MemberCompsognathusJun-11-2013 11:48 AMMost of us already know about Yutyrannus, but I wanted to make a post about it anyways. This will help those who don't know about it get more familiar with the feathered tyrant...

Yutyrannus= 26-30 ft long, 10-13 ft tall, 1.5-2.5 tons
The feathered tyrant was an early tyrannosaur. It holds the record for being the largest animal to have feathers, although dinosaurs like Therizinosaurus and it's cousins may have had feathers, but there is no direct evidence for this. These predators were probably some of the dominant predators in Asia at the time. They were discovered in 2012. The find consisted of an adult, sub-adult, and juvenile. This may show pack behavior. Some think feathered dinosaurs look stupid, especially dinosaurs like Yutyrannus. But trust me, I would not want to mess with the feathered tyrant!

MemberCompsognathusJun-11-2013 11:52 AMI think Yutyrannus is cute. If dinosaurs ever get revived, I want Yutyrannus.

MemberCompsognathusJun-11-2013 11:53 AMMaybe a baby one, but a 26+ foot adult would be another story, haha

MemberCompsognathusJun-11-2013 11:57 AMPerhaps, just make sure you train him not to bite cause they still got a mouthful of teeth. At least they only get to 6-8 ft or so.

It's under the tyrannosaur section which is under the carnivore section

MemberCompsognathusJun-11-2013 12:58 PMThanks, glad you like it. I got the pic from DinoFights' battle between Yutyrannus and Megalosaurus.

MemberCompsognathusJun-11-2013 2:13 PMI can't help it, haha. I made sure to have a nice variety of other dinosaurs. The allosaur group rivals the tyrannosaur one as far as amount of dinos goes.

MemberCompsognathusJun-11-2013 2:19 PMI was thinking of replacing the Tyrannosaurus vs Spinosaurus pic that's on the pages with this...

Nothing against Spino, I really like this pic too though. What do ya think?

MemberTyrannosaurus RexJun-11-2013 3:11 PMThat is a pretty good picture. What you need to do is have a picture of the largest/best known dinosaur of each family when you choose a family. When it stays the same top pic, it kinda throws me off because I have to scroll down (might not be an issue on a computer, but on an iPad it is a little confusing). The website is great though.

MemberCompsognathusJun-11-2013 3:55 PMI understand what ya mean. I decided in the beginning that the T-rex vs Spino pic might work for the home page, but it's kind of temporary for the others. That's gonna take a while to change so I decided to put that off til I have a good, long time to take care of it.
