You'll love the fight, regardless of who wins.
@ Carnosaur, One referring to the musculature surrounding the neck connecting to the bridge of the spine as well, factoring in other components. I can see if I can find it at work tomorrrow and PM if you like.
Btw, love reticulated pythons. Do you own one. I worked with one at my work! (I work at both a zoo and a museum.)
Depends on how it lands though as well.
For example, one time, I was doing donuts on a quad in a muddy field, rolled the quad, flew twenty feet, landed on my shoulder, got up, flipped the quad back on its wheels and drove off, never to mention what happened to anyone. Another time, I fell about seven feet, landed on my feet, stumbled backwards, hit my back on a two by four, and I couldn't stand for twenty minutes.
The factors are endless.
Yay! Im rooting for Cerato all the way! Even if it means death, I will go down with him/her!
I agree with Happy...depends on which situatuion...timing...Vet could rear up and slash, but if he misses, goes early or late, Tarbo will dive in and show how a rex can bite, before you know it, vet's intsestines wil be pouring out and its game over.
And if he tumbles Tarbo will cut him open aswell, if he is exhausted I don't think he would kick, or simply tarbo could go for his neck, his legs arn't that long.
@Gigadino. Exactly! That's what I was meaning to say. Just not as eloquently as you. ;)
My favourite plant eater is likely Tethysadros. I don't tend to consider Ornthomimosaurs as plant eaters, but if we take them in account, my favourite plant eater is Gallimimus. It was my favourite dinosaur until I discovered Giganotosaurus.
Cerato is underrated, no way around it.
That fight that I told you about will be for my two year anniversary, so just wait for March 16, though I'll likely send you a rough draft well before that.
Yes I know. its like getting thrown on your back, how would that feel? But the vet would have enough energy to kick the tarbo away.
I agree with you Mr.Happy, Like I said, either Ceratosaurus is underated or Allosaurus is overated, I think it is just Cerato is underated, However I love Allosaurus but not as much as you know who
@MrHappy: Yes, I know.
@PK: That's because T.rex's bites are stronger. Theropods like Allosaurus didn't need a such strong bite force, because of their big gape. Tyrannosaurids' gape was relatively small if compared to Allosaurus', but it wasn't small as many people say - it's still pretty big.
It is really cool, love its white head and eyes :)
Provided the wind wasn't knocked out of him. Gotta think of all the possible situations.
It would then began kicking wildly and keep the tarbo at bay until he gets to his feet.
it's a pied reticulated python :D
they're definetly some of the neatest animals out there, especially the color paterns they've got these days
Perhaps it is overrated, but more than anything, Cerato is underrated.
Hi there Carnosaur I just wanted to say I really like your profile pic...I like snakes and other reptiles...neat.
No, not immiedietly. If it knocks Vet off balance, Vet could regain balance. If it falls on it's back or side, not quite game over, but probably close.
In my opinnion I think Allosaurus is only the slight bit overated...maybe thats just me...CERATOSAURUS! Sorry...yeah...I sometimes think Ceratosaurus is underrated, or Allosaurus is just overated...but in past couple days, I have heard lots of good stuff of him! I feel on here he is like, but on youtube, I simply typed in ceratosaurus...he loses in almost everything...like those little pivot battles...etc.
He loses in about 14/17 video I watched he won...3 times...rigged
And if the tarbo reaches the vet in time it eould not be game over.
what harvard studies are you referring to?
Actually, no, I wouldn't say that. It's never game over til one stops breathing.
I bet if tarbosaurus biting vet's neck you would say otherwise. And in this case it is game over.
Again, timing is key.
Besides, just because a carnivore is biting another carnivore's neck doesn't mean it's game over.
Geez, guys.
@Gigadino, I agree. It was a different hunting method. I didn't say that other theropods needed it. I just said no known dinosaurs matched it yet.
@Carnosaur. I said that as a maximum. It is a mximum. 6.3 tons seems a bit low based on harvard's studies.
@ TK, Ok. Just wanted to make sure you weren't stating a fact, but your opinion.
i don't see where he gets that figure from...
Ever here of jaws from above? Ya, it will bite the top of the skull or neck of the tarbo as it is charging.
Pretty sure PK was talking bite when he said 15 tons, not weight.
I never said it couldn't bite.
You never know. Timing is key. It could hit, it could miss. If it hits a particularly sensitive spot, yeah, Tarbo will stop. If it hits a not so sensitive spot, Tarbo might not. Besides, ever hear of momentem? If Tarbo's got enough of it, regardless of where Vet slashes, Tarbo's gonna ram him.
7 to 7.5 tons is average for me.
more like ~6.3 tons, sue was the largest confirmed, weighted specimen at 8.4 tons.
It can bite. And it will not miss the big head of the turbo.
15 tons!!!!
no! It was 7.5 tons on average.
^ that's cause 15 tons is too big for tyrannosaurus
Must I give EVERY detail in my opinion?
Yes, it could rear up and start slashing. Still, puts it in a dangerous position, and if it swings a second too late or too early, it's game over.
Rex Fan, gonna have to disagree with your statement regarding Allosaurus. It's not really overrated if you ask me. IMO, Rex is overrated by some, Spino is overrated by some, Giga and Carchar, you guessed it, overrated by some. That's just me though.
Gallimimus
Ornithomimus
Camarasaurus
Amargasaurus
Parasaurolophus
Corythosaurus

In terms of favorite herbivore it’s an honest three way tie between the Hadrosaurs, Sauropods, and the ornithomimosaurs.
My favorite dinosaur would have to be Edmarka Rex. I know it is very fragmented and could just be torvosaurus but, this thing either way was huge! If T.Tanneri was around 2-3 tons and Gurneyi was 3-5, Edmarka must have been like 5-7 (pattern not intended) plus that's where the majority of estimates land for this animal. Plus if you look at it broader, it is a T-rex sized Torvosaurus. Just sit down, get comfortable, and except your fait it's going to happen. I hope more discoveries are made about this incredible animal.
Many Theropods didn't need a strong bite.
15 t sounds too much for a T.rex. Something closer to 6 tonnes sounds much more likely.
