Hi guys,

As we all already know the park has a Spinosaurus skeleton on display, but looking at it you will realize it doesnt really look like a plaster cast made from fossils ( like the ones on JP1 visitor center looked like ) could it be that the spinosaurus skeleton displayed at JW is not a fossil, but is the actual bones of the spinosaurus from Sorna? i mean it is possible that in the beginning of the movie we are taken back to isla sorna where Masrani global tried to capture the spinosaur but then it proved to be a greater danger than they thought probably killing many men, destroying vehicles so they were forced to kill it.

What do you guys think?

SAURORINTHOIDES - That is an incredibly compelling hypothesis! I had not considered the possibility of the bones being "recent". If your theory proves to be true, that will be extremely interesting! The Spinosaurus from Isla Sorna was in no way, shape or form a pushover! I can only imagine what it would have taken to bring such an imposing and powerful animal down! :)

I enjoy this head cannon a lot, But let me explain a bit of a problem with it.

It's teased that the Masrani Corperation returned to Sorna to secure some "Assests" Granted, that can be anything from Machinery to Specimens.

The Bones could poetentially be recent, Yes... But I think they might just be, Fake. Y'know how in museums the bones are too fragile for physical display, so they make plaster copies of them. I think it might be like that, The Visitor Center in JP1 Just had the bones tinted a shade darker. These bones are just more bright, Perhaps from the resin used in production or the like?

I do in deed like the head cannon though, A continuing motion from the first movie with raptors. But We already see the ACU soldiers getting there rears kicked by a Dinosaur, So, why make it happen multiple times?

Of course... Colin teased something about the Spino. So, We'll never know for a couple more days. But, this is a brilliant head cannon.

Good job,

-Paden

It appears to be the skeleton of the updated version of Spino that fanboys hate with a passion.

After viewing the Comparison shot Provided by @Sci-FiKing25

They are totally different. The JP3 spino was much MUCH larger. Regardless of updates to the fossil record, the Spino From JP3 was Rex size... This feels like, allosaurus size. Too small. Perhaps, Maybe a Juvenile in captivity that died? It doesn't fit in with cannon to be a Bred One. So, It's probably just a normal fossil casting.

I really wish they would just leave the Spinosaurus out if they're going to do nothing good with it. I hate the idea of the T-Rex knocking over the Spinosaurus skeleton, hate it.

Thank you very much guys for your valuable feed backs. :)

X_PADEN_X = Thats exactly why i thought the bones were recent, because they looked bright, of course im not totally sure since ive never seen a dinosaur skeleton plaster cast myself, i thought plaster casts from real fossils would look somewhat like the ones in JP1. :)

As for the ACU soldiers im thinking there was no ACU at all! maybe MASRANI came to sorna with mediocre equipments and a nameless group of armed men, when they failed at capturing the Spinosaur alive and resorted to killing it to prevent it from killing them instead, MASRANI learned from that and made efforts to create an elite unit trained for the sole purpose of capturing their oh so precious assets, so thats why the ACU was founded. :)

I didnt know Masrani global teased that info about going to Isla Sorna, thanks it just made things more interesting, thanks!. :)

SCI-FI KING25 = indeed! the Skeleton is quite different from the JP3 Spinosaur, but also we could just be looking at minor detailing lapses here, i mean after all we already know how physical features (like size, texture, color) tend to change in movies, for example: Smaug the dragon, he was nowhere the same size when he was in laketown as he was inside Erebor when he first met Bilbo. :)

Also, i believe the Spinosaur Skeleton was actually meant to be as big as the JP 3 spinosaur, the photo just makes it look small the skeleton must be at the far back, you know so the camera could capture its full form. :)

DINOZILLA439 = In JP1 we saw a sort of flasback ( i dont know what to call it ) i think we would be treated to something like that in the opening of JW, i think we'll see armed men getting their ass kicked by the spinosaur in their attempt to capture it and in the end they ultimately resorted to killing it to avoid more deaths, just like muldoon did when he ordered his men to shoot the rapture when tazing it failed. :)

Well, I would hate to see it die but at least it would be something.

SAURORNITHOIDES - You are most welcome! This was a very fun hypothesis to consider! :)

DINOZILLA = Well i dont really think you will see it die, in JP1 muldoon just shouted "Shoot her!" then we heard gun shots, it would probably be like that, well obviously not the exact same way since guns probably wont hurt it that much but you got my drift.

Well, I mean I would hate to even know it was killed, being as I was actually quite happy that Spino lived in JP3.

Oh, dont worry pal, nothings been confirmed yet, maybe that wasn't the skeleton of the Spinosaurus from jp3 but is just a replica meant as a tribute to one of the franchise' apex predators who sadly wont be appearing in the film, we dont really know, :)

I agree with Sauronithoides.  She might still be alive on Sorna, and even if she died, it's not her skeleton.  She was much bigger, had a bigger head, had 2 eye crests instead of the one central crest, her sail was more of a sinusoidal curve rather than a parabola, and her forelimbs were much bigger.

For the people who think the skeleton is from the JP3 Spino, I just say this: look at the skull and stop making stupid theories.

As a confirmed Spino fan I will come right out and say that I actually prefer the updated model over the older one. To me it simply makes too much sense and falls right into line with what we do know about Spino but I suspect I may be in the minority on that subject. Oh well, que sera sera.
