To end this once and for all about spinosaurus

I know some of you are desperate to be right, but you guys simply cannot accept the facts that spinosaurus was not a weak animal and was in fact actually probably quite strong in terms of snout, and was certainly more solid in this regard than carcharodontosaurus. You guys do not see the facts and only think that spinosaurus' snout was not very strong because "it wass sow mutch smaler in hight and widthe then carcarodontasaurus!" This is wrong! I cannot stress that enough.

By comparing the snouts of carcharodontosaurus and spinosaurus, there is so much that you guys are overlooking. All of the characteristics in spinosaurus point to a high capacity to grip, especially more-so than in carcharodontosaurus. These important characteristics include:

More heavily-constructed rostrum in spinosaurus (it was more compact and was characterized by particularly higher density

Rostrum that, along with its more impressive density and build, was simply better adapted for multidirectional resistance. This flows into the point about a much lessened risk of injury in such gripping; spinosaurus' snout was simple so much better designed for gripping without stress fracturing occurring

Balanced dimensions (this flows into my previous point)

Conical teeth (designed for piercing and gripping, not killing)

Simply compare the two animals' snouts, because I am sick of all this "yoo hav no proofs" crap: http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101003190116/archosauria/images/e/e2/Skulls2.png

Lets continue this in peace,or close it. Godzillasaurus:these are opinions. If you going to talk about it as a fact, show a complete skull. Or you have a time machine and a spinosaur that brought back? And just a note but before we going to talk about the bite force of spino we need the back part of skull.

Quote: these are opinions

---What the hell is wrong with all of you people!? You can't have a full subforum about scientific dinosaur discussion if you claim that everything is an opinion. What do you want to make of that? Decide!

Quote: If you going to talk about it as a fact, show a complete skull.

---I already did this, and when I did so, I compared it to carcharodontosaurus firmly, in which case spinosaurus firmly possessed the more robust snout.

Listen man... With a complete skull i mean a complete fossilized skull. And why you can't accept the fact that this is an opinion/theory.

Yes, a complete skull that is half, if not more, plaster.

you have it's snout. minimal at best. You do not have ANYTHING else for you to claim fact. my god, are you this ignorant? or just a troll Godzillasaurus? we have been over this man....it is your theory. NOT A FACT! quit flaunting your ambiguous theories around when you have not provided proof that they are fact. in fact, you have completely ignored my sources for my claims...stuff that has been actually acknowledged by paleontologists. but you conveniently didn't read it. yes?

This is funny. Someone this stubborn going against multiple others who a different opinion than him that are just as stubborn is kinda funny. I'm having a good time when I'm not mad.

---Edit, I did in fact read it (earlier I couldn't). The problem is that it talks solely about vertical stress, nothing more. It is not inaccurate, just that it has nothing to do with what I am saying. Did I not already acknowledge that carcharodontosaurus' snout was designed for killing and was thus much stronger than spinosaurus' snout vertically? I firmly agree with that source, and it says nothing that contradicts what I am saying.

Guys... Just FYI, we still have a few complete fossil snouts to work with, which just proves that you guys are full of shit even more

Here is the respective study BTW:

http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0065295

Notice how the only place where they could efficiently test the respective spinosaur rostra was the premaxilla of both species; specifically where it would have a relatively high breaking point in spinosaurus?

XD you don't have to download anything buddy.

I have a few problems with your paper. for one, it used jaw FRAGMENTS. not the whole jaw, or even the head. again, all of this is speculative at best.

The authors compared the Spinosaur jaw to gharials...which are mainly fish eaters. Their rostrum isn't robust at all. So the analogy there...is just not good. The Slender snouted crocodile is a poor one too.

The paper...it stated that Spinosaur resistance to stress or whatever is greater then all crocodilian species.....NO REALLY?! when it states that, it negates it earlier in the paper saying SPINOSAURUS had less resistance than a modern day ghraial...Who woulda thought that something as much as 10x a crocodiles size would have a greater...well anything? the paper is a poor source. sorry buddy.

--Well then why can I not read it?

Quote: The authors compared the Spinosaur jaw to gharials...which are mainly fish eaters. Their rostrum isn't robust at all. So the analogy there...is just not good. The Slender snouted crocodile is a poor one too.

---Because slender-snouted crocodilians are the best modern analogies for spinosaurus... Especially species like the false gharial and freshwater crocodile. Oh wait, but they also compared it and baryonyx to the American alligator too. So... yea...

Quote: The paper...it stated that Spinosaur resistance to stress or whatever is greater then all crocodilian species.....NO REALLY?!

-Uh, that is incorrect both scientifically and in terms of what the paper said. Can you tell me where exactly it claimed that?

Quote: the paper is a poor source. sorry buddy.

---I hope you realize that the paper that you posted about a week ago was written by one of the authors of the paper that I posted (Rayfield). You know that, right?

*sigh*  we're going in circles. For gods sake, just stop. my paper actually had accurate stuff in it. What the author was doing when he wrote your paper....i just don't know. MY paper was actually accurate and factual. IT takes effort to read a bloody paper bro. Simply kick on the damn link.
