Fight!
In the eastern forests of Isla Nublar, a hunting team of apex predators were on the prowl. This encompassed two Carcharodontosaurus--the largest predator in this part of the island. The male, Mako, picked up the scent of an herbivore, and cooed to his mate, Sahara. The two headed in the direction of the scent.
What they saw made them quiver with fear--a lone Eotriceratops, grazing in a clearing. The two, despite being intimidated, knew that they had strength in numbers, and headed in. Sahara charged, releasing a deep bellow to the Eotrike, who was too slow to run; she stood her ground, swinging her skull, which beared her massive horns. Sahara snapped her jaws, making mock lunges, before charging for real. She clamped down on the shoulder of the ceratopsid, her serrated teeth slashing through the flesh. Blood gushed down the torso of the giant horned dinosaur, but this wasn't the end of her pain--as Mako charged out of the treeline, flexing his muscles and opening his mouth to the limit. He swung his upper jaw down, impaling his razor-sharp fangs into the neck of the Eotrike. The mere impact was too much for the herbivore's spinal cord; alas, she dropped, dead.
The two apex predators began to feast, when Mako picked up the scent of another dinosaur--one that did not satisfy him. He chirped to his mate, telling her to guard the Eotrike, an order to which she complied. Mako stood up and headed, vanishing into the forest as Sahara watched him. She then heard hisses from multiple animals--and turned her head, to see a pack of four Utahraptor snarling at her. Sahara merely smashed her head into the side of the alpha, sending the theropod flying into a tree. The entire pack, including their leader, fled.

Mako stepped through the forest, coming across a lone predator; a male Sauroniops, named Sauron. The Carc knew the risks of fighting a beast that was essentially equal to him except in size--but he knew that an ambush would give him the upper-hand. However, that would not happen, as the other Carcharodontosaurid saw him and released a threatening bellow. Mako roared back, declaring a battle for this territory.
The two circled each other, with Sauron being slightly intimidated by his opponent's larger size, and dagger-sharp teeth. Mako knew that his size would give him advantage--but still, he knew the risks. The two each stepped back, raking the dirt with the giant talons on their toes - before charging. Mako and Sauron's skulls collided, sending massive tremors through each animal's head. However, both were determined to win the rights for the hunting grounds--and refused to give up. Using his size advantage, Mako shoved Sauron back, into a tree. He then opened his jaws and slammed them shut around his foe's neck.
Sharp, blade-like teeth with serrations similar to those of a shark impaled themselves into Sauron's throat, exploding veins and arteries in a shower of blood--but luckily for him, his jugular vein remained intact. He turned his neck to the side and went with the momentum, shaking Mako off, who yanked his skull back hard--leaving deep gashes in Sauron's neck.
Blood trickled down Sauron's throat, as he faced his attacker--before clamping onto his jaw. Mako yelled in pain, as blood gushed from his snout, staining Sauron's teeth. The Sauroniops then proceeded to slam him into a tree, before slashing at his neck. The Carcharodontosaurus bellowed before pulling his head back, and ripping his head free, although leaving deep gashes in his upper jaw. It would be a scar for life, a reminder of this momentous battle.
Sauron then grabbed Mako by the head with his arms, stabbing his claws into his face, before hurling him into a boulder. He then clamped his jaws around Mako's head, and, using the momentum, combined with his massive 6.5-tonne body, completely obliterated the rock, sending Mako to the ground.
Mako lunged up, grabbing the neck of his attacker, but Sauron slashed at his neck, forcing the Carcharodontosaurus to let go; if he didn't, his jugular vein would've been severed. Enraged, Mako closed his jaws around both of the Sauroniops's arms in one clamp, before jerking his head to the side, tearing them off. Sauron roared in rage-filled agony as blood gushed from the stumps of his forelimbs.
However, he was still not finished, and bit down on Mako's throat, turning and twisting his skull this way and that, attempting to find his jugular vein, and sever it. The shark-toothed killer of the African Sahara believed this to be the end, but then he remembered something, someone - his mate, Sahara. She was the one for whom he cared the most; the whole reason he had gone out alone to kill the attacker threatening their territory. Mako believed that he had failed her as a mate--but this thought merely enraged him, as he roared in anguished rage. Sauron dropped him, a fatal mistake.
Rage-filled adrenaline surged through Mako's veins as he clambered to his feet, biting down at the perfect angle on Sauron's skull--gouging his eyes out. He then threw the Sauroniops to the ground. In a last-ditch effort to survive, Sauron rushed to his feet, running around blindly.
He stumbled over to Sahara and the Eotrike, picking up the scent of the two animals, one dead, the other alive and a threat. Saliva drooled from his mouth, dripping down his teeth and jaws as he headed towards the female Carcharodontosaurus, who bellowed a warning to him, but it was also a cry of fear and one for help.
Without warning, the bloodied and battered Mako sprinted towards his mate, his one true love - Sahara, and the Dark Lord who was going to kill her, Sauron. He stretched his jaws open as far as his muscles would allow, and slammed them down around the neck of his enemy, the knife-sharp teeth lacerating his neck, and reducing it to a bloody mess. Finally, Mako jerked his head back, ripping out Sauron's throat. The dead Carcharodontosaurid stumbled around before collapsing. But it wasn't enough, and Mako grabbed the destroyed neck of his dead rival, before pulling back--ripping his head off. Dropping the lifeless skull to the ground, Mako and Sahara nudged each other, before returning to their meal.
Winner: Mako!
It wasn't his size, sharp claws, or jaws that one him the fight--it was the bond he shared with his mate. When he saw Sauron walking towards her with the intent of killing her and stealing the Eotriceratops carcass, all Hell broke loose.
