Assuming one of the other islands has dinosaurs too, not sure. It's hard to say. Probably between Lex/Tim and Eric. Kelly and Arby don't know as much about dinosaurs as the others.

Lex and Tim. They've been there before.
ReplyDinosaur.FanaticJurassic Park ForumFavorite Jurassic Park KidJul 28, 2013
Ok, put them all on another island in the five deaths that no one has been on before. Which team then?
ReplyDinosaur.FanaticJurassic Park ForumFavorite Jurassic Park KidJul 28, 2013
If the kids were split into teams, which team do you guys think would survive longest on Nublar, if the teams were:
Team 1: Eric
Team 2: Lex and Tim
Team 3: Kelly and Arby

@ Rex Fan -- So you prefer TIm older and more mature than Lex. I agree. Tim is too much of a hinderance in the movie.
@Delta -- Is that Eric vs. movie Tim, or vs. book Tim?

I have two favorites - Kelly from the Lost World movie, and Eric from JPIII. I like Kelly's easy-going nature and her ability to conform to a situation. She is loyal to Sarah and Malcolm, she doesn't get in the way or cause trouble like Lex and Tim, and her awesome acrobatic abilities come in handy to injure a raptor and save her dad. I like Eric because of his genuine interest in dinosaurs, his resourcefulness in surviving the horrors of Sorna for eight weeks, and his accumulated knowledge he has gained to help his family survive and save Grant.

I alway wanted a 70 foot spinosaur from Argentina that I could name Megasuchus.
ReplyDeltadromeusJurassic Park ForumFavorite Jurassic Park KidJul 28, 2013
I'm in between Tim and Eric. Lets go with Eric. Frankly, I want to see Tim, Lex, and Eric get stranded in Nublar and have to survive.
ReplyRex Fan 684Jurassic Park ForumFavorite Jurassic Park KidJul 28, 2013
I'd say the book version of Tim. He's a dino-nut like me, and half the people here at that, haha
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Not a bad name. Assuming it is indeed a spinosaur. Tyrannosuchus would not be bad either. But Phobodon really emphasizes the teeth, Horror Mouth's most notable feature.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Yep. If she finds a horror mouth, then I guess everyone here is in agreement that it will be called phobodon.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Same. You already know the names I came up with though.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Maybe if she brought back a snake eater (Serpentinethantus) and named it that. I really want to name a dinosaur.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Would you rather a Delta skull or a new species?
The good skull belonging to Deltadromeus may help settle the debate about if it's a ceratosaur or an allosaurian dinosaur. Seems like an allosaur to me, but you never know.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
I want a skeleton Utahraptor and Deltadromeus. Please DinoFights sister, bring back a Delta skull.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
There should be a museum with a Spino, Giga, Carchar, and Rex skeleton standing together. That way, people can determine for them selves with is biggest. I'm not talking a 12 meter(40 feet) T-rex or a 23 meter(70 feet) Spino. I'm saying skeletons at the best possible "middle ground" sizes. 14 meter Tyrannosaurus for example. If they can't find the needed skeletons, Spino might present a problem, then make replicas as close the real thing as physically possible. Even use the bones they do have in the mounted skeletons. That would be awesome!

Glad I could help.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
Okay. That clears up having meters as three point something in my head.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
3 feet 3 inches equals 1 meter.
I was using meters because GigaDino did, figured I would too. I use both.
A 13 meter Tyrannosaurus is 43 feet, give or take an inch or two.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
Why is everything in meters. I doth understand it.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
I agree that Giga was longer than Mapu. I say Giga is about 12-14 meters long and Mapu is about 10-12 meters. But that's just me. I also think Rex is 12-15 meters.
But it's GigaDino's list, he can have them ordered as he sees fit.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
Giganotosaurus is longer than Mapusaurus. Or at least the one DinoFights sister dug up. At least include that. There is no arguing that it is longer than Mapusaurus.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
Some say it is, but I've seen a fair amount say it was 40 ft or so. I have it as 40 feet long and 5 tons on my site.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Let me know when you invent it. I wanna see an actual T-rex. The skeleton of a Giga at the Science Center in Baltimore is an adult. So is the Rex. Watch, of all things, the Tarbo is going to be bigger than both, haha
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
Wait, isn't Oxalaia 46-50 feet long?
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Yes, haha. I would really like to find, or at least see an adult Giganotosaurus. But it would be cooler when I invent a time machine.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
It would be cool. I will say you went from Sue to Giga/Ekrix very quickly, haha
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
There are rumors of 35 foot Utahraptors, but I don't see them getting past 23 feet or so.
While Horror Mouth is big, the remains are so poor, it's hard to say how big. I've seen people say its as small as 35 feet and as big as 50 feet. Then again, Das Monster Van Minden is known from poor remains too. I actually have seen a lot of estimations that say it's only 26-30 feet, but I'm not going to jump to conclusions. Dinosaurs like T-rex and Allosaurus are somewhat easy to figure out(length that is) because of good remains. These others are very rare and very poorly preserved.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
It would be nice if the bones that DinoFights sister dug up were in a museum and was made into a life size replica of that Giganotosaurus and Ekrixinatosaurus. And maybe even our fight as one of the possible fight for it. That would be really cool.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
The Chicago Field Museum. While the most complete Rex, I don't think Sue represents the biggest size an adult Rex could be.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
On a sort of different topic, do you know where they keep "Sue"?
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Yeah. I'll make a post about what I find out when I get back.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
What about horror mouth? Utahraptor is 25 feet long.
ReplyDeltadromeusDinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
If there was a Spino skeleton there too, we could really find out who is the biggest theropod.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumTop 20 Longest Theropods - Update VersionJul 28, 2013
I think Tarbosaurus could be on the list. It was about 11-12 meters long.
You did an updated length post. You going to do an updated weight one too?
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Good to know, haha
Sorry Delta, I think I'll stick with my life, haha.
I'm going to be studying the Giga and Rex skeletons like crazy to try and figure out the size differences. It'll be a great opportunity to compare the two dinosaurs.
ReplyRex Fan 684Dinosaurs ForumChapter 6Jul 28, 2013
Thanks. I wanted to give Storm and Synca a break and let them goof off a bit, haha
I'm gonna be going to Baltimore and they have a science center that features dinosaurs. A Giganotosaurus, Tarbosaurus, and I think a Tyrannosaurus just to name a few. Plus life sized statues of Acrocanthosaurus and Astrodon.
Glad you like this chapter and I will get 7 and 8 up first chance I get.
