MemberCompsognathusAug-15-2014 7:28 AMHow I didn't think of this one, I'll never know...
10. The Land Before Time
This one's more for the kids, haha. Childish, but good for first time dino lovers.
PS- I bet fewer people would watch it withouth that T.rex in the background, lol
9. Journey To The Center Of The Earth(2008)
The 2008 remake had a lot less dinosaur involvement than the original story, but it wasn't too bad a movie. Had some Elasmosaurus show up and an albino Giganotosaurus, so that's a plus.
8. Speckles the Tarbosaurus
The story and concept for this movie were quite good to be honest. However, it had it's somewhat cheesy moments. But like I said, a good story at it's heart.
7. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Like Land Before Time, this one's more for the kids(though I prefer this one over Land Before Time). It had some funny moments and you have to admit, the end scene when "Momma Dino" attacked Rudy and threw him off a cliff was kind of epic.
6. Walking With Dinosaurs
It had some cheesy moments, but like Speckles, it was a good story in the end. Not to mention some amazing CGI. WWD was described as bringing kids what Avatar brought adults. I can see that.
5. Jurassic Park 3
Not a bad movie. Jurassic Park 3 brought us some amazing CGI and action scenes(though the plot was weak). Many don't see it as a good Jurassic Park, but a decent enough movie(much like many G-Fans don't see Zilla as Godzilla, but an OK monster).
4. Godzilla
Didn't expect this one I bet. Viewed by many to be an enormous dinosaur of sorts, Godzilla deserves to be on this list. Even though the 2014 movie is the one being called out in the picture, this can represent the original movies too.
3. The Lost World: Jurassic Park
While most view The Lost World: Jurassic Park as not as good as the original, it was still pretty good. Got to see some good quality CGI and dinosaur action. TLW was a good deal different from the book it was based off of, but a good movie in the end.
2. Dinosaur
Expect to see this one so high up? Well I personally find this movie to be quite good(better than most Disney movies). It was one of the last of the darker, more serious Disney movies(movies like Lion King and such). A good story and some lesser known species featured(Iguanodon and Carnotaurus for example), Dinosaur doesn't get the credit it deserves.
1. Jurassic Park
What else would be number 1? Jurassic Park is based on a very original plot, has fantastic special effects(especially considering it's from 1993), and a great cast as well. I honestly have nothing bad to say about Jurassic Park. And who can forget the iconic music and famous T.rex roar we all know and love?

MemberCompsognathusAug-15-2014 7:47 AMNice list. I would also add The Lost World (1925), old but still a fun movie to watch, and Peter Jacksons King Kong (2005), has some pretty good Dino scenes in it (I know, V-Rex isn't a real Dino).
Honorable mention could also be Land of The Lost (2009), it was a comedy but also had a few good Dinos such as T-Rex, Allosaurus, and Compys. Hadrosaurs are mentioned also but do not get shown.

AdminTyrannosaurus RexAug-24-2014 12:09 AMValley of Gwangi is incredible. I'd put that pretty high up there. The original King Kong, if we're simply counting movies "with dinosaurs".
