MemberCompsognathusDec-15-2013 6:02 AMA new abelisaur, related to Majungasaurus, has been discovered this year in Southern France.
It's name is Arcovenator. This 6-7m (20-24ft) long dinosaur lived in the Late Cretaceous period in, as said, south France. It could have preyed on small sauropods, like Ampelosaurus, and it would have competition, from it's relative, Tarascosaurus.
So, an animal very similar to Aucasaurus, but more related to Majungasaurus, as it has been classified as a Majungasaurin.
So, what do you think about it? :D

MemberCompsognathusDec-15-2013 9:26 AMCool. So Arcovenator would be a secondary predator with Tarascosaurus still as the apex predator and Pyroraptor being the small pack hunter. Nice. Complete predatorial lineup now. If that makes sense ;)

MemberCompsognathusDec-15-2013 9:38 AMIt makes RexFan. I wonder if Arcosaurus would "arrive" in Romania too, as Tarascosaurus seems to have done it.

MemberCompsognathusDec-15-2013 9:46 AMWell, it would be cool. I really love Abelisaurs. Hmmm... and that's strange... I used to hate them when younger, due their very short hands, and bulky skulls.
