That is a good question. Sharks don't float to the surface when they die, so if it is really deep, then it would sink like a rock, and in a couple months to a year, it would have been eaten by underwater scavengers.

1 megladon did evolve in some terms, to smaller average day sharks, But look at humans for example, in evolutionary terms, we were giant apes once, theres still apes today... but there is also humans... 2 Do remember we did not know that giant squid lived until i think the 80s maybe? thats when the first actual sighting and stuff came in, they weren't confirmed as a species until 2000 ish... And even to today we know zip about them... My idea about not knowing their existence is, when they die, they sink to the bottom of the ocean and since they're mostly cartilage, they would soon decompose with only their teeth left... I dunno about you, but they're teeth are kinda small compared to a laptop or computer... These would be very easy to lose as they sink into the sand... Also, it was very deep water they were "spotted" in SOOO I don't think many a persons been down there... We kinda have a lost world incident on our hands... (the book) Until we see one of them wash up on shore we aren't going to have full clarification of what's going on. If they're isolated in this sort of deep shelf, this makes it even HARDER for a corpse to wash up and shore and if it happens a rare occurrence... I bet, within the next 10 years, they will be classified as an ex extinct species, do remember... Great whites were not classified as great whites until sometime during the 20th century

Life cannot be contained, it breaks walls, crashes through barriers sometimes painfully, but uh... Life uh, finds a way

All I'm going to say is that we must consider all the options. Megalodon is one of them. But it's not the only one and we can't say this unknown species is a Megalodon until we know for sure. All we can say is something large and predatory is swimming around in the deep ocean.

And it is attacking boats and whales. I feel so safe to get in the water.

That's something we can all agree on ;) Don't worry, when most people go swimming in the ocean, it's usually too shallow for something that big to get in. Hope that helps a little, haha

I'm just going to assume that it is bad to go out in my boat shaped like a whale, is bleeding bacon, and makes calls that son d like it is hurt. Oh, and swim it around the area where humpback whales are.

I think that would be a bad choice whether or not a giant unknown predator was swimming around ;)

The last thing I would want to do is get into the water with a sixty foot long megalodon which to me would be a hundred more times scarier than any great white. Based on what happened on discovery channel in that episode, I don't know of anything else that could have moved such a large decoy like that whale they made like that. A megalodon is the only one that comes to mind, but who knows, new creatures are being discovered everyday, especially ones that have been thought to have gone extinct millions of years ago (looks at the coelacanth fish).

Documentary was fake, says so at the beginning. Look up any of the "scientists" and you won't find anything about them outside of the documentary.

Well, this was 6 years ago, and usually people don't look up the scientists in a documentary. I kinda forgot how far back I went in the forum's history when I replied to this. The disclaimer was incredibly tiny and only on screen for a few seconds at the beginning. You basically needed a magnifying glass to read it. And some of them were trying to cast some doubt on this (mainly Rex Fan). Most of them have left the site as far as I know, which is really sad. Must have left because life got complicated. The person who posted this made the one post and left. In fact, I might not even be talking to you. You could have left in the time it took for me to notice your reply to this guy's post I accidentally brought back to life. Don't be deterred by this post if you're still here hybrid. Lord Vader (who was back then named Mr. Happy) might still be around, though the last time he was on was a few weeks before I joined the forums (I joined early February of this year, so he may come back). He's a good writer and pretty nice from what I've seen, but I've never actually talked to him myself. Most people were duped by this, and Lord Vader was 13 or 14 if I remember right. I was just a kid back when the doc came out, and many adults were duped too. Of course, almost everyone later found out the doc was a fake, though some (probably none of these people) still think it's real (le sigh). Wait, what was I talking about originally? Anyways, these are incredibly old posts, back when most people thought Spinosaurus held had typical Theropod legs and there was no confusion about it as there is today. If you want a better idea of what the forum is like you should read some of the newer posts people made, or some of the stories written by some of the people here. Lord Vader, Rex Fan, I Meme Everything, Alphadino65, and EmperorGorillaGodzilla have some really interesting stories and most, if not all, are pretty accurate, though some do require to not think about it with extreme logic. In fact, those last three people I mentioned are definitely still here, GG has a new story coming out this summer called Destiny (though it doesn't have anything to do with Dinosaurs, he has 4 different stories dealing with Dinosaurs, which may require some pre-reading of some Dino fights he made to fully understand, but you can get by without them). There are other writers from the Olden days you can find on this sight who were really good at writing fights and stories, like Deltadromeus (who I think left, but you can find his profile here with all his fights and stories) and Dino Fights, who left many years ago sadly. There's plenty of other stuff to read to, like Final Battle Royal, which has some of the best fights ever, and somehow didn't cause any major fighting. In fact, fights on this forum are rare, besides the two Jurassic World Wars which I have been trying to find for a couple months to little avail. The closest I can find were mini battles, a Spino v Carc skull debate which got really heated, but I don't believe that is one of the wars, it has to do with rex v spino, and they both happened prior to Jurassic World coming out. That leaves a two to three year gap to find them. Other than those listed, people on these forums rarely fight, it mainly happened in the early days of the forums. Only good things have happened since. So keep the fact that the forums have changed a lot in 6 years and that this was a time that almost everyone was duped by the documentary, when it was still new when you talk about how people believed this and about the forums. Wait, did that sound a bit hostile. Sorry if it did, not trying to be, and sorry that this comment is too long. If you ever read this.
