Isla Nublar Apocalypse III

Part 1

Dawn rose over Isla Nublar, the home of the ultimate life forms--the dinosaurs. However, it was not the same island as it was before the rise of the Ultimate Lord. Half the island had been devastated, scorched to a crisp by Ultimus Dominum. Nublar was lucky that he had been slain by the greatest animal the world had ever seen - the Tyrant King of the Dinosaurs, Tyrance. The powerful Tyrannosaurus rex was covered in reddish-brown scales and feathers, measuring fifty-two feet long and eighteen feet tall. His mate, Tyria, nicknamed "Rexy" by the humans, was forty-eight feet long and eighteen feet tall.

The two were not alone; living with them were Thunderstorm and Earthquake. Thunderstorm was an experiment created by the humans called the Lightning Rex--a beast built to rival the Indominus Rex. He was fifty-five feet long and twenty feet tall, making him the largest carnivore ever to walk upon land. Earthquake was slightly smaller, at fifty feet long and eighteen feet tall. As Tyrance and Tyria were perched upon the slope of the island's tallest mountain, these two were watching the other four pack-members.

Among them was the son of Thunderstorm and Earthquake, Tyrannos. He was the exact same size as Tyrance, with the only difference between the two being their colour scheme; Tyrannos was covered in a coat of brown feathers, tinged with white at the edge of the covering. His scales were beige, and he exceeded his father in strength. The feathers on his neck formed a mane if you will, which somewhat protected him from the bites of other theropods. His mate, Tyrannas, was forty-seven feet long and sixteen feet tall. She had the same colours as Tyrannos, with the only difference between the two other than their size being the lack of a mane on Tyrannas.

Tyrannas, who was resting next to her mate, stood up and went over to her siblings--Tyrus and Tyra. Tyra was forty-two feet long and fourteen feet tall, and her brother was forty-four feet long and fifteen feet tall. The eight Tyrannosaurs had recently killed a pack of twelve Giganotosaurus, and were now resting.

Also living in the central area of Isla Nublar were a pack of four Albertosaurus, consisting of two parents and their offspring. The father, Albus, was thirty-five feet long and ten feet tall, and covered in green feathers, with jade-coloured eyes. His mate, Alba, was thirty-three feet long and nine feet tall, and covered in black feathers--although her skull was accented with red markings. Their two offspring, Alborax and Cocoa, were both twenty-seven feet long and the same height as their mother. They had recently won the rights to eat a Pachyrhinosaurus by killing a pack of Gorgosaurus. Unlike most Tyrannosaur packs, they were tightly knit due to their strong familial bond. Blood stained their jaws, but they were not prepared for what was to come.

To the south of the Tyrannosaurs' territory, the dominant predators were not part of the Tyrannosauridae family; rather, they were Carcharodontosaurids--Mapusaurus, to be exact. There was a pack of four, once seven strong. However, three of them had been lost to Ultimus Dominum. Nonetheless, the alpha-male, Earth, had led what was left of his family to peace. He was forty feet long and sixteen feet long, and his mate, Gaia, was thirty-seven feet long and fifteen feet tall. Their two subordinates were the same height, and thirty-five feet long.

Living in Earth's shadow was a Carnotaurus--Destructo. He was thirty feet long and nine feet tall, and covered in orange scales, with black stripings. Destructo picked off the island's smaller herbivores, terrorising the likes of Pachycephalosaurus.

To the east of Earth's domain, and the southwest of Tyrance's territory were six very large and dangerous carnivores. The forests and plains of this portion were dominated by a pair of Carcharodontosaurus. The male, Mako, stretched forty-seven feet long and stood at seventeen feet tall. The female, Sahara, was forty-six feet long and sixteen feet tall. The two were currently eating an Eotriceratops carcass--a large meal they had nearly lost to a Sauroniops. However, Mako, in his sole love for Sahara, had killed the Dark Lord, and claimed the meal and area as his own.

Their territory also consisted of swamps, dominated by four Spinosaurus. There was Fang, the longest theropod. He was sixty feet long and twenty feet tall, large even by his species's standards. His sail increased his height to twenty-seven feet. Venus, his mate, was fifty-four feet long and eighteen feet tall excluding her sail, which made her total height twenty-four feet.

Fang's parents, Egypt and Blossom, also dominated the swamps. Egypt, the Spined Pharaoh, had assisted in Tyrance's battle against Ultimus, although he had nearly lost his life. However, he had indeed lived, and resided in the northeast sector of Isla Nublar. His total length was fifty-five feet, and his height was eighteen feet at the hips, but twenty-seven including his sail. Blossom was fifty-two feet long and the same height at the hips, but her height at her sail was twenty-five feet.

In Earth's territory were a trio of Utahraptors. Their leader, Hawkeye, was the strongest dromaeosaurid ever to walk upon the Earth. He was twenty-five feet long and eight feet tall. His mate, Slash, was the same height but twenty-three feet long. The last member was Red, a female who was six feet tall and twenty feet long. The pack once had four members, but had lost one during a battle against a pack of Dakotaraptors.

And those dromaeosaurids lived in the shadows of Tyrance's mountain. The alpha, Eagle, was sixteen feet long and seven feet tall. His mate, Hawk, was fifteen feet long and six feet tall. The third member, Falcon, was fourteen feet long and stood five feet tall. Next was Claw, who was eight feet tall and sixteen feet long. The final member was her son, Talon, who was also eight feet tall.

These five were currently wandering on the side of the mountain, clambering over large rocks. Their feet left footprints in the soil, and the ground began to shake. Eagle chirped to the other four, and they all stood shoulder-to-shoulder in preparation for the approaching beast.

What approached them was a monster that looked like something out of a Godzilla movie--it stood upright, dragging its tail behind it on the ground. Jagged spikes rose out of the creature's back like the plates of the King of the Monsters. It had long forearms ending in four-clawed hands. Its skull was like that of a demon, bearing two horns above its piercing eyes. The monster, when standing upright, was twenty-five feet tall, and twenty feet when in a theropod stance. The sentient entity merely glared at the Dakotaraptor pack--looking at them as nothing but victims of the killing machine that was himself. He roared at them, as the five dromaeosaurs sprang into action. Eagle and Hawk pounced on his shoulder, as he stepped around in an attempt to regain his footing. In this, he crushed Falcon underfoot, angering the two raptors on his shoulder. Something clicked in their intelligent brains - they had fought an ancestor of this creature sixty-five million years ago.

With his other arm, the demonic creature grabbed Hawk by the tail in his mouth, launching her into the air. She smashed into a boulder, before being swatted by his tail as she fell, shattering her skull. Eagle mourned the death of his mate, and bellowed to Claw and Talon, telling them to get away while he held off the demon. The mother Dakotaraptor looked to a tree, and she, along with her son, began to scale it as the killer of their pack-mates stumbled around. The alpha-male raptor was now slashing at his head, which the giant beast smashed into the tree on top of which the mother and son were perched. It fell over, launching Claw and Talon down a hill. Eagle had been smashed into the tree as well, his spine shattered by the impact. He lay on the ground, paralysed, as he saw the beast approaching him. The monstrous abomination grabbed Eagle's neck and tail in his massive hands--before yanking his forelimbs in opposite directions, ripping him in half. Blood, organs, tissue, and sinew fell onto the ground. Satisfied with his killing spree, the beast left the area--heading for the devastated area of Isla Nublar.

The demon, who had learned to survive on his own, would cause further destruction to the already-devastated island--for he was the Devil Lord.

Part 2: Death of a Pharaoh

The eight Rex were resting, when Tyrance stood up with a loud cluck, signalling that it was time to hunt. He and Tyria led Tyrannos, Tyrannas, Thunderstorm, Earthquake, Tyrus, and Tyra through a forest, coming across a lone Apatosaurus. The trees obscured the tyrants from the sauropod's view--perfect for them. Tyrance charged, grabbing the herbivore by its thin neck, and crushing it effortlessly. It dropped to the forest floor, dead; and the Tyrannosaurs walked in to eat the corpse. The eight Rex tore into the flesh of the carcass, tossing their massive heads and necks back as they swallowed hunks of flesh. After eating, they rested, hinging their large, muscular legs next to their torsos.

Tyrance was awoken by the shaking of the ground beneath him; he looked up to see a herd of Triceratops bellowing at him and his pack. He bellowed to his pack, awakening them and giving the order to leave. However, the herbivores charged at-once, causing the eight Rex to scatter. Tyrance and Tyria retreated into the treeline, as Thunderstorm and Earthquake were separated from them. They were overwhelmed by the sheer number of Triceratops, and left, as Tyrannas, Tyrus, and Tyra ran off in another direction--leaving Tyrannos alone. He was scared for his life, as one Trike charged him, ramming his nasal horn into his side. The ceratopsid swung his head, smashing a horn into the leg of the tyrant, who was sent tumbling down a hill. He lay seemingly dead in the mud, which soaked his feathers.

To the southwest, Destructo was scavenging the carcass of a Stegosaurus. He pulled off pieces of meat, swallowing them as he ate from the herbivore's side and stomach. The Carnotaurus then detected something strange in the air--a scent, reminiscent of that of Ultimus Dominum. His limited intelligence told him that the Ultimate Lord walked once-more; and he fled instinctually, as the demon came into view. He thought back on his childhood--when he hatched from his egg, he was in a cave within a cliff. When he was small, he killed what he could, eating only the ones he needed for sustenance. As he became larger, so did the herbivores he slaughtered, making him a ruthless killing machine. He, was the son of the Ultimate Lord. he, was the Devil Lord - Diabolus Dominum.

His full sentient instincts hadn't kicked in yet--unlike the Dominums before him, he did not release any cackles of glee or experience psychotic breakdowns. Diabolus killed not for fun, but because he could. And now, he ate the corpse of the Stegosaurus, before leaving. Destructo was too scared to even return to the corpse, shaken by what he saw.

Claw and Talon awoke at the foot of the hill they had been sent down, blinking a few times. Their feathers were caked with mud, and they stood up. The two scaled the hill--taken aback by what they saw. The remains of Falcon, Hawk, and Eagle were everywhere, and their intelligent brains knew that they were killed by that demon--the Devil Lord. Claw chirped to her son, vowing that the two would enact their revenge upon Diabolus if they were given the chance, to which Talon nodded in agreement.

Mako and Sahara were hiking through the swamp systems of their territory, the northeastern section of Isla Nublar. The two Carcharodontosaurus were looking for a shady spot to rest, scaring away the smaller creatures.

Diabolus Dominum was wandering aimlessly through Nublar, when he caught a scent that reminded him of, himself. His olfactory bulbs locked onto the smell--bringing him to that very ravine--the one in which his father had perished. Dominum began to rake his claws into the ground, searching for something. His talons dug through the dirt, when at-last, he struck something--someone, long deceased. With his massive claws, Diabolus removed the remaining dirt and debris, coming upon something that should have been forgotten - the Ultimate Lord, Ultimus Dominum. Most of his ribcage was gone, and what did remain of it was charred black, by his own fires. Ultimus's neck was bitten in-half, with twelve-inch tooth marks driving deep into the bone. To Diabolus's knowledge, there was only one animal that could've done this--a Tyrannosaurus rex. He remembered seeing Tyrance once, when he was small. He was different from his pack, and his scent also filled the nostrils of the Devil Lord. There was a third scent, that of an alpha-Spinosaurus. That was the most prominent smell--for the Spined Pharaoh was nearby.

Egypt and Blossom, had locked onto Dominum's scent--and tracked him down. The two Spinosaurus approached him, hissing and swiping their jaws. Diabolus merely cackled, his full demonic instincts awakened. His neck began to swell and expand, as his mouth widened, with an eery glow, as purple as his eyes. A horrible gurgling sound was heard, as fire was blasted from his maw. Dominum swung his skull around wildly, expelling flames in all directions.

Egypt slashed at his neck and torso, spilling blood from Diabolus's wounds. However, he merely regenerated his injuries, to the horror of the Spined Pharaoh. Blossom charged, ramming the demon--but he merely shrugged it off, as he grabbed her by the throat, snapping her neck instantly. He expelled more fire, burning her neck, and decapitating Blossom. Egypt roared in anguish as he ran at the Devil Lord, who sidestepped and swung his body low, into a theropod posture. He closed his jaws around the neck of the Spined Pharaoh as Egypt screamed in agony - but his cries of pain were cut off as he snapped his neck. Satisfied with killing one who had assisted in his father's death, Diabolus threw Egypt's lifeless body down the gorge, as a mudslide covered the rotting carcass. No, this was not good.

Hawkeye, Slash, and Red were resting, but scurried away upon seeing four approaching theropods--the pack of four Mapusaurus. Earth, Gaia, and their two subordinates watched the Utahraptor trio, having no care for them. They were alerted by rustling in the trees, as two Tyrannosaurus rex approached, recognised as Thunderstorm and Earthquake. The two parties stared blankly at each-other, remembering when they had banded together to face the Ultimate Lord a year ago.

Fang and Venus caught sight of the fires, and approached the cliffside. They saw the decapitated remains of Blossom, and deduced that Egypt was dead, too. Fang bellowed in rage-filled anguish, vowing to avenge him. The scent of Diabolus filled his nostrils--and he knew that was the one who had killed Egypt. The two were approached by Mako and Sahara, for they knew of the legend that was Egypt. They stared at the spot where Egypt lay, their heads lowered in honour of the Spinosaurus as Fang and Venus left. After analysing the sight, they, too, returned to their homes.

At the foot of the hill, a true tyrant awakened. Tyrannos's sapphire-blue eyes blinked, as he stood to his feet. For the first time in his life, he was truly alone. He would have to survive on his own, without Thunderstorm and Earthquake to guide him. Tyrannos could feel a scent brush by his olfactory bulbs--his parents! He headed southwest - but would he survive long enough to see them?

Part 3: Alone

Mako and Sahara picked up the scents of three Tyrannosaurus in their territory. They knew the danger of having three predators, especially this species, in their land, and went to defend the territory. The three Rex appeared from the trees--Tyrannas, Tyrus, and Tyra. Mako shivered with fear upon seeing them; the Car knew the danger of these predators. He and Sahara bellowed and hissed at the three, who roared in an attempt to assert their dominance. However, now was not the time for a rival bout--as the Devil Lord approached from the bushes.

The three Rex and two Cars realised they would have to team up to stop Diabolus Dominum--and they did just that. The five theropods stood their ground, roaring at the demon, who merely smirked--before charging. He bit down on Tyra's neck, and, using his long arms, snapped it, before dropping her to the ground. Tyrus, angered by his sister's death, charged Diabolus--only for Dominum to sidestep and rip out his jugular; alas, he, too, fell, dead. Tyrannas, angered at the deaths of her siblings, bit down on the tail of the demon, forcing him to yell aloud. However, he quickly healed himself before turning around and clawing her pelvis. Tyrannas let go as she screamed in pain, before Diabolus grabbed her by the neck and socked her face left and right. He then shoved her to the ground, looking around, only to see that Mako and Sahara had retreated.

A faint whiff brushed by his nostrils, but his acute sense of smell was able to identify the scent as that of four Mapusaurus and two Tyrannosaurus; he remembered the same smells being in the ravine.

Claw and Talon wandered through the forest, coming across four sleeping theropods--the Albertosaurus pack. Albus awoke and roared at them, scaring the two away. He then stood up and stretched his muscles, as his pack did the same. They left in search of a meal, encountering the Tyrant King and Queen. The two Rex dwarfed the smaller Tyrannosaurs, and Tyrance knew that these four were allies of Thunderstorm, so he spared them. Albus, Alba, Alborax, and Cocoa watched the Tyrant Rulers pass by, before resuming their search for food.

Their olfactory bulbs took them to the east, where they saw the corpses of two T.rex. Next to the carcasses were indentations of another Rex, which had presumably gotten away. The four Albertosaurus were never ones to pass up a meal, and began to dig into the corpses.

Hawkeye led Slash and Red through their territory, coming across an Apatosaurus corpse. They immediately began to eat, for they were hungry and had not eaten in a few days. Blood stained their jaws, and Destructo, too, arrived at the corpse. There was no conflict between them, for it was big enough for both parties to eat.

Claw and Talon were now near the outskirts of Tyrance's hunting grounds, part of which had been seared by Diabolus Dominum's fire. They spotted a half-burned Edmontosaurus carcass, and began to eat. The meat was warmer than that of a normal hadrosaurid, but they did not mind, for they were hungry, and had found food.

Tyrance and Tyria had noticed that part of their territory had caught fire, and the two had headed in the direction of the flames. They arrived in the burned portion, with burning trees. The leaves on them were charred out of existence, and the trunks were burned black. The Tyrant King saw a partially-burned Edmontosaurus, being devoured by a Dakotaraptor pair. He bellowed to get their attention, and Claw and Talon immediately fled. They were full, and it's not like they would've stood a chance against two alpha-Tyrannosaurus rex. The two Rex yanked their necks back as they ate, tossing hunks of meat into the backs of their throats.

Fang and Venus sensed that a Tyrannosaurus rex was within their territory, but they did not mind, for they knew that Rex were terrestrial hunters, in contrast to the aquatic lifestyle for which his species was adapted. The two Spinosaurus were resting in shallow river water as Tyrannas passed by, her mind filled with fear; she was in a similar situation to that of Tyrannos--scared, alone, and inexperienced.

The female Tyrannosaurus passed through the swamp in which Fang and Venus were resting, reaching an open plain. She heard rustling from within a nearby forest and bellowed in fear, as the female Carcharodontosaurus from before--Sahara, bolted out of the treeline. The Car roared at the Rex, who, despite her slightly-larger size, was scared for her life. Nonetheless, Tyrannas stood her ground against Sahara. The female Rex was shaking uncontrollably, for this was her first time taking on a theropod without the help of her pack--let alone a fully grown alpha-female Carcharodontosaurus.

Sahara remained calm, for she knew that she had control, and that this Tyrannosaur was alone. She opened her jaws and closed them around the neck of Tyrannas, her blade-like teeth slicing her neck. The tyrant used her larger size to shove the Car off of her, before biting down on her snout. Sahara clucked in pain, before slipping out of Tyrannas's iron grip. She rammed him in the side with her longer and narrower skull, before slashing at her face with her arm claws. The Rex staggered back, shaking her head profusely--as another Car charged out of the trees.

Mako hammered his seven-foot skull into Tyrannas's ribcage, sending her to the ground as she rolled across the floor. She looked dead to the two Carcharodontosaurus, who returned to the forests.

Tyrannos arrived in the land of Earth, but did not see the Mapusaurus yet. He did, however, see a Carnotaurus and three Utahraptors eating an Apatosaurus. His presence scared the four smaller carnivores away, and he was free to eat to his heart's content--however, there was barely any meat left. He looked into the sky, to see that night was closing in; he leaned down next to the carcass, laying down like a lion, before he closed his blue eyes, falling asleep. The next day would see his world turn upside down.
