought you were a Spino fan who could see that Rex could win ;)
And 50 ft Tyrannosaurus' is possible. There's been supposed 50 footers for years now. There has to be some truth in that or else it would never have been brought up so much.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumSpinosaurus vs. Tyrannosaurus RexAug 16, 2013
Let's get something straight, this topic has been done over and over again. At this point, you're basically beating a dead horse.
The end result is always the same. Most agree that T-rex would win more often, with Spino coming out on top once and a while. I'm not gonna bother getting into facts and theories. We all know them at this point. In my opinion, Tyrannosaurus would win 60-65 percent of the time and Spinosaurus would win about 35-40 percent of the time.

I'm plotting the next DinoBrawl right now. Still in the pre-writing stages. Not sure who the contestants will be, how many there will be, what they'll be fighting for, where they'll be fighting, etc.. Just kind of know that it will happen.
ReplyDinoFightsDinosaurs ForumMegaraptor vs AbelisaurusAug 16, 2013
Oh hey they are!
They're pretty much the only two decent and accurate pictures I could find. Abelisaurus was a hard one to find a good picture for too.
ReplyRexKillerDinosaurs ForumMegaraptor vs AbelisaurusAug 16, 2013
After looking at this post twice I noticed the two Megaraptor pictures are the same.
Also, I bet Kelmayisaurus wins the next fight.
ReplyRexKillerDinosaurs ForumSpinosaurus vs. Tyrannosaurus RexAug 16, 2013
While all of the evidence points towards Spino winning expect to get some
"I disagree, Rex would win"
"Spino was actually pretty light"
" Rex was really stronger"
" Spino was unagile because of its sail"
"Spino's bite was low, Rex had a bite of up to 9 tons"
"IN MY OPINION, JUST MY OPINION"
And "We'll never know for sure".
A few people might agree Spino would win, but most will say Rex does due to bite, strength, size and agility. Only the first of those is even accurate. No 50 foot T. rex exist.
ReplyRexKillerJurassic Park Games ForumPrimal CarnageAug 16, 2013
Meh. Fight was better but outcome sucked balls. That's from when UCMP was still considered a "Mega Rex" 50 feet long. Now it's known as sue sized or smaller and no Rex over 41 feet is known.
ReplyRexKillerDinosaurs ForumSomething Strange About T-RexAug 16, 2013
Maybe it's because there are tons of different species like with Allosaurus or Megalosaurus.
Isn't the "Devil Rex" where jack horner got his scavenger theory from? If it is then it makes sense because it does sort of seem like a scavenger: slow, bad eyes, useless arms, good smell, etc. Devil rex is possibly a scavenger.
ReplyRexKillerDinosaurs ForumSpinosaurus vs. Tyrannosaurus RexAug 16, 2013
I do agree with you but Tyrannosaurus hasn't lost its crown as king.
Spinosaurus gets its own branch of royalty- The Pharaoh.
Spino is vastly underrated by Rex fans that claim it was light, inflexible, had weak jaws and wasn't as powerful as Tyrannosaurus. It was over 20 feet tall assuming it had legs like those of other spinosaurs. Its claws themselves could be lethal due to both size, sharpness, and force they could be swung with.

The only advantage T. rex had was bite and even then Spino's bite was lethal. It's like choosing between getting sat on by a forest elephant covered in crocodile teeth or bush elephant covered in serrated rail road spikes. You're going to very likely die either way. Spino could grapple and slash as well as see very well and likely had armor to protect itself from the deadly animals it shared its habitat with. It was just too big.
Also, intelligence isn't a determining factor because even the smartest dinosaur (Troodon) was only as smart as today's average mammals. Somewhere between opossums and house cats.
T. rex had a small cerebrum (the part of the brain used for thinking) and it looked and was proportioned like an alligator's brain in relation to skull and body. Thus, Tyrannosaurus rex was about as smart as a modern day american alligator. Not stupid but not smart enough to have an advantage.
The only prey I can see Spino taking as big or bigger than itself is Aegyptosaurus, Sarcosuchus, Young Paralititan or maybe some other sauropods that were smallish.
Definitely preyed on Ouranosaurus and Stomatosuchus on a daily basis though on top of sharks and other stuff.

We Canadians take our national heritage and history very seriously. Some may take it too seriously though.
Another museum is the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. I have been there, and they have a T-Rex skeleton.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumSomething Strange About T-RexAug 15, 2013
Albertosaurus was not as advanced as T-rex. Tyrannosaurus was the pinnacle of the tyrannosaur family, and no offence to any other giant predatory dinosaurs, the pinnacle of large theropods in general. Now, I'm not saying that's the reason, just pointing it out.

I hope you mean thicker teeth than other allosaurs because the only dinosaur that had teeth thicker than a tyrannosaurs, was another tyrannosaur.
I would say Yangchuanosaurus had a bite force comparable to that of Ekrixinatosaurus or Allosaurus. Tyrannotitan probably had a bite force comparable to that of Daspletosaurus or Spinosaurus.

My Idea: Select your dinosaur, you can choose a Carnivore at first including (Spino, Carno, Giga, Rex, raptor, troodon, etc) You start out in your lair as a juvenile surrondedby your siblings and mother. A short video will occur of you leaving the nest. You start small and work your way up the food chain. Random bosses, carnivores and herbivores will spawn and breed throughout a multiplayer 3D world. If you ever defeat a certain (or amount) boss you can unlock new dinosaurs and herbivores. A sequel to this game could be a aquatic version.

I think the producers could have focused more on the dinosaurs and less on the drama. Though the lay-out was nice and the story was entertaining, sometimes I forgot I was playing JP...if that makes any sense.

I quite enjoyed Drumheller museum. But then again I would go to Drumheller just to walk on the side-walk. This place is so famous for fossils, that they decided to represent to town by dinosaurs. Examples: The garbage cans have dinosaurs painted on them, statues of dinosaurs are absolutely everywhere and every where you look there is a dinosaur gift shop somewhere. The museum on the other hand is flawless though I don't quite care for the Sauropod's pose, it's head almost touching the large unnecessary lights on the roof. Being a fan a natural history I have never actually been to a official Natural History museum. But on that note Canada isn't exactly known for any kind of NaturualHistory, except for a few dinosaurs and that's about it.

I've only been to one or two museums, one of them only had a T. rex skeleton and the jaws of a Megalodon. The other, I really can't remember. I want to go to the history museum in Berkeley, but it really isn't a museum, more of a fossil storage and reahserch facility. But it does have the largest collection of fossils in the world, or at least one of the biggest. There is another Mueseum where I can't remember, but it has the dinosaurs dug up in Africa. Ie, Carcharadontosaurus, Spinosaurus, Bahariasaurus, Suchomimus, Deltadromeus, along with other things. I bet that is where someone could find a Phobodon skeleton, or at least some info on it.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumSomething Strange About T-RexAug 15, 2013
I don't know. Maybe it was just a variant dinosaur. Just like how humans can vary greatly, maybe T. rex could to. It was one of the more advanced dinosaurs. If this is so, then i wonder why it doesn't apply to the other tyrannosaurs like Albertosaurus. A lot of their fossils have been found.
ReplyNo longer activeDinosaurs ForumSomething Strange About T-RexAug 15, 2013
Yeah but Allosaurus lived all the way from western North America to Europe to Africa and it didn't even have this much variance.
