CyberdeathDinosaurs ForumJurassic Park for real...... or just Crazy Clive?Aug 19, 2012
OMG, the took everything you were supposed to learn from the first book by Micheal Chrichton and said f-you, let's do it anyways. In a few years, when you can't go outside because of raptors, i'll say "i told you so".

I forgot all about that! But I was too busy hating freedom by hating freedom haters to remember to write it down. The top down one where you had to collect eggs or some such nonsense and shot dinos with what I imagine was a souped-up cattle-prod? I think I remember it...also JP2 for SNES which looked pretty cool.

I dont know if you knew this Trevor but much like every other game from a movie back then the SNES and Sega versions were two completely different games! So i think you mightve missed out on a little...You freedom hating square!

This could work in a sort of way, it could be an expedition to a new world, a small crew, and they loose contact with Earth, and they have to fend for themselves. Or, Earth's being destroyed by massive earthquakes that are causing the plate tectonics to move rapidly, cities are being destroyed, as people have to escape to different planets, individuals escape in pods. One person escapes, and lands in a jungle planet, little that he knows is that he is not alone. And that he meets other people who landed on the same planet, they each team up in trying to send a beacon to other worlds, as they discover they weren't the first people on this planet, but InGen! OMG!

Sounds good visor97!

Not bad at all. I like that. This kinda reminds me of the movie Alien/Aliens. I love both of those movies. I think this could totally work, and yes we should team up that would be awesome :D
ReplyLuigiJurassic World ForumJurassic Park 4 set on another planet?Aug 15, 2012
Hey there visor97, whoa, you think it's a cool idea? Yay, I ha this idea in the back of my head for a long time, but i thought it wouldn't work. Lol. Hey we should team up and both pitch in ideas.
How about InGen abandons the planet du to being something bad happened. A small group of space travellers loose contact from their home colony Earth, and as they travel through a rough asteroid field they burn an engine, causing them to crashland on te InGen planet. There they have to survive. Since it's the distant future, how about one of the guys in a giant mobile suit fights a T.Rex, and the T.Rex wins. Not bad eh?

I seriously might write a screenplay for that. That is an amazing idea for a movie. They could do a new series of Jurassic Park movies off of that.
ReplyTyrannoTrevorJurassic World ForumJurassic Park 4 set on another planet?Aug 15, 2012
Sounds like Dino Crisis 3 :/ I love space. I love dinosaurs. I love Space-Dinosaurs. I don' want me no space Jurassic Park. Save that frontier for a different series.

I also got another idea, if what we've learned about the amber and that they got the DNA from their, that it was all a LIE! What if they new how to create dinosaurs with a new discovery, and just covered up telling Dr.Grant and Ian Malcom that, "Oh yeah, for sure we did create dino's with amber." but infact that isn't true! What if Jurassic Park, all the stuff we did learned on how InGen created the dinos were false, and they created them in a different way. MINDBLOWING!!!

Nice, good ideas there ... I think the history of the companies or even some military government level would be interesting, you know something new...

Replydeftones1986Jurassic World ForumJurassic Park 4 should be a sort of a reboot. Aug 15, 2012
Thanks.
It's really just a branch off of your idea because I think you're coming from where everybody else is....I mean how many times are people going to get sucked back into the original islands without it being so corny?
Plus all people ever say is the mosquito thing was proven over and over that it's not possible since the original came out. So why not just run with that whole idea, admit that it was a bad plot line by kind of twisting it around as some hidden conspiracy by Hammond, or maybe somebody he hired along the way tricked HIM into thinking the mosquitos where the root of it all?
Like I said it's all based off your idea but how about lets not reboot the actual events of the original movie, but more or less reboot the IDEA that something else was going on and give the series a real adrenaline shot.
ReplyLuigiJurassic World ForumJurassic Park 4 should be a sort of a reboot. Aug 15, 2012
Actually, that's not a bad idea. That could actually work. I would go to see that.
Replydeftones1986Jurassic World ForumJurassic Park 4 should be a sort of a reboot. Aug 15, 2012
I'd rather see something more like the whole "dinos from mosquitos" turned out to be a lie by Dr. Hammond. He plus a select few of his scientists knew of the actual way they where creating the Dinosaurs.
Something where we can discover that he held a bunch of things secret and so on and so forth, we discover a secret island and we discover there was a more sinister plan from him and the truth comes out of how they where able to make the Dinos.
I think that would work a lot better than a reboot, because you'll never recapture that thrill of the first one, but it could still freshen things up and have suspense to it.
Anyone agree with me?

Thanks guys! I think the best location to shoot a heavily human population is Hawaii, the city, I think that's an easy place to film. I was thinking, if the dinos do terrorize the a city population, the best location would be Honolulu Hawaii or something like that. Didn't Joe Johnston said something about having the series in a total new direction? Maybe have mysterious dinos being spotted in Hawaii, and Malcom and Grant both experience seeing these dinos. What you guys think?
ReplyTyrannoTrevorJurassic World ForumJurassic Park 4 should be a sort of a reboot. Aug 15, 2012
Not fond of the idea...it's already a very modernized series, if not slightly futuristic. Plus, the first two still stick close enough to their source material, and the rest of what you think could be done in an upcoming movie, though, as I've said before, you'd have to find a really good reason the military doesn't just wipe the dinosaurs out when they reach the mainland as it wouldn't be a difficult solution. I would think a different mainland would work better, like in Costa Rica or one of it's nearby inhabited islands. Then you have dinosaurs in a populated area, but not one that's of absolute necessity for governments to take major concern in. In the Lost World book I believe, there's situations of dead dinosaurs washing up on the shores and even rumors of some getting off the island. Namely Procompsognathus, and the raptors were on their way to sneaking off on a departing boat at the end of the Jurassic Park book. Giving it too much of an urban chaos setting would just make it seem like one of those cheesy B-list Scyfy movies. But a small island town or village...now that's workable material...

No problemo Shawluv! I still have a beat up Genesis, so I play it occasionally and it's still tons of fun. And Chris, you definitely should! I sold my last two copies because I thought I was bored of it, but it keeps you coming back for more. Sometimes you just get the craving to build your own island. And maybe tear down a fence or two and see what happens...I'm a malevolent park designer bwahahaha! I personally would like to see a RPG that takes place on one of the islands where surviving is pretty much your main goal using only what little is left on the island. Kind of like Trespasser (another awesome one I forgot to mention!). Probably never gonna happen, but a boy can dream can't he?

Welcome to JP4Movie.net Luigi, great discussion by the way! I too like the idea of bringing back Malcolm and Grant. Without either of those two, Jurassic Park just isn't the same.
As for the story, it's an interesting concept and certainly a starting-off point to begin speculating on.
Personally, I've been thinking of how a JP4 could start for the past 9 years. I think at the end of JP3 when they pan out to see the Pteranodons leaving the island it kind of sets up the fourth film to have to deal with the dinosaurs getting out.
Another thing is to consider who's been hired to write the script. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver wrote the script to the last Planet of the Apes film which was set in a modern city, while still incorporating the essence of the previous films. I think we'll see a modern adaptation of Jurassic Park this time - not so "primitve" on an island int he middle of nowhere. I expect JP4 will be heavily shot in human populated areas. Without a doubt.

You know what's sad? I never played Operation Genesis. I need to get my hands on a copy and catch up! I've seen YouTube vids of it and it looks awesome!
As for the latest JP game, I too have not played it, and after reading the reviews and seeing the gameplay, I must agree with you Trevor, it doesn't look like an incredible game. Unfortunate really. Hopefully we get another game like Genesis in the coming years! Imagine how cool that would be with the new age graphics that the new Xbox and Playstations (and PCs) bring to the table!

I know people are gonna hate me for this, but The Lost World. I love that it gives the story's background a bit more depth, Malcolm's my favorite character, and Goldblum's one of my favorite actors. Ian's dialogue in both the movies and the books can't be beat (Dat Chaos Theory >BE ). Plus, how to solve the age old question of making T-Rex's cooler. ADD MORE T-REXS!!!
ReplyTyrannoTrevorJurassic World ForumInGen Vs BioSyn Vs HammondAug 14, 2012
Admin supports Rex domination? Today is a good day...
On a more relevant note, I feel like if it were a mainland story, they would have to work on one very coherent story. Dinosaurs just running amok kind of seems silly and cliche, plus they wouldn't exactly be a problem for our military...the game park seems like a good start to that, or BioSyn trying to replicate Jurassic Park. Would definitely like something similar to happen to Dodgson like the Lost World book. Brutal, and deviated from the previous movie in order to create a more scientifically accurate approach to the T-Rex. Maybe have them more successfully clone the dinosaurs, since the amphibian DNA is what led to them having such odd traits. I don't know, just my thoughts.

sounds great Luigi!...i love the idea of bringing Malcolm back
and that the dinos are developing intelligence
i especially like the genetic engineering angle...maybe some of the eggs had been gathered by the military before they cleansed the island
and these eggs have been further modified for military advantage!!
thanks for the thread! :)

Also Biosyn releases a deadly spray that comes
Out of the ground and makes the dino's more intelligent, but it affects human's eyesight and causes dizziness
