The "chinese thief"
Length: 7-8 meters
weight: 1 ton
Danger level: High
This dinosaur was bred from what was originally believed to be Yangchuanosaurus DNA, Sinraptor was a bit of a surprise to the ingen scientists. Contrary to what you may think, Sinraptor is not a true raptor, and is more closely related to Charcharodontosaurus and Giganotosaurus than the infamous velociraptor. A small number of sinraptors live on isla sorna where they thrive on young sauropods and hadrosaurs. They are also extremely agressive and have nearly killed themselves trying to break down fences to attack other dinosaurs and people. They are brown with green and black stripes all over their bodies, with males having bright orange markings on their face and neck. The specimen for this fight is a large female, just over 8 meters long.
Afrovenator:
the "African Hunter"
Length: 8-9 meters
Weight: Unknown
Danger level: Medium
Afrovenators can be found patrolling the waterways on isla sorna, scavenging from the kills of spinosaurs, and ocasionally hunting down small sauropods. They are good swimmers due to their abnormally long arms. They are generally peaceful towards humans, the only exceptions being males during mating season, and mothers whose young are nearby. They are brown to green in colorization, with males having reddish orange stripes along their tail and forearms. The specimen in this fight is an old and
experienced male, who recently lost a territorial dispute with a younger, more energetic adversary.
FIGHT!
A female sinraptor walked along the banks of isla sorna's only major river. She had been tracking a young apatosaur that had become seperated from its herd during a raptor attack nearly a week ago, and was nearing the end of her journey. Her prey was in sight, bleating frantically at an unseen creature on the other side of the river, but she had payed no attention to that, focusing instead on her soon to be meal. she crept up to it, unseen in the trees. Suddenly the wind changed course, andthe apatosaur detected it's unseen assailant, causing it to run off in terror. The sinraptor, not about to let it get away burst from the trees, roaring in frustrationand struck down the apatosaur with a bite to the neck. It then flung it into the air, roaring in victory as it's meal landed with a sickening crunch.
An old Afrovenator had observed the hunt from the other side of the river. He had recently lost his territory, an area rich with food, and had been reduced to scavenging this section of river, which he had had little success with. He had seen the young sauropods only an hour ago and had begun stalking it, hoping for a fresh meal, only for this new foe to come barreling from the trees and take his dinner right out from under his nose. He stealthily moved out from his cover, and began his trek towards his unseen adversary, who was too busy gorging herself to notice him.
The Sinraptor was happily feasting on her kill when she felt a large creature smash into her side, knocking her off of her feet. She quickly recovered and turned to face her attacker, and shrieked at him shaking her body back and forth and rearing up in an attempt to scare off her larger enemy. He crouched down and lifted his tail into the air, bellowing at her. several small dinosaurs and a flock of microraptors quickly scurried away from the two large therapods. They then began to circle eachother, the apatosaurs corpse laying perfectly between them.
The Sinraptor was the first to attack, she mock charged the old dinosaur causing him to lunge upward, hoping to catch her in the neck. She then darted in, biting one of his arms and continuing to run, she wrenched it backwards until is snapped, at which point she dropped it, and turned to face him. He glared at her and began his assault. He swiped at her with his good arm, catching her on the tip of her nose, and then lunged in clamping his jaws around her snout. She growled an began to violently jerk left to right, and broke free of his jaws. They faced eachother again, assesing the damage they had done. The Afrovenator's right arm was bent at an awkward angle, and the Sinraptor had long bloody cuts all along her snout.
Both dinosaurs charged eachother, the sinraptor hoping to bite at her enemy's throat, only to get knocked over by her larger adversary. She landed with a painful crack as her ribs broke, causing some internal bleeding. The Afrovenator emphasized on his success, and kicked at her side, breaking even more ribs. The Sinraptor shrieked in pain and kicked away her foe, rolling to her feet, adrenaline flowing rapidly through her, she went into a blind fury, ramming her enemy with all of the force she had. The larger dinosaur was forced to take several steps backward, or else he would have fallen, but the smaller one was on him again, biting furiously at his neck, she got a good hold.
The afrovenator quickly spun, dragging his foe with him, until she let go. The afrovenator then kicked her to the ground, and she didn't get back up. He stepped on her skull, crushing it just to be safe, then trotted to the apatosaur's corpse, where he collapsed from exhaustion. He awoke the next day, and ate what was left of the apatosaur, before moving on to his previous foe, and comsuming her as well. He swam to the other side of the river, where he then slept, with a full stomach for the first time in days.
Winner.....
Afrovenator!
His superior size and strength, as well as his experience with other predators gave him the upper hand over Sinraptor.
Comments and criticisms welcomed, no recommended Seeing as I am new to this site, and dino-fights in general.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

MemberCompsognathusJun-16-2014 10:00 AMWelcome to the site and good fight. For your first one, it was very well done. Not rooting for either, but it was a good match up. I actually just added Afrovenator to my site not too long ago.

MemberCompsognathusJun-17-2014 12:13 AMGreat fight, and I was rooting for Afrovenator even before the bios and back stories. That just made it all the better. Hope to see more like this to come and great job.
