The LimbixJurassic World ForumHerbivores you'd like to see in JP4Aug 7, 2012
Ouransaurus is logical, mostly because of the inclusion of Spinosaurus.
Included in the original books, and in JP3 were some awesome breeds that were only mentioned or seen as part of the scenery. Including ankylosaurus, Maiasaura, Hypsilophodon, Hadrosaurus, Diplodocus... the list does go on for herbivores and I would love to see many of them.
Great idea for a post, many people forget just awesome herbivores are.

Thanks for the welcome Svanya.
A while ago there was some talk with Michael Crichton (before he died), suggesting what BioSyns' intentions were. I think it was something like a game park on the main land where rich hunters could kill for trophies with out worrying about ethics because the animals they were killing were creations.
I will try and find the link to the interview. I mean if they ran with a similar idea at least they wouldn't end up on one of the islands again. Not even the writers, and directors are keen for the islands again.

Yeah the original is the best and the other two movies were great!

And mine are Spinosaurus, Ceratosaurus, T-rex and the smart Velociraptor.
ReplyXenomorph 54Dinosaurs ForumWelcome to Jurassic ParkAug 7, 2012
In a actual confront between T-Rex and Spinosaurus, T-rex would probably win due to its jaw's strenght. Spinosaurus's jaw is weaker because its purpose is to kill small fish not large preys.

@Shambhala Agreed. And I think that crocodile's name is Sarcosuchus.

I would like to see Allosaurus and Giganotosaurus too in a confrontation.
One of them would play the role of T-rex from the other ones.

I have always wondered what would have happened if the competitors had gotten a hold of the samples and grew their own animals. Perhaps they would have used the DNA for medical purposes and caused some sort of human mutation problem. Perhaps set/up a sucessful Park that gets out of hand with the tourists. Endless possibilities for the writers.
I hope the writers don't blow it and this becomes a great movie. I'll be reading your entries with great interest.

It would be awesome if they could change the color of their skin!

good choice, I saw this in Terra Nova, btw, in the novel "The Lost World" the Carnotaurus can change the color of their skin for camouflage.

This would be very exciting, however will they break away from the tried and true Raptors...
In the books there is mention of some water based life that had been created, for example something lives in the pond/lake near the opening scene where the Helicopter lands.

That would be pretty neat. And an interesting perspective as well. Underwater life is fascinating. We still have lots to find down there.
Great post.
