ISLA SORNA: February 22, 2014
Through the jungles, past the mountains, and cutting through fog on the island where creatures from nightmares and the depths of imagination have been brought forth. Enter in the dinosaurs. Today a Tyrannosaurus rex wanders through the foggy valley, hunting. It is hungry, and should eat something soon. Suddenly he smells something. An animal, and its big. He rushes forward towards the scent, and comes across something mysterious. A building. Its a giant dome, with reinforced bulletproof glass. The glass is filthy and smudged, beyond being see-through. Along the sides are giant letters that spell out ATRIUM Y: Phase 2. The giant predator finds the smell coming from heavily reinforced metal doors. He roars and head-butts them. The doors burst open, and a chill escapes a snow-capped cave. Before he explores the cave, he hears a chirp. He turns around and sees a Pachycephalosaurus. The Tyrannosaur dashes after the herbivore, making the ground tremble with each thunderous step.  Meanwhile a trumpeting can be heard, originating from the heavy doors, and a quick moving form rushes through the cold, dark cave.

A compsognathus scampers through a heavy fog. She dashes after a small bird, and comes upon a huge building. Its Atrium Y. Curious, she checks it out and abandons the bird, and enters the cold dark cave. She steps in snow, and sniffs it, wondering what the strange substance is. Then, she moves on, traveling ever deeper into the cave. Finally, the compy comes to the cave end. She steps over a ridge to find an entire valley, where a whole other type of creatures roam, one she hasn’t ever seen... Many machines pumping out snow fill the rims of the canyon.  There is a thick layer of ice and snow coating the entire canyon. The compsognathus watches as a pride of Smilodon, a pair of Wooly rhino, and herds of Mammoths roam the valley. This was Phase 2 of Jurassic Park. The Ice Age is back...

The small dinosaur hops off the ledge to explore more, but she doesn’t notice the giant foot come down behind her. She jumps down, and heads off. However, she is suddenly snapped into the air and crushed by a giant beak. A powerful set of legs, a feathered body, long neck, and giant beaked head reveals a Terror Bird, with the compsognathus in her mouth. She heads off in search of more food and comes to the cave entrance. It moves to the light and heads out, onto the jungle off Sorna. It is followed by another Terror Bird, and more and more animals start to notice they can escape. Large cats wander out, saber teeth glinting. Soon a pack of Dire wolves too, burst out, escaping into the jungle. A Purassaurus splashes out of its pool nearby the exit of the dome, Wooly Rhinos amble out into the light, and a Bull Mammoth, the largest animal in the dome, exits too. They find this new territory as theirs now. What they don’t know is that the current occupants are just as ferocious, and aren’t giving up their home easily.

The foggy clearing is now a battle ground. The Ice Age animals explore their new home, checking out every new surrounding. All the animals bellows, to claim this new area. The current residents hear this call to battle, and head to the site of the escape. The Dinosaurs and Mammals meet for the first time and immediately form a seething hatred for each other. All of the dinosaurs put aside differences and come together to protect their territory, and the Ice Age do the same, except they’re taking this island. The dinosaurs immediately tell the intentions of the mammals and know that they have to kill every single one they come across.  Both sides are ready for a fight, and none are backing down, whether its to invade or protect, this will go down in blood.

A pair of Terror Birds run through a field chasing Gallimimus. Two Dilophosaurus’ stare at the Terror Birds. Suddenly they rush out with anger, furious that they didn’t care that this was their territory. They shove the birds, and knock them down. The Birds in response, recover and ready for a fight, being extremely aggressive. The theropods get ready to attack, but suddenly the two Titanis’ disappear, splitting up and bolting into the brush. The Dilophosaurs hoot at each other, confused. That’s when the attack comes. The Terror birds rush out from opposite sides, and each head-butt their opponents. The theropods fly through the air and each land on the ground with a thump. The birds screech and rush towards the dinosaurs, ready to finish it. The mated pair looks at each other, and knows what to do. They bite the Terror birds mid-charge. Its only a small bite, but it injects some venom. The Terror birds become disoriented, the small amount of venom coursing through their blood. The dinosaurs recover as the birds get their thoughts together. They face each other again and shriek in perfect unison. One of the Terror birds runs at a Dilophosaurus and kicks her in the chest, knocking the female down. She tramples the dinosaur, crushing her and killing her. The male sees red, fuming with anger, and lunges at the female 10 ft tall bird. He grabs her throat, baring rows of sharp curved teeth, and not only crushes her windpipe, but injects enough venom to give her a slow, long death. The two males, now seething with anger size each other up. The Terror Bird is taller, but the Dilophosaurus weighs more. The Terror bird ruffles his feathers, making him seem bigger and then charges the dinosaur. He swings his heavy beak down trying to smack it on top of the Dilophosaurus’ head. The Dilophosaurus dodges and opens his frill, surprising the bird. Then he scratches the flanks of the bird. The male Terror bird responds by slashing the ribs of the Dilophosaur with a kick. The Dilophosaurus roars and tackles the giant Titanis bird. He grabs the vulnerable throat and injects the venom, paralyzing the bird. He hoots into the fog and starts to eat the bird alive.

Meanwhile, the dire wolf pack goes on the hunt. They have left the clearing and gone into the jungle. They leave the alpha female to tend to the pups. The alpha male leads the pack into a small stretch of forest. They spot some Dryosaurs bounding through the trees, but they are too swift to catch. They decide to move on.
Soon, they come across an old Ingen building. The windows are blown out and the sign hangs loosely in mid air, but the stench of decay lures the Canines in. They are cautious animals. The alpha male goes in first, sniffing the air. The stench of mildew and rotting wood smacks him across the face. The rotting corpses of humans litter the area, mutilated. The flesh is too rotten for them to eat, so the alpha passes it up.
The Alpha male leads the pack through the building, but one straggler sticks to the entrance. As he sniffs a battered jeep, an enormous shape comes from the left. It yanks the canine bodily off the ground and shakes it like a rag-doll. Blood splatters the dented windshield of the jeep, and the creature drops the corpse. He follows the scent if the pack, stalking them.
The pack has reached the rear of the building, and they come across an amazing sight. A large clearing, with a small lake surrounded be thick jungle on all sides. Stegosaurs drink lazily from the water, as Insects drone endlessly.
The Alpha Sees a decaying stegosaur, not 20 feet away. Hungrily, he rushes over to the carcass. He's soon joined by the others, who take their turns feasting. They were so intent on feeding, they failed to notice the female Allosaurus that had been stalking them. The allosaur roared out at the canines, blood dripping from her jaws. The Dire wolves barked at the theropod, and fanned out. One made the mistake of leaping head on at the Theropod. It was unceremoniously swatted to the ground, killed instantly. The fight was on.

Four Dire wolves attacked the Allosaurs legs, while four more ran around, taunting the beast. The Allosaurus knows she is better off picking them off one by one, and as one runs in front of her, she lunges forward. She picks the canine up and slams it to the ground. The alpha sees this, and lunges for her throat. This Wolf was stronger then the rest, and the impact sent the theropod stumbling back. In the process, crushing two Wolves. She swings her head violently to the side, and the Alpha wolf goes flying. He hits a tree, and slumps to the ground. The allosaur moved to finish him off, when the remaining 3 pack members made a makeshift barricade, defending their alpha. They bared their teeth, hair raised on end. The female Allosaurus roared defiantly, but knew the fight wasn't worth it, she has already won. With a dismissive snort, she goes back the way she came, leaving a trail of blood and gore.
The alpha male got shakily to his feet. It was time to return home. But first, he would grab meat for his mate and pups. He walked over to the stegosaur carcass and grabbed part of the liver, then started the long trek back to the clearing.

Back at the swampy lake, a male Purassaurus creeps in the grass and water, when suddenly a female Spinosaurus lunges out of the water, and shoves into the crocodile. The Spinosaurus can smell that this is an animal from Atrium Y, and immediately goes into attack mode, she needs to kill this crocodilian. The crocodile senses the hostility and wants to kill the Spinosaur to get this fishing ground for himself. The Spinosaurus roars as loud as she can and the crocodile hisses in response. The Spinosaurus emerges completely from the water.

The Spinosaurus kicks the crocodile and bites the bony osteoderms, breaking her teeth. He roars and the crocodile snaps at the dinosaur, barely missing. The crocodilian retreats to the water and the Spinosaurus follows. The dinosaur manages to dive deeper, and hits the Purassaurus from the depths, sending it reeling and spinning through the water. The dinosaur manages to shove him back on shore and the crocodile hisses. Suddenly, the Purussaurus snaps at the spinosaur and manages to grab her arm, crushing it instantly.  The Spinosaur howls in agony, and shoves into the crocodile. Despite the struggling of her reptilian opponent the Spinosaurus manages to shove the Purussaurus over onto its back, exposing the soft underbelly. The crocodilian hisses and squirms as the Spinosaurus shreds him to ribbons and rips him apart. The Spinosaurus roars a victory bellow, and the proceeds to lick her wounds and eat.

Nearby, A young bull triceratops is in musth. It's the mating season, and the young bulls are becoming hyper aggressive. He constantly rams his huge horns into the tender bark of the sequoias, shakes his head side to side, turning his frill a bright red, bellows into the noon sky, and repeats the cycle. This got the attention of a nearby pair of Elasmotherium. They looked at the horned beast with a sense of wonderment. The young animal was becoming a nuisance, and the male Elasmotherium walked towards the Ceratopsian.
The Triceratops turned on him immediately. Without warning, the Ceratopsian charged the wooly rhino. Had the Rhino not ran out of the way, he would have been gored. The Elasmotherium pawed the ground, enraged. He bellowed at the Ceratopsian, who was preparing for another charge. Stunned the Triceratops hadn't backed off, he had to dive to the side to avoid being skewered. The younger Elasmotherium had run to its companions side at this time, and was much more ill tempered then the older wooly rhino. As the triceratops prepared for another charge, the young Rhino ran and gored the Triceratops' leg. The Ceratopsian bellowed, and buckled. He limped off, bleeding profusely from the wound.
The two Elasmotherium watch as a pack of Velociraptor follow the injured animal and leave the area. They wanted nothing more of this strange place.

Meanwhile, while the Raptors were out stalking the injured Triceratops, a pride of Smilodon enters their domain. They stalk with no noise and proceed to scent the entire area, staking the land as their own. Their saber-teeth glint, and the take out a nearby Gallimimus for a snack. Meanwhile, the Raptors have arrived, they are full from the hunt, and they watch quietly from the jungle.

They can tell that these are animals from Atrium Y, and immediately know they have to take these intruders out. The Alpha male lets out a small call, then a bark, letting the other Velociraptors know what to do. They split up into groups and surround the Smilodon. A raptor suddenly steps on a twig, and the mammals’ heads snap up, suspicious. The Alpha Male notices the equal size of their pride and his pack. They both have 8 members. That means he has to do it now, or else the element of surprise will be gone.  He lets out a sharp shriek, and the entire pack charges out of the brush.

He jumps out of the bushes and immediately charges at the packs alpha male. The other raptors surround the big cats, and enclose the circle. The Alpha Males bark at each other, ready for a fight. The Smilodon jumps at his opponent, claws out and jaws unhinging, ready to kill. The raptor ducks and kicks the cat. A large gash from the Velociraptors’ claws appears on the side of the Smilodon, as the big cat rolls and falls a couple feet away. It recovers and bares its teeth, and the raptor does likewise. Meanwhile, the other raptors and Smilodon are in an all-out war.

The Smilodon roars at his opponent and hits the Velociraptor with a huge paw, leaving deep gashes in his flanks. The raptor howls and tackles the other alpha male. The enemies roll around, each trying to gain the upper hand.

Finally, the Smilodon manages to swipe his paw at the raptors’ head, sending him reeling. He rolls on the ground and lays.

The Smilodon lunges at the raptor’s jugular, ready for the kill, Saber-teeth shining. The Velociraptor kicks at the last minute, and the sickle claw snaps forward, entering the throat of the big cat, and ending his life. The Alpha male gets up, and shrieks into the foggy sky, then helps his pack finish off the rest of the Saber-toothed cats. In the end, half of his pack is gone, only 4 members remaining. But they have killed the enemies, and the remaining members howl at the sky, as the Alpha Male’s hatchlings emerge, ready to say hello to their father.

Nearby, male Short-faced bear wanders into an old enclosure on a cliff-face, looking for food. He notices a shimmer in the air, but ignores it. He moves off, looking for a suitable meal. What he doesn’t notice, is the place where the air rippled, suddenly reveals a male Carnotaurus, camouflaged against its surroundings. It growls and suddenly disappears again.

The bear is sniffing remains of a dead Amargasaurus when an impact throws the bear a couple feet. The bear recovers to find a 25 ft Carnotaurus baring down on him. The bear swipes his humongous paw, which sends the Carnotaur skidding off to the side. The Carnotaurus roars and vanishes. The bear looks around to tries and see where it went. Suddenly she feels an excruciating pain in her side, and looks down to find a chunk has been taken out of her flank. She bellows in pain, and turns to find the Carnotaurus, suddenly visible, who throws the piece of meat in the air and swallows it. The Carnotaur roars and charges again. The bear sees this and slaps the Carnotaurus on the side, leaving deep gashes.
The Carnotaurus realizes he can’t camouflage, without being visible now, and roars at the bear.

The bear tries to run away, but the dinosaur easily catches up and kicks the mammal. She tumbles to the side and breaks the fence, exposing the cliff-face. She grunts and stands up to her full height, trying to intimidate the abelisaur. Instead the Bull Carnotaurus sees it as an opportunity, and charges the bear, head-butting her square in the chest. She falls over, dangerously close to the cliff’s edge.

The Carnotaurus shakes off the impact as she gets back up on her hind legs. He charges again, but this time, she sees it coming and hits him with her paw as hard as she can, mid-charge. He tumbles and rolls of the cliff-face, and roars as he falls. The Short-Faced Bear watches him fall to his doom, then moves off. She doesn’t like this new place, but she needs to eat.

Finally, we reach the Mammoth. This Mammoth, like the Triceratops, is in musth. He is a large bull, and the leader of the herd in Atrium Y, who has stayed behind to guard the babies, while the leader checked out the surroundings. However, he has entered musth now and is killing or frightening off anything in his path. He sees a raptor pair and crushes one underfoot, and gores another with its tusks. A juvenile Giganotosaurus is suddenly picked up by the Mammoth’s trunk and thrown against a slab of rock, snapping its neck, and killing it instantly. The elephant trumpets and uproots a tree. But in his unusual rage, he fails to notice the ground start to tremble in a rhythmic beat, almost like footsteps.

The Mammoth heads off into a building that looks similar to Atrium Y, but is larger, darker, and has a jungle biome, instead of an arctic one. One the side are large words spelling out ATRIUM: X, the paint worn. The building is filthy, windows blown out and grimy. Another sign saying "PHASE: 1" creaks back and forth on one hinge. He enters the dark entrance, not knowing what lies beyond, but being in such a fierce mood, not caring. However, he doesn’t notice a giant three-toed foot land on the jungle ground behind him...

The large male moves on through the hallway. The concrete is wet, and water drips from the ceiling. Everywhere the mammoth look lay rotting human remains, torn apart by the dinosaurs. Even the irate Mammoth gets nervous in the eerie building. He sees a Troodon run away, but it rips the hand off of a rotting human skeleton before it goes. The mammoth keeps walking, tusks glinting in the dim light. He enters a large empty room, concrete lining the floors, stained rusty from blood. He trumpets and walks around the circular room. Knocked over chairs and tables litter the outskirts of the giant room. He turns to leave, and nearly crashes into the only predator capable of taking him down. He looks up to find a large male Bull Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its the male that knocked out the doors in the first place, and not only is he hungry, he is sick of this Mammoth’s rampage. He is here to finish what he started.

The mammoth trumpets at the dinosaur, and backs away a little. Bloody drool drips from the tyrannosaur’s jaws and it bares its teeth.

The mammoth immediately shakes its tusks side to side, trying to ward off the predator. The male T. rex is undeterred and grabs one of the tusks, and swings the mammoth around, eventually snapping the tusk off. The mammoth trumpets in pain and swings the other tusk around, stabbing the belly of the Tyrannosaurus rex. He roars and head-butts the mammoth. It loses its footing and lands on one of its knees. However, it quickly recovers, and charges the theropod. They soon end up in a shoving match, and the T. rex is gaining ground. He shoves the mammal against the wall and throws him to the side like a rag-doll. Then the mammoth shoulders the T. rex, breaking some ribs. The theropod, used to the sensation of broken ribs, recovers quickly and roars at the Mammoth.

The Mammoth trumpets and the large room is filled with the deafening sound of the Mammoth’s trumpeting and the Tyrannosaur’s roaring. The loud noise echoes throughout the halls of Atrium X. Then the Mammoth in defense, swings the heavy trunk. It hits home, and makes the T. rex light-headed. The Tyrannosaur roars and shakes it off. The Mammoth swing his remaining tusk, but the T. rex catches it and shoves it to the ground, snapping the end off. The Ice Age mammal swings his tusk again, but the theropod sees it coming and grabs it.

Then the he shoves the prehistoric elephant to the ground, and brings it to its knees. Then the Bull Tyrannosaurus rex, King of Beasts grabs the Wooly Mammoth, leader of great herds, by the skull and bites down decisively, crushing it and killing it instantly. The T. rex drags the dead animal back to the clearing as a storm starts, and roars into the stormy sky, lightning silhouetting the massive predator, massive fangs gleaming. As the roar echoes around the clearing, the remaining Ice Age animals move a little quicker returning to Atrium Y, the King of the Island proving to them, that the Dinosaurs have won...

Yeah, nice job.

Here's a pic I think fits in well too...

(Note the Rex in this pic is based off of the lower estimates, roughly 12 meters long and 3.5 meters tall).
