MemberAllosaurusMay-06-2017 6:14 PMI know Albertosaurus and Dakotaraptor were lower than Spinosaurus on my top ten favourite dinosaurs thread, but times have changed for the following:
I recently became fascinated with the different families of dinosaurs. Tyrannosauridae is my favourite, and I can thank Albertosaurus for putting this into place, since it was the first non-T.rex Tyrannosaur I knew, and the idea of a smaller, slimmer, faster T.rex was intriguing to me.
I recently re-watched Jurassic Park (still my all-time favourite movie), and Dakotaraptor is essentially a real-life JP Velociraptor. I have more sentimental attachment to the Raptors than I do to Spinosaurus because the original JP got me into dinosaurs as a whole.

MemberAllosaurusMay-07-2017 5:41 PMI could only come up with a top 10 if I sat down for about an hour and really thought about it, but some of my favorites are (in no particulat order) Yutyrannus huali, Platecarpus tympaniticus, Utahraptor ostrommaysorum, Dakotaraptor steini, terror birds, Helicoprion, dwarf elephants Dimetrodon, Styracosaurus, and Spinosaurus aegyptiacus

MemberCompsognathusMay-07-2017 6:11 PMNo way I could hit ten, but here are three:
1. Didus Ineptus: the infamous Dodo bird.
(Vo-do-deeyo-dodo-do!)
2. Dinornithidae: the Moa
(As shown above actually being preyed on by the enormous Hasst's Eagle.)
3. Thylacinus Cynocephalus, or Thylacine.
(That striped carnivorous marsupial sometimes referred to as a Tasmanian Wolf, or Tiger.)

MemberCompsognathusMay-25-2017 7:50 AMThanks for sharing the list. I never knew so many fascinating animals got extinct by time. Wish i could have seen wooly mammoth, titanoboa. Seems many reptiles are extinct that birds and mammals.
