S-Rex
MemberCompsognathusFeb-16-2017 7:36 PMYes, this is the Spinosaurus Rex making another spotty gander of this site. I believe that the last time i've made an appearance on here was back in November of 2014. It's hard for me to imagine that it has been over two years since then. If any of you remember, or whoever is left on here, i made a last thread on here exposing myself and coming clean with everything, so i don't feel as if i need to say more. I look at the new discussions from time to time and just marvel at the thought that the regular reply rate was over 20 per thread. And as i look at these new ones, i see that many of you have left or are no longer active.
The fact of the matter is, no, im really not surprised at any level whatsoever. At the very center of what used to make this place so interesting to come onto is that people weren't afraid to say what they needed to or state their thoughts on things. I mean seriously, i couldn't wait to get onto this site when i got home from school or one of my building trades classes to get on here and see what people have posted, commented on or plainly just who's online. I really indulged myself into every word somebody said, whether it be to back them up or turn them down, which isnt news to anybody.
The fact of the matter is, this forum used to be, no joke, the centerpiece of my day. When i first made my Spinosaurus Rex profile, i couldn't be more excited to conversate and banter back and forth with people who had the exact same interest as me! Nobody around where i live has the same interest and depth of knowledge about dinosaurs as i do, so simply put, there is a very small crowd of people that would take the time out of their day to talk about it with me, that is, until i found this site. Through all the arguing and topics we came up with, it gave every single one of the regular attenders a motive to come back on here every day, because accept it or not, that's what made this site worth coming back to. I'm not insinuating violence or hatred to ensue upon people, i mean i'm 19 years old now and have matured to a large percent about what things used to be like, but there just isn't anybody who wants to challenge the opinions and beliefs of another.
I know, i've said enough, and many of who i want to see this won't because of already mentioned reasons. But if there are many new members on here who want to take anything from this, please note the previous paragraph and allow yourself to spark a new flame in this once thriving forum. And, as the title suggests, ask any questions that you may be withholding, and if you would like some advice on anything, feel free to PM me, new people are always welcome.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexFeb-17-2017 4:41 AMThe Jurassic World forums are currently featuring a lull in new topics and replies because the interest levels in the next movie have not even begun yet. We have learned here on Scified that after the release of a movie the forum participation drops quite considerably, picking up again when a new installment usually begins production or when the first trailer is released.
Proof of this can be found over at our Alien Covenant forums, previously known as the Prometheus forums, which have been reignited with many discussions daily with the new movie soon to be released.
Each forum has its dramas, and the Jurassic World forum is no exception. But to think that the forum is experiencing a lull in activity because of some past drama is incredulous - The only members of any forum community that react to any drama that escalates therein are those responsible for the aforementioned drama - as this OP clearly proves. The rest of the community at large; those not involved in said drama don't care about said drama. To keep drama to a minimum we ask in our forum rules that members debate the opinion, not the individual making the opinion, and to avoid engaging such drama inducing members where possible.
