Theropods have to be my favorite as well particularly early theropods and members of coelurosauria (basically Tyrannosaurus, Compsognathus, Therizinosaurus, Gallamimus, Shuvuuia, Oviraptor, Velociraptors, Troodon, and Birds)

"scientists class pteradons as a sub category of dino"

No they don't, the classify them as Pterosaurs which like dinosaurs are members of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avemetatarsalia

also known as Ornithodira

Also the Pterosaurs, Marine reptiles and Dinosaurs may have the same ancestor Archosaur yet evolution split them into different branches. As Xeno said, they are completely different creatures them alone.

the only marine reptile that wasn't an archosaur is the Mosasaurus which is a lepidosaurus (the group that contains snakes and lizards) and the Mesosaurus (basal protoreptiles)

"Whatever floats your boat "

No its not whatever floats my boat, when your talking about dinosaurs you need to get your information right. Pterosaurs are not dinosaurs, they are close relative to dinosaurs as in they share a common ancestors, amphibians are definitely not dinosaurs either since they are not even part of the clade Amniote let alone memers of Sauropsids - Diapsids - Suria - Archosauromorph - Archosauria - Avemetatarsalia - Ornithodira - Dinosauromorpha - Dinosauriformes.

Marine Reptiles are a funny classification since aquatic lifestyles as evolved at least three or four times in reptiles: the basal reptile parareptilia Mesosaurs, the basal diapsid marine reptiles which possibly lead to the evolution of Ichthyosaurs, the archosaurian marine reptiles like certain crocodilians, semi-aquatic dinosaurian Spinosaurus, plesiosaurus and pliosaurus, and lepidosaurian marine reptiles like Mosasaurus, marine iguana, and the sea snake.

Xenotaris,

Your knowledge of dinosaur evolution is extensive, and goes very deep--but sometimes you can let people have their fun with mispronunciations and inaccuracies. Trust me, if I spent my days on the forum fixing the wrong that people set about dinosaurs--I would come off as a jerk most likely, and a know-it-all.

Not saying you are any of those things, you're awesome--but sometimes just let people have their fun. I mean there are some people on the forum that call T.rex, T-Rex still--and others who believe an Allosaurus could defeat a Giganotosaurus and stuff like that. There are quite a few who legitimately believe that Spinosaurus is stronger than T.rex, so--sometimes you gotta just take a step back and let the people be the people lol.

Good grief.

Oh and Xenotaris I am sorry I was wrong about what I wrote but what I meant to say was which do you prefer form the prehistoric era carnivores, herbivores, amphibians or pterosaurs and I live next to a scientist who for research purposes classes pterosaurs as a sub-order of dino so yeah.

Carno everybody knows pterosaurs are not dinosaurs--no need to facilitate conspiracies to support a fraudulent belief. Shiro, you seem to get worried or something whenever anything gets slightly heated--and considering how much you and LT curse, cursing is not banned on the forum.

Good grief.

"[...]favourite category of dino is carnivore, herbivore, pteradons or amphibians"

Just like someone else said, pterosaurs and amphibians are not dinosaurs. Amphibians aren't reptiles at all.

"Oh and wikipeadia is full of some serious horse s**t as anybody can write on it"

That's why it has administrators.

"Oh and Xenotaris no offence but I t seems like you just copy and pasted everything you said"

At least he did some research.
