A life in hell creek-prologue

hello i said i was going to release the story after 2 days and i am but i am going to release the prologue now and i couldn't illustrate any animals because i didn't have time but the story itself will be illustrated It was a bright sunny day 65 million years ago, Back then the world was much more different then it is today, it was a warm and sunny place where herds of triceratops rested in the mud, groups of hadrosaurs were feeding on the bushes around them, Ankylosaurs were munching on the forest floor’s ferns, while giant Alamosaurs fed on the treetops. But this story is about a young Tyrannosaur’s struggles to survive. His parents are the strongest Tyrannosaurs in the forest and are feared by all. The father called “Stan” is watching over the pair’s eggs, (two of which will be our Tyrannosaurs) while the mother called “Sue” is out hunting. Her prey a large hadrosaur is oblivious to the danger; yet he quickly realizes it when Sue spring out of the bushes and gives chase, he runs towards the herd only to panic them. Before he actually reaches the herd she releases an ear-deafening roar which shocks the hadrosaur for a split second, yet that is enough to enable her to catch up to him, allowing her to kill him instantly. Sue is an average sized tyrannosaur measuring 12.6 meters long while Stan is a little longer measuring 12.7 m long, but he is lighter. They have been mates for 3 years now, yet sadly none of their last brood survived. 4 days later and Stan is sleeping, trying to save their energy for their future brood. Sue is trying not to fall asleep in order to protect her eggs; she can’t hold on much longer; but she has got an idea. She circles the entire nest with her body and tail; so if any animal tries to steal them, they would hit her and she would wake up immediately. But some keen eyed opportunists are lurking in the bushes… including a highly intelligent Troodon female. She is trying to steal the pair’s eggs in order to provide nutrients to her yet un-laid eggs. She carefully passes around Stan foot after foot; but she doesn’t know what to do about sue. Her brain however helps her….she jumps in the air and lands on the nest; she then takes one of the eggs and dashes towards the bushes, yet she unwittingly breaks a tree branch on the forest floor. Sue instantly wakes up and gives chase; Sue is determined to get the egg back no matter what. She roars loudly sending the already terrified troodon up a tree. She reaches the tree; she however can’t climb. The Troodon enters an empty borrow in the tree and opens her mouth to start eating before……. The tree shakes violently as the angry Sue is ripping the tree to pieces; the Troodon gets hit violently and has only one thing to do in order to survive... “flee”. She leaves the egg in the tree, jumps in the air and goes running. Fortunately the egg is intact and it is only a matter of time until it hatches. hope you like it, i worked REALLY hard on it and tried to improve my stories in order to make it easier to follow. :)
