A story by TVR
Part 1: The End
The sun shined high in the sky above the land of Hell Creek. Herds of Triceratops, Edmontosaurus, and Alamosaurus grazed in the floodplains of what is now South Dakota. However, unbeknownst to the herbivores, stalking them was a family, of the most powerful predator alive - Tyrannosaurus rex.
The alpha, was the largest theropod ever to walk the Earth. He was resting like a lion in a savanna--his sapphire-blue eyes staring into the sky. His scales were a sky-blue, and his coat of feathers were jet-black, with an electric-blue stripe running down the length of his body on each side. Scars from his many battles were on almost every part of his body. This Rex was fifty-five feet long, twenty feet tall, and weighed sixteen tons--dwarfing all but the largest of his species.
His mate, the alpha female, was covered in brown and white feathers. Like her mate, she, too, had many battle scars. She was fifty feet long, seventeen feet tall, and yielded fourteen tons of weight; she would've been fifteen tons had she not been a female, which were typically smaller than their male counterparts.
The alpha-female's brother was smaller, and rather thin for his species. He was covered in green scales and feathers, and was forty feet long and fourteen feet tall. He weighed 7.8 tons. This individual was a father, and nudged his mate--the mother of their offspring.
The mother Rex was covered in jet-black scales and feathers, a dominant trait in her family, as she was the sister of the alpha-male. However, she had no blue on her body, and had red spots on top of her neck. She measured forty-three feet long, stood sixteen feet tall, and weighed eight tons. The two Rex, along with their alphas, were eating, oblivious to the actions of their children.
They were parents of a triplet, which were now fully grown. The youngest was Stan, who took after the gracility of his father. He was thirty-eight feet long, eleven feet tall, and weighed 7.2 tons. His feathers were green, typical in a male Rex, and he had beige scales.
The oldest was Trix, who was forty-one feet long, twelve feet tall, and weighed eight tons. Her feathers were red, and she had tan scales.
The largest and strongest of the three was Sue, who measured forty feet long, thirteen feet tall, and weighed in at 8.4 tons. Her feathers, as well as her scales, were brown with some black stripes.
The three Rex were play-fighting to enhance their skills. They were so focused on each-other that they failed to notice a bright light streaking through the sky. However, they did feel the ground rumble as the meteor smashed into the planet. The three siblings saw a massive cloud of super-heated dust and ash heading in their direction. They had no time to react; they fled, as did their pack-mates, but the two groups were heading in different directions. The siblings ran for hours, with no apparent hope of surviving this event as the cloud consumed them--and all went black.

Sue woke up with a start, breathing heavily. She looked around, examining the interior of the cave in which she, Stan, and Trix resided. Her siblings were still resting, and Sue, shaken by her nightmare of their separation from their pack, decided to stay awake and watch over her siblings. Trix and Stan awoke, and Sue chirped to them, saying it was time to go.
The three exited the cave, stepping into a scorched land, ravaged by wildfires. They trekked through the once beautiful wetlands, arriving at the foot of a hill. They stood in front of a juvenile Tyrannosaurus, who appeared to be unconscious. His eyes were closed, and he had beige scales, and green feathers with a red hue. He was forty feet long and twelve feet tall. There was something special about this particular animal. Sue trilled to Trix and Stan, telling them that this unknown Rex was not important to their survival, and left.
As the three T.rex hiked through the land, fear began to settle into their minds--can they survive, the end?
Part 2: Journey in a Ruined Land
The trio of tyrants walked through the quiet land, which was darkened by the layer of ash blocking out the sun. Fallen trees littered the once lush floodplains; a tsunami had ravaged North America, another problem from the meteor. Not finding anything, they started to return to their cave--but a scent filled their nostrils--that of another T.rex, an alpha. Sue knew they wouldn't win, and told Stan and Trix they would have to move out if they were to survive.
For the next few hours, they searched the plateau for food, coming across an entire herd of dead Edmontosaurus. The bodies all had deep slash marks, and the corpse closest to Trix had its jugular vein torn out. Stan cooed, for he did not know of a predator that could do this; Rex killed with their jaws, and the claws of a Dakotaraptor could not make the gashes on the carcasses, for they weren't four-fingered, unlike what the cuts in the Hadrosaurs showed.
However, these three needed to eat, and each T.rex ate one of the bodies. After thoroughly filling their stomachs, they continued exploring the landscape. Suddenly, a psychotic screeching roar caught their attention, and they turned to see a pale-white demonic creature they could not identify, terrorising a pack of Mapusaurus. They watched with fear as the demon killed one of the pack with ease. The fight continued for some time, until a collapsing mesa buried the monster and another of the pack. Sue believed the demon to be dead, as did her brother and sister. They began to make their way out of the desert, when the sounds of footsteps filled their ears.
Trix looked back to see the demon, the Unstoppable Lord if you will, chasing after a green-feathered, beige-scaled Rex. Her intelligent brain recognised the Tyrannosaurus as the same one she, Stan, and Sue had seen lying unconscious. Sue and Stan turned around as well, to see the demon pick up a scent and suddenly change direction. The three Rex detected the scent as well, recognising it as that of the T.rex in their cave.
Sue pressed on, with her siblings following. Stan saw something, and cooed, alerting it to Sue and Trix. The three hinged their thighs next to their torsos, crouching down as they watched an unknown T.rex charge a lone Triceratops and kill it with ease, snapping its neck. The Rex had orange and black scales, and a very light coat of feathers running down his spine. He was massive compared to even Sue--this male was forty-seven feet long, seventeen feet tall, and weighed 10.5 tons. Having no interest in this animal, Trix snorted and left, followed by her two siblings.
The three T.rex pressed on, to see an Abelisaurus running across a volcanic ash-field, with lava erupting from the ground behind the animal, who had a gray-blue, body. There was something very different about it, too. Determining that this animal was unimportant, Sue led Stan and Trix in a different direction.
They came across a female Dakotaraptor, distinguished by its noticably sharp claws, feasting upon a Hadrosaur with her egg close. The carcass was one of many animals that had been killed, and Sue, Stan, and Trix ate three other corpses. Both parties did not mind the presence of the other, for there was enough food for both.
After eating, Sue told her siblings that they would have to make it to the legendary Golden-Land, which they knew of from their uncle, who was born there. Stan and Trix cooed back in agreement, but they knew their journey would be long and arduous--especially with the Unstoppable Lord around.
They wandered through the barren lands, hoping to find their pack-mates somewhere. Stan cooed to Sue, notifying her that he had detected the scents of two Rex. Trix trilled as well, stating that she, too, had found the scent. They tracked it, before coming across two bodies--their parents!
The lifeless bodies of their parents laid on the blackened ground, their feathers charred black. Stan, Trix, and Sue all lowered their heads in honour of their parents, Emerald and Nightblade, the Black Beauty. Sue seemed to take it the hardest, for she threw her head back and bellowed in anguish.
Part 3: Death of a Tyrant
Demoralised by the mere sight of their parents' corpses, Sue, Trix, and Stan laid there for hours on end. After a while, the siblings stood up and decided to split up on a search for food.
Stan had confidence in his ability to make a kill; his slender build was ideal for chasing down prey. He was stalking an Edmontosaurus, and, at the right moment, charged out of the bushes. The Hadrosaur cried out in fear and fled, but Stan easily gained on her and clamped down on her neck, breaking it. He threw the body to the ground and began to eat--but was stopped, by the sound of a demonic cackling.
The male Rex watched in fear, as out of the shadows stepped the pale-white demon, the Unstoppable Lord--Nequit Dominum. Stan's instinct told him to run, which he did, but like a storm--the demon was upon him! Instead of his standard upright posture, Nequit was chasing after him in a normal theropod stance.
Even standing in a lower posture, Dominum was still four feet taller than Stan, at a height of fifteen feet. He swiftly caught up to the Rex, biting down on his throat and throwing him to the ground. Stan could do nothing, as the Unstoppable Lord grabbed him by the throat with his right hand--his four claws piercing his neck. The tyrant couldn't do anything; Stan breathed his last breath as the demon aimed his four-fingered left hand--and thrust his claws through the Rex's throat.
Nequit thew the corpse to the ground, as blood poured from a gaping hole in Stan's throat. Blood stained his dagger-like claws as he resumed his upright stance and left.
Sue trekked through the woodlands, when the roar of a theropod and the bellow of Triceratops filled her ears. She crouched down to see two Carcharodontosaurus attacking a Trike. They were slicing its skin with their sharp teeth, and they appeared to be mates.
The male was a deep red, with black markings. He was the same length and height of the orange and black Rex; forty-seven feet long and seventeen feet tall, but he weighed less than the Rex at nine tons. His mate was forty-six feet long, sixteen feet tall, and 8.5 tons. She had orange-brown scales.
The two Cars seemed to have the advantage, when suddenly, another Trike entered the area. Knowing they could not take on two Triceratops, the two Carcharodontosaurus left.
The two Trikes then made their way out of the area, walking next to each-other. Sue continued to look for a potential meal, picking up the scent of a Triceratops. She came across a lone Trike, named Lane--who did not seem to notice her. Sue used this to her advantage, and charged, snapping her jaws shut around the frill of the herbivore. Lane bellowed as he bucked, shaking his massive skull.
Sue swung her head down with her powerful neck and jaw muscles, leaving deep marks in the bone. However, Lane turned around to face his attacker, aiming his three-foot horns, which curved forward, at Sue's chest. The Rex clamped down on the Trike's right brow horn, but he slipped free and grazed Sue's torso with his horn, spilling blood and breaking four ribs.
The Tyrannosaurus gasped for breath as she was stabbed in the left leg, nearly breaking her fibula. Sue roared before clamping onto the neck of Lane, snapping his throat under 12,800 pounds of force. She couldn't fathom what she had accomplished; placing her foot on the shoulder of Lane, Sue roared in triumph--she, and Trix, may survive the end.
Part 4: Family Reunion
Trix had no luck in finding food, and decided to meet up with Sue. However, she caught sight of the corpse of a Rex, and approached the body--recognising it as none other than her brother, Stan. She noticed the gaping hole in his throat, and knew immediately that the killer was Nequit Dominum. Trix bellowed in sorrow, and despite the pangs of hunger she felt, she refused to cannibalise her brother.
Sue continued to eat the carcass of Lane, when the sound of rustling in the bushes caught her attention. She let out a growl, expecting another theropod to challenge her for the corpse. However, another Rex stepped out of the bushes, revealing herself as Trix. She cooed to Sue that she could not find food, and the two sisters devoured the carcass. Afterwards, Trix chirped that there was something important she needed to show Sue.
Trix led her sister through the forest, eventually coming across the lifeless body of Stan. Filled with anguish, Sue also was able to deduce that Stan's killer was indeed Nequit Dominum. The two Rex lowered their heads, showing respect and honour for their fallen brother. They knew that they stood no chance against the Unstoppable Lord, and could only hope that another theropod killed him, and avenged Stan.
The two sisters continued their journey to Dhahabi'ard, approaching a barren plain. Looking at the area, they watched as an alpha-male Albertosaurus fought an alpha-male Carnotaurus. The Albertosaurus was jade-green in colour, and was thirty-five feet long, and ten feet tall. The Carno was orange, with some black markings, and he was thirty feet long and nine feet tall. There was something destructive about the Carnotaurus--perhaps his name. Trix and Sue watched as the two medium-sized theropods butted heads, and watched the battle from a distance.
However, during the middle of the fight, the ground shook, splitting open between the Albertosaurus and the Carnotaurus. The Abelisaurid was on the side where Trix and Sue were. He and the Alberto headed in opposite directions. Seeing that the battle was over, Sue and Trix continued their trek, unintentionally encountering the Carnotaurus, who bellowed aloud as a result of his fear of Tyrannosaurus.
The Rex sisters had no interest in the Carno, and left him. They continued on their hike, wandering through the devastated landscape. Eventually, they detected the scent of a Triceratops and an Ankylosaurus. Knowing that they could take down a Trike together, Trix and Sue headed in the direction of the smell.
They came across the two herbivores, seeing that both of them were dead, and partially eaten. Trix moved in to eat the Anky, while Sue feasted on the Trike, which had part of its right brow horn bitten off. Both herbivores had the scent of the orange and black Rex they saw a while back.
After eating, the sounds of Rex roars filled their ears, and Trix and Sue returned to the cliff. On the other side, they saw their aunt and uncle, plus the Albertosaurus from before and his family, four Dakotaraptor, and the Carnotaurus facing Nequit Dominum in battle. The two Rex watched as their uncle did battle with the demon, using his prowess as a hunter in his fight. The Lightning Rex was like a thunderstorm in battle, fierce with each and every strike.
Sue and Trix watched the grueling battle, as the Unstoppable Lord overpowered the theropods. However, he was unprepared for the Tyrant Thunderstorm striking back; the Rex bit down on the tail of the demon, ripping it clean off; he threw Nequit over the edge of the cliff, into the ravine below. Trix and Sue believed the demon to be dead, and their brother to be avenged; little did they know.
Before the theropods departed, Sue released a gluttural bellow across the cliff to the Lightning Rex, thanking him. Thunderstorm turned back and chirped to his two nieces, asking where their brother was. Trix cooed that he had avenged Stan. Unable to reunite with their pack, Trix and Sue vanished into the forest.

MemberAllosaurusAug-24-2017 12:22 PMI like it so far, just Difference is not feathered. I'm pretty sure there is no evidence that abelisaurs even were, but also his design in my head has always been featherless.
Good grief.

MemberAllosaurusAug-24-2017 5:46 PMAbelisaurus lived in a time period close to T.rex and in South America. It's not impossible to think that one may have made it to North America at one point, that was my mindset for The End.
Good grief.
