Based on the dinosaurs profiles, the ones we can see in the film are: T. rex, raptors, Apatosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Gallimimus, I. rex, the two pterosaurs and the Mosasaurus, with the possibility of sewing the Dilophosaurus.  I was hoping to see Pachycephalosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, Baryonyx and Microceratus but based on the schematics I don't think they will be feature in the film.

I believe the majority of JP fans overthink the raptor's differences from each films too much. There's no "subspecies" like sornaensins or nublarensis, the real reason why the raptors change this much is beacause the director wants. Simple. In this new film not only the raptors design changes, pteranodons, stegosaurus, triceratops and even t. rex aswell.

Personally, I don't like this changes, if they wanted too change this much, a sequel is not a good idea, they should reboot the franshise and portrait the dinosaurs more reallistic (yes, I'm talking about feathers, but not only that).

But keeping on topic, the raptors. My favorites are the Lost World's raptors. They look very real, in both looks and behaviour. And we can see differences between males and females like Aphadino65 mentioned. Based on the trailers, Jurassic World's raptors are my least favorite from all films.

@Something Real, as a paleontologist's assistant, I can say that it is not easy.  By what I know, this project would have been extreme. My guess would be a year and a half of work.

ALPHADINO65 - This is very compelling information! I feel that the Aggression Index for each animal is accurate. However, I feel that the I-rex's Aggression Index should read something more along the lines of "Really quite mean and will think nothing of biting your face off in front of your mother and grandmother. Please do not tap or bang on the glass."

Actually, the Rex does appear briefly in the trailer. The shot after the goat when Claire says "Every time we unvail a new attraction, visitor numbers spike", we get a shot behind some people watching and we see the upper jaw and part of the back, as well as hear a growl. It was Rexy without a doubt. Just under a second, but we see the girl. 

Another way they could've obtained the DNA is by a mosquito biting a beached mosaur that was still alive and then having said mosquito get stuck in amber.

Tyrant, we are the Rebellion. Everyone associates 'insurgents' with terrorists. We are not, nor have we ever been, terrorists.

We, the Rebellion, seek a better life for everyone. A world where money is not important. You get sick, a doctor helps you free of charge. You need food, go to the grocery store and get what you need.

I know what you're thinking. That's communism. No, not quite. Communism doesn't work. This is communism 2.0. What's that you ask. Here's what it is.

It's communism, but better. In commie countries, you get what you need, regardless of how much or how little you do. However, this isn't communism, this is communism 2.0, C2 for short.

You see, it works similar to communism, but with some changes. Your I.D. card becomes your credit card. You make 'purchases' depending on how many hours you work and in what time frame. If you work 20 hours a work, that goes on your record. If you choose to get a burger from McDonalds, you don't lose 'points', but you can't purchase any fast food for the rest of the week.

Need a car? Depending on how much you work, you get a selection of vehicles. The less you work, the lower your selection. If you only work 20 hours a week, your choices are small sedans. You work 40 a week, you can get a pickup truck. 60 a week, you can get a muscle car if you so choose. There are restrictions of course. You personally can have two vehicles. If you're married, your spouse has or can get two vehicles. That's four vehicles for a family. You can fill each vehicle on a set time period depending on vehicle size. Small cars, once a week. Larger vehicles, once a month give or take a week.

Everything you do (in terms of obtaining goods, you can have a private life still) is tracked through your I.D. card.

That is what the Rebellion is shooting for, though the DAF is fighting to keep the world in its current, miserable state.

There's a lot of stuff in that trailer that seem to be cut out of context-- Like a lot of trailers. I don't think they're strictly saying the I-Rex is communicating with other species. Looked like he just scared the Pteranodon.

Otherwise, that'd just be another big leap this franchise is taking to seperate it from the original film. Not that it's a bad thing, but Jurassic World is looking less like a Jurassic Park movie and more like a monster movie. They're taking a lot of liberties in concepts with this one that I don't think would have been taken seriously in the original film.

That being said, it's part of the fun so far. Whether or not this movie uses the fun to its advantage and tries not to take itself too seriously has yet to be seen.

And my God, they're really hiding the T-Rex from us. One wonders if it's an ad ploy or if the ole' girl will actually appear.

Good to see you guys as well! And Something Real, yes they found soft tissue and traces of cell data about a year and a half ago in a Tyrannosaurus femur. They were able to conclude it was a pregnant female. :)

Again, Rexy's used to be that high, but was bumped down after the trailer. I believe the Tyrannosaurus is just as dangerous as the 'Raptors. Its just a more widespread destruction, instead of focused "Raptor-like" kills. A Tyrannosaur would more than likely kill just as many people in a group as a small 'Raptor pack would for hunting and territorial reasons.

Also, I agree with Peter Zanetti, except for the killing machines bit on the 'Raptors. Many animals kill other animals for simulation purposes rather than feeding. The social aspect definitely plays a major role in their aggressivity problems, however, as we saw in TLW:JP the 'Raptors are just as aggressive naturally wild bred as in captivity. I believe the Velociraptors have a natural "chase and kill" instinct and stalk prey to show dominance to other species or for simulation. Don't get me wrong. I'm not calling them monsters. I'm saying that they most likely are doing it for many different purposes, mainly for food and instinctual reaction. Or maybe they are just plain overly aggressive. :/ However, how you stated the social aspect of the Tyrannosaur was a very good point.

I dont think there is any reason that the raptors look different in each film other than them being design to look cooler 'this time round' completely ignoring continuity.

There were still female raptors in TLW.  They had the same colour scheme as the JP ones, but no animatronics were made because Spielberg must have wanted more males to be represented.  The one who leaped high in the air and landed on the guy was a female, and the one on the roof who was attacking Sarah was a female, and got into a fight with her brother right after Sarah dragged her off the roof.

The raptors from The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 were on the same island. 1. I think there are several factors that come into play with their looks. The lost world raptors I think are more closely related to the jurassic park raptors in the first movie, the color scheme might be natural like tigers from different regions look different. 2. The raptors from Jurassic Park three look so different because they were the beginning of the genetic hybridization or testing so a different batch of raptors. Maybe the scientists exaggerated the DNA the raptors already had, or added DNA from other dinos we will never know. 3 The reason they look different in lost world and JP3 is that they live on different parts of the island. Lost world raptors live further to the south closer to where the T rex pair territory is. And the JP3 raptors live further north or inland  closer to where the spinosaurus lives. Besides distance, maybe because they are genetically different they don't cross breed.        That's the best I can guess.

Those lines may not necessarily be the same line. But they are strung together here purposefully to create a context.

Omar isn't going to be suprised by Velociraptors communicating with one another. "Something's wrong" makes it seem like what the humans intended to happen is not what's happening.

We assume the Velociraptors are let out in an attempt to find/attack the Indominus rex. We see the humans bunker down a safe distance away from whatever is happening. Clearly they followed the Velociraptors until they "found something" and then stopped, so as not to get too close to the action.

With all of this as our context, the safest assumption is that the I. rex and Velociraptors do indeed begin communicating, and then turn on the humans as a group.

They chase the humans back the way they came (which is why we a raptor attacking a human near the raptor enclosure).

I hope there is a moment where they are congregrate inside a building after all of this, completely at a loss for what to do, and someone (maybe Lowery) says jokingly, "Well, you could always let the Rex out." And Owen and Claire look at each other and decide...that might actually work.

Makes perfect sense to me. I.rex and Velociraptors alike are killing machines. The Tyrannosaur has never been like that. The Tyrannosaur is just a dinosaur. The others are like....monsters.

It has a lot to do with the born in captivity syndrome. Chrichton touched upon this in the Lost World novel. The velociraptors are extremely social animals...and back in their day, they would have been born into a pack from which they learned behavior. None of the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World Velociraptors have had the benefit of learning how to behave from a family of true, natural Velociraptors....thus making them completely untamed, unchecked maniacs. Killing machines.

The I.rex is similar to the Velociraptors in that regard, but with a slew of other variables as well. It is literally insane. Or worse, very sane, and very angry.

Perhaps Tyrannosaurus is (was) less of a socially educated animal, and did not suffer much from the lack of parenting.

Tl;Dr Tyrannosaurus is closest to a normal dinosaur, Velociraptors and I. rex are monsters.

They were on the right track with JP1 females being dull brown color, and JP2 males being the more colorful of the breed. Assimilates to a lot of existing decendents of theirs.

It seems in JW they are intent on making the dinosaurs more colorful to increase public interest.

I pretend JP3 raptors don't exist as they are the least believable, ugliest, and just poorly put together of the entire series. Thankfully, Trevarrow knew to forget about JP3 as well.

I think it's mostly a matter of intelligence and instinct. When the T-rex see you she will probably attack of course but if you get out of her reach she'll try one thing to reach you, maybe two if that's a clever one but in the end she'll probably give up pretty soon and go somewhere else. Except if she's really hungry or to protect territories/babies like Mitchell87 said.

But that's not the case for the raptors and the Indominus who will try mostly many many things to get you, using their brains to find ways to reach you and kill you, sometimes only for fun.

it's because of cloning, They used different dna for new generations of dino's.

So the rapors are upgraded every generation they breed.

I know the raptors from The Lost World were the male verisons of the Nublar raptors.

A theory is that the Raptors from Part I&II and the Raptors of Part III are actually two different kind of breeds. This would also explain the difference in behaviour. The Raptors from Jurassic Park III display more advanced intelligence, communication and hunting methods.

However, the female raptors from Jurassic Park III do look more like the raptors from the other movies. It's also possible that we didn't see the male raptors in the other movies. 

Well I think it also involves what Dr grant said from the first movie. T rex wants to hunt and not be fed. So maybe t rex only is very aggressive when hungry, it's territory is challenged, or its young is in danger. This would be based off the other movies as well.

Rexy's aggression index used to be that high, before the trailer. Not sure why it was bumped down. Maybe the "bigger than the T-Rex" thing? 

But yeah, it probably deals with the power and attributes of the animal. 

i think the aggression lvl for the raptors is based on the fact they are excellent escape artist and are very smart as they are deadley, which is why they are not an attractionatm...

I'm siding with Gojira2k on this, the raptor squad probably would not start communicating with I.rex.  More than this sense that I.rex isn't one of the real "dinosaurs" just like that (what a way to parallel elementary school-yard hierarchy), I bet they can sense that I.rex is an enemy just from knowing her actions.  They could probably tell that she killed at least 5 Apatosaurus, many workmen, smashed a 40-foot tall gate and terrorized the pterosaurs from scent, hearing, even the sight of blood on her hide/claws.

My problem with Profden's theory is that, usually, when captive animals are released into the wild and encounter wild members of their own kind, the wild individuals either shun or attack the newly-feralized individuals as a test of strength/intelligence, etc.  Captive animals simply don't have to ability to survive in the wild among their own kind because they weren't raised wild.
