The femur is 149 cm or more. By comparison, Sue, the largest T-Rex known, has a femur length of 138 cm. The Giganotosaurus holotype has a femur length of 1 43 centimeters. Some Giganotosaurus fossils suggest a femur length of 150 cm or more. This dinosaur, temporarily dubbed "Deinotyrannus", is quite amazing. The skull is now thought to be that of a Purussaurus due to the proportionate issues it would have with the huge fossils, itself being only 121 cm. Furthermore, a mostly complete tibia has been found that measures longer than the femur. Based on these proportions, the dinosaur was likely a fast runner, and based on the area and immense size, probably a carcharodontosaur. Pictures coming soon.
