Part 7: Peace and Closure

At the top of the fissure, the defeated theropods rested. All of them were battered, bleeding, and broken. However, they needed to ensure that Tyrance had truly defeated Diabolus Dominum. Inside the cavern, the Tyrant Lord had disembowled the Devil Lord's torso with his massive toe-talons, exposing some bones and organs, and was now heading to the back of the cave, where a massive vertebra stuck out. As he passed by the bones of Ultimus Dominum, he crushed them to dust under his feet. Using his massive body, he struck at the layer of rock, cracking it and causing it to crumble. Sweeping away the dust, he gazed upon what he had uncovered.

A massive body, with tall spines rising out of the backbone. Legs designed for both terrestrial and aquatic movement, followed by a long tail. At the front, two long forearms that ended in three-clawed hands. The neck, was broken in half, and the head was two feet away from the rest of the bones. Tyrance knew it could only be one being; the alpha-Spinosaurus Egypt, the former Spined Pharaoh. He closed his eyes, thinking of him. He remembered, facing him for a Triceratops carcass. The legendary semi-aquatic predator was a vicious and merciless fighter in combat. Hanging his head low, the Tyrant Lord released a small coo, thanking him for saving his life from Nequit Dominum, and also filled with guilt; guilt that he had failed to save him from the Unstoppable Lord, and now, failed to save him from the Devil Lord.

Having brought closure to Egypt, the Lord of Predators turned to leave, but was stopped by the figure blocking his way, as his breath was taken. A demolished torso, with visible bones and organs, a broken neck, from which a massive head flimsily hung, with a broken lower-jaw. The Devil Lord walked once more.

Taking a few steps back, Tyrance bellowed to assert his dominance. Diabolus did not even respond, as his sadistic cackles filled the air. Without warning, he charged the Saviour of the World, grabbing him by the head and slamming him into the wall of the ravine, shaking the entire cliff. Small pebbles dropped from the ceiling of the cavern, and outside, rocks of all sizes tumbled into the ravine, smashing into smaller pieces as they hit the ground. The etherial theropod was not hurt by being slammed into the wall, and roared at his enemy. Noxious gas began to pour out of Dominum's gaping mouth, and the Tyrant Lord backed away, inhaling a deep breath. He then clamped down on the demon's throat, the broken neck causing Dominum's head to swing to the side. Tyrance threw the Devil Lord to the ground, surrounding him in the gas-cloud he had created. Diabolus's body did not move, but moaning cackles were heard. His body began to glow purple, as the sounds from his vocal chords became louder. Knowing what was happening, the alpha-rex sprinted to the entrance of the cave, and immediately began ramming it with his shoulder.

The blockade, did not even shake, as he desperately smashed into it, time and time again. The mist began to consume the back of the cave, and was slowly heading towards the Tyrant Lord, who fell back when another slam caused his shoulder to bleed. The gas began to catch up to him, but from the other side, another dinosaur began to ram the blockade--Tyria.

Her strength was not enough to completely shatter it, but she hurled her body into the wall, cracking some of the rocks. She was assisted by Tyrannos, who longed for revenge for his uncle. He had now become the Vengeful Rex, and his body alone was enough to destroy a third of the blockade. However, they were not moving fast enough, and had done all they could. Things seemed hopeless for the Tyrant Lord, whose legs and right-shoulder were numb from pain and exhaustion. The gas was gaining on him, only a few feet from the tip of his tail. Seeing this, the Tyrant Prince stood to his feet, thinking of his parents; they had died for him. The Tyrant King released a bellow, as his siblings entered his mind; he could not die to the descendant of the one who killed them. As the Tyrant Saviour tensed his muscles in preparation for the next charge, he remembered Thunderstorm and Egypt; he could not die to their killer. The Tyrant Lord charged at the blockade, smashing it with all his might as he thought of his mate, Tyria; he had to live for her.

Tyria sang in joy upon seeing her mate, but there was no time to embrace, for now the gas was free from the confines of the cavern in which the Devil Lord lay. Knowing he would be behind her, the Tyrant Lady sprinted up the slope of the fissure. Slinging the body of Thunderstorm over his back, Tyrance clambered up, following his mate. Tyria, upon reaching the top, chirped to Earth; both of them remembered fighting Maledictus Dominum together, 65 million years ago. Just as he made it to the top, fire was blasted out of the maw of Diabolus Dominum, igniting the gas, creating massive explosions that destroyed the cliffside as it crumbled further. The Tyrant Lord and his legion ran away from the crumbling cliff, however, Feather and Gore were not fast enough and fell as it collapsed upon the Devil Lord--destroying him, Ultimus Dominum, Destructo, Giganoctus, and Egypt once and for all.

Earth, Gaia, and their two subordinates hiked north, before arriving at a plain, to the east of Nublar's tallest mountain. Walking over to a lake, the four lay down to rest. As he nudged his mate, Gaia, Earth proudly looked at his family; he had saved them. Gaia closed her eyes, and Earth did the same, remaining close to her. Earth, Gaia, and their two, have survived.

Sahara and Mako pressed on, returning to the costal floodplains that made up their territory. The two alpha-Carcharodontosaurus neck-hugged, before trotting over to the cliffside that overlooked the Pacific Ocean, and resting. Mako let out an assertive bellow, announcing his dominance over this territory. Sahara and Mako, have survived.

To the west of Isla Nublar's largest mountain, the family of five Daspletosaurus were resting. The three juveniles, the offspring the two alpha-Das, fell asleep as their parents, Menace and Dread, looked at them with pride in their eyes; they felt accomplished in having saved their children. Dread and Menace, have survived.

Claw, Eagle, Falcon, and Hawk, despite having broken numerous bones, were able to make it to the foot of the mountain. The four were bleeding and their feathers were slick with mud, but that did not matter to them, for they had made it. They rested in a hollowed-out log, as Claw fell asleep, her head pointed at the mountain. Hawk, Falcon, Eagle, and Claw, have survived.

In the swamps that lie to the east of the four Mapusaurus, Venus and Fang entered. The latter stared at a nest, next to a river leading to a waterfall; this was where he had hatched, and where his mother had raised him, before Ultimus Dominum separated Egypt from them. The two leaned down on either side of the nest, in front of the river. Fang and Venus, have survived.

Finally, the nine rulers of the island hiked up the slope of Isla Nublar's tallest mountain. In the back was Tyrance, still carrying Thunderstorm. Upon reaching the summit, Earthquake chirped to the Tyrant Lord, asking what had happened to her brother. In response, the Lord of Predators lay the Tyrant Thunderstorm gently on the ground, before hanging his head low with a quiet coo. Immediately, the Tyrant Earthquake knew what this meant; she, Tyrannos, Hurricane, Albus, Alba, Alborax, and Cocoa hung their heads low, showing honour to the Lightning Rex. After the small ceremony, the four Albertosaurus lay down with Hurricane and Earthquake, signaling that Cocoa, Alborax, Alba, Albus, Hurricane, Tyrannos, and Earthquake, have survived.

The two rulers of the island were a few metres away, resting like lions. Tyrance's gaze was upon a perch at the edge of the mountain; his throne. Tyria nudged him, encouraging her mate to reclaim his throne. Using his two muscular legs, and his small but powerful arms, the etherial alpha-rex stood to his feet, before making his way up to the perch.

Each step Tyrance took shook the entire island, as he majestically and slowly strode to the perch. Small pebbles fell off the mountain, and every dinosaur on Isla Nublar was looking at him. He stopped when he reached the edge, as the wind blew his feathers back. Closing his eyes, he could feel his parents, Tyranoa and Tyranak, looking down upon him. Opening his eyes, he saw in the sun every dinosaur the Dominums had taken from him; in the forefront, Tyranno and Tyrana, and behind them, Thunderstorm and Egypt. The one, true Lord of the Dinosaurs, the Saviour of the World, threw his head up and opened his massive jaws, unleashing a godly roar that was heard for miles. Every soldier in his legion, Gaia, Earth, their two subordinates, Sahara, Mako, Menace, Dread, their offspring, Hawk, Falcon, Eagle, Claw, Venus, Fang, Cocoa, Alborax, Alba, Albus, Hurricane, Tyrannos, and Earthquake, released their own bellows in response, showing honour and allegiance to their Tyrant Lord - yet his roar still drowned out all of theirs, signaling, that, Tyria, and Tyrance, have survived.
